Of course it can...Protos its always amazing against Tears, and with less people running Nib..you can make longyuan first and get more draws...However, going second against Tears its quite a challenge, and with so many people banishing your gy, you can't get the second effect of your sw, or even the tenyis..
Tearlament in its current state is way more beatable than people are assuming. Though I honestly think that has more to do with the playerbase than any of the banlist hits since it's such a high execution deck. Swordsoul and Sky Striker are the only decks I've seen beat it with relatively minor changes, but they can fare better by going to heavier extremes, like the extra Protos Pak is cooking here, or shoving in extra copies of Multirole and Shark Cannon to go with the D.D. Crows(and occasional Ghost Belles) in Sky Striker's case. I've also thought about running the Ishizu shufflers in both cases, but that can get a bit bricky, and I've seen Tearlaments players brick on them a surprising number of times, leading to the games being a complete joke to handle. Kelbek is such a useful handtrap even if you're playing a deck that never wants to mill though.
Because u guys need to get gud in this game. I got d1 with Swordsoul with just 1 Protos. No need to use 3 or hand trap version just master the deck and the interactions.

Protos turbo... i thought about that a few times in the past. It's definitely necessary in some regards because you have a higher chance if constantly shutting them down with the 1st turn draw.
"Macro cosmos" will instantly beat tearlament if you can set up and go first. Activate that trap with any deck and tearlaments is dead of course it works a little better with zombie decks, and banished decks , but I find it to work good with swordsoul as well I am Diamond Tier 1 with my swordsoul deck with x2 Macro Cosmos and x3 Evenly Matched

Managed to beat a tearlements and a full on coutner tearlements Exo sisters with all the banish cards possible with Unchained fealt so good.
