I am 72 years old; silver hair, blue eyes, fair to medium skin. I wish I could find someone like you with my coloring to acquire tips on makeup. I am a fairly new newbie when it come to makeup.
I understand. I do say humbly, I was fortunate to be a natural beauty. Some eyeliner, but that's it until recently noticing I NEED makeup now being old (sigh). It's finding the right foundation driving me nuts to find giving an inner natural glow/radiance of youth, for sensitive skin, and affordable. Have some age spots tho TG I wasn't a sun worshipper. So I HEAR YOU. Hooded eyes and all LOL.

Dr Dray said that the worst thing you can do for your lips is to use a scrub and it will make your lips even peel worse. Instead, use a lip oil and let it soften the shreds and they will peel off by themselves.

Shorts never come up on YT notifications. I seldom use lipliner, have very few fine lines around my lips. I use Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor but there is no red choice at my d/s, it stays on all nite. Thx for the tips as I also love lipgloss! Will check yr products! I found as far as lip pencils and long lasting lipsticks go...the products make all the difference!! I have been guilty of thinking I'm doing something wrong but it was just a smudgy lip pencil that didn't last.

Tip for the longwear liquid lipsticks: instead of the shiny topcoat use plain shea butter like potted lip balm after the lipstick dries down, I use it on top of the CoverGirl and both Maybellines to keep my lips comfortable without affecting the lip color, It doesn't mattify or add shine, just gives a nice natural finish that lasts,
City Lips are worth the price and they have BOGOs. I just got the gloss at BOGO and the mascara at a BOGO.

Did you by chance try Mac lip stick and liner? I have found that line to stay and never bleed.
I did, it actually didn't do so well under gloss, it was one of my arm swatches.
I need to try this tips .I always just throw on A gloss . I like mauves I wanted to try a nude so bad . I have medium skin with cool undertones
It’s hard if you have a darker natural lip tone. Because we can’t go lighter with a nude or we look dead, lol. “They” whoever they are, say to go 2 shades darker than natural skin tone for a Nude…I’m in brown territory!

How do you keep your lipstick from bleeding onto your mask?
I don't wear lipstick with a mask...but I'm in AZ and Florida, the only time I ever wear a mask is flying or in the doctors office!!
I thought that city lips was a lip plumper but you use it every day and you have fairly thin lips. My question is, does city lips make a regular gloss
and if so is that what you use at night!
It’s not a real plumping lipgloss. It’s just full of hyaluronic acid so it keeps your lips from getting thin and dried out but I can’t say that it makes them “bigger“
