I could watch this over and over all day. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I would love to learn how to set a table as lovely as this. ♥️ I’m at a loss for words. Thank you
Brilliant ideas!!!! I also have a very complete set of Old Country Roses. I am a china queen. I am embarrassed to say how many complete patterns of beautiful china I have collected over the years. I think changing out your everyday and special event dishes make life so much more fun. I thoroughly enjoy creating a new 'table'. It's not so terribly expensive to do, especially when you find a discontinued pattern, and you can finish out the set by going to Replacements. My three adult children have picked out their favorite patterns and whenever they are ready for their 'dishes', it's ready for them.
This video is really creative - thanks! I like the mixed silverware, hadn't thought of that before. What a great job - strolling up and down the aisles of Replacements to find just the right pieces!
Wish you would do these kinds of videos every month, at least. I just bought Coalport dinner plates and gold rimmed salad plates so my Wedgwood wild strawberry wouldn’t look too matchy. The ladies at the birthday party I hosted love the looks.
I love your ideas! Do you have any ideas for ways that I could use my Royal Doulton Carlyle with other patterns to liven it up like for Christmas and toning it down for a more casual look?
My dream job...buying dinner wear china and dressing tables for an expensive hotel chain. PS Old Country Rose is my china pattern. It always looks elegant.
We are often asked about the purpose of using a charger (sometimes called a service plate). Here are our reasons why it's a useful addition to any table setting: - adds an opportunity to add another layer of color and design to the setting - protects your linens and table surface from heat/cold/wetness - when doing a buffet style meal, it holds the setting "place" for the guest
Beautiful!! With all the plates stacked together and the guest's are seated and food is served. Do you remove the settings or leave it as is? How do you eat your soup and salad? Do you eat them on top of a salad or dinner plate. I have been reading and finding answers for weeks no one can tell me the proper way. Thanks!
the guests will remove the napkin first. Then the guests will move the coffee cup and place it to the right of the water glasses or just above and to the right of the water glasses. The soup is served right on top of the salad plate. After that course, the soup Bowl is removed. The salad is served right on top of the salad plate which is still on top of the dinner plate. After that course, the salad plate is removed. The challenge for me, is that I serve European style and we eat the salad last. So my salad plates are not brought out until the dinner plate is removed.

Why are you placing the service plate below the dinner plate?
