So glad you got to react to this song, which was a bonus track on the CD version of the album.
I always thought it should have replaced Phobia on the original tracklist (the homage to Motorhead's Ace of Spades). Shiva brings a lot of atmosphere to the album and acts as an interlude in the Nephilim journey.
Well, I guess FON were on Beggars Banquet, which was a distributor of 4AD. If I'm not mistaken. It's like Bauhaus, same relation. All connected.
Great atmosphere. Love it.
Cool Song ! -- "The three main Hindu gods that make up the Trimurti are Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Brahma is the god of creation, Vishnu the god of preservation, and Shiva the god of destruction". Shiva's (Male Aspect here) Consort, is known as Shakti (Female Aspect).
Ty for the info semchen :)

Awesome track. Fields of the Nephilim play the blues.
Pretty cool groove JP but feels kind of on the lighter side after working a 4-band double-tap metal gig featuring Cannibal Corpse and Amon Amarth this weekend. 😁
God (m) of destruction. I’m afraid that the female goddesses are somewhat less known
