This is now my most watched series on UA-cam. Haven't been into Smoove so much since back in the day where he played 2k10 and MW2. Nice to see that he is one of the few youtubers that didn't change
So let me get this straight... next gen got some of the players real voices for half time interviews, but couldn't get any real player voices for my player mode except that SAME DUDE from the past 2k games my player modes? C'MON 2K!
Smoove, I noticed a few things through this video: 1) Your expectations are pretty high for a lottery-bound team like the Suns to meet. I doubt you'll make the playoffs with them. 2) There is a lack of three-point shooters on the Suns. They got rid of Dudley, traded Butler once they acquired him, and they got rid of Shannon Brown. They still have the Morris brothers and Frye and others but they are too inconsistent. 3) If you want to be on a winning team, you need to get traded. Otherwise, it would be best if you just dealt with the pains of being on a lottery team, just so we can see how you respond to not being on a playoff-bound team. Also, saving your VC for later would be good for when your teammates are better so you can all improve at once. Sorry for the long post everybody.
Man how great does this game look for being a launch game. I can't wait for 3-5 years from now this game is going to look incredible and have incredible animations that will make it impossible to tell the difference between a real game and a videogame

I really love how the shooting% is not extremly high like in 2k13 so you dont have to score 120+ points in every game to win. Furthermore the game looks fantastic I can't wait till the PS4 release in Europe!

That's disrespectful , he took a rockets team and a hornets team to a championship and he would have done it for the kings which two teams had lottery picks. He just needs to improve his player, when he player is better he makes his teammates better especially that the suns are doing good in real life, plus when smoove starts winning the chemistry will bring the players stats up. I don't see them being lower than the 2nd seed
Hopefully they'll create a few generic player voices...I don't think it's reasonable to capture DIFFERENT LINES for each of the 500+ players, coaches, GMs, and trainers in the league. Audio files are huge.
I honestly think they didnt add voices during cut scenes or change the my player voice so they would have something to add in next year (along with being able to fully customize your face) cause honestly how are they going to add anything else to my career w/ out leaving those things out and changing the story line up a little
Radon Bust Sur like mass effect. But NBA 2K ain't mass effect. What I mean by this is that 2K is not experienced in stuff like facial animations and that it is not it's not one of the most important part of the games unlike mass effect. Furthermore they have a new console generation for which to do this, and a new game engine (I think) so not a lot of time to do so.

they have voice acting for random npc's, but for actual people, it seems like they don't want to fake their voices, and it'll be too expensive to get their actual voices.

They clearly spent a lot of time developing this story for the My Career mode, and as an end user having real dialogue makes more sense to me than silent subtitles.
Very nice video dude, keep it up. But you should try playing some better basketball, like posting up the big men, cutting, running some plays. You basically just go for pick and roll and easy 3es when the shitty Ai leaves the shooters open. If you start running some plays the games will be more enjoyble.

Smoove you're not playing with the Suns right. Tucker isn't a 3 point shooter, so you can't pass to him unless he's wide wide wide open on the three point line. Also, Frye can only shoot 3s, and he can't do anything else. Morris is much more versatile in that he can shoot 3s and make layups/draw fouls. Later when you start, Bledsoe and Dragic aren't great 3 point shooters either. You will need to run every fast break opportunity you can, which is why it is important to upgrade your speed and quickness first before everything else.
I'm playing right. When you get double and triple teamed you're supposed to pass to the open teammate.... It's not like I can tell my teammates to slash after I pass it. Take a look at the defense against us one more time in this video and you'll see. I'm making good decisions.
freelander ??? How is that conceited? Are you saying that when I get double or triple teamed I need to force a shot through 2 or 3 defenders instead of passing the ball? That would be silly especially with the attributes I have right now.
Why is there no audio from Bledsoe and your Coach and all that, they give the rival a voice. It's a simple concept, I mean they don't have to sound exactly like the real players but it's annoying without it. Any chance for a patch from 2k on that?
Because the rival is a voice actor. Getting real players and coaches in the studio to record hours worth of cutscenes would be very difficult and probably not worth the players' time. If they didn't have the real voices feature in interviews this wouldn't even be an issue to some people. Just appreciate what they have in the game right now.
those are scripted events that will happen with every team. they had to mute the guys otherwise they would need to get every player in the nba to read the script.

Stunning graphics but the only let down is the conversations. I understand it's really hard and/or annoying to add voices for every team but it just looks really embarrassing with subtitles and the player's mouth shut.
I dont think Chris will make the playoffs with a team like the suns. They're lacking some things, mainly three point shooters. But who knows... Chris Smoove is the only person i know you can score 35 pts on a draft game lol.

How is it that his teammates always seem to take the shot when he passes to them, when I play they always seem to gather or take a dribble then shoot thus eliminating the assist. or they just don't shoot. Is there a way to "tell" the players to shoot the ball? Any suggestions would be great!
gotta know who your shooters are. guys like tucker and lee are nothing more than average shooting the ball. on the suns you want to be getting shots for dragic, morris twins and channing frye should be able to shoot... i guess green isnt bad either. but thats pheonix for ya. dont expect them all to be lights out shooters.

For the halftime interviews it was sound cut out from real interviews and put into the game

I live in Phoenix and last week I went to the Suns vs. Pelicans game and was lucky enough to see Green to throw it down twice!
