Nick Gilder's City Nights is a fantastic album/CD. It's a shame he never had much recognition outside of Hot Child In The City which is one of my all time favorite songs. Thanks for posting this video.
Here Comes The Night? Was that on there? That one got some traction as well but yeah. Nick Gilder wrote a ton of great songs but he only had like 3 hits.
How many songs made today stick in your mind like this song. Not many ,not for me. He played at my high school when he was very young. I think it was around 1977.
Little known fact...Bryan Adams was the singer for Sweeney Todd from '76 to '77 when Nick Gilder left to go solo...wonder if he could cover their songs now...cheers
Nick and his family moved to British Columbia, Canada and no he's not a one hit wonder! After some rough times and wanting a solo career, Bryan Adams became lead singer but only for a short time, Bryan was 15 and I remember Sweeney Todd playing at my grade 8 dance, super guy! I've known Nick and his family since the 1960s, I went to elementary school with Nick's brother Steve, and met Bryan Adams in 1977, have kept in touch with both over the years! Nick lives about half hour from me.
Hi Kathy. We’re cut from the same era…lol. Nick had left for LA and Bryan had just joined ST when they played my high school dance. I was in grade 8. The rival HS football team crashed the dance and trashed all the gym washrooms. Suffice to say no more HS dances. But what a memory! 🇨🇦
Saw them at super Sunday Vancouver with little river band and heart,Jim McCullough was my neighbour and his brother had a 71 sublime hemi cuda ,good times
Hello Tisdale from Swift Current, Sweeny Todd were rocking Speedy Creek on the weekend a last minute fill in for the Stampeders who cancelled for some reason but they called Nick Gilder and they put on a great show. Thanks to Sweeney Todd for filliing in on a two day notice. Cheers
They are playing to THEIR audience. Fantastic. So glad this came along my way!
Who else's audience would they play to?
Gotta play this song at max volume +1. So cool that Nick can rock it still as good to this day!
Yes
Lol - I wouldn’t say that he’s rockin’ it.
Man I have been a fan since the 70's.

Love these guys .
He still sounds damn good. Good recording as well.
Yup, he sounded very good for sure. Very fun show. Hearing Radar Love/Highway Star and Roxy Roller in the same set was great!
That Flying V player has great tone!

🤩🤩🤩
You'd think these aging Rock bands would professionally video record some of their concerts 😎
Why there not make believe they are real and f..... Better than Knew
Why don't you volunteer your services?
😆 1:17 … what happened to the “woowoowoowoo” effect? Oops! Even got stage right look from the band 😆
Still got the voice.
Where?
Damn he can still sing really well ..not quite the feminine tone he used to have but still badass
Bubble gum crowd
Adore this song! When I think glam rock NG is the first man I think of.
