I recommend that you replace the old grass and plant either hopped clover or alpha hay the goats cow and lama will love it and you would fertilize it ( like so flair can see)

I do turf management for a living, and could give you some insight. You dont need to till up the whole area before you seed... you could get away with using a scarifier or just rough up the surface a little bit. A tiller would make such a mess and just dig up and expose weed seeds and make everything all lumpy and unstable. Just a simple roughing up the surface, fertilization, and seeding with a proper grazing mix is all you need. Once you get some kind of establishment I would just maintain it with overseeding a few times throughout the year. If for some reason you do get compacted spots then you could scarify the areas that need it then reseed those areas.

For the reseeding the pasture area i would recommend digging it all up and reseeding a pasture mix of different grasses from a country store and then fence the area off, that is the most important part because you have to build a solid turf
Move the animals to a new, fresh pasture for now. Then till, lay fresh garden soil, plant, fertilize, and, water the old one. Be sure to plant fast growing grass thats best for them, maybe even some hay. Then once its fully grown, move them back, and, repeat the same process with the new pasture. You should make a compost pile so you can make good nutritional soil. You can even use old hay, and, manure, (you know that stuff you usually like to burn!) Lol it's gonna be a huge pile so forget containers.Just make a pile, water, and turn it with the claw daily.The soil you get from this will be much better than what you can buy, and, you'll have plenty of it! I hope that helps!❤

When I cook pigeon or quails on the grill I put aluminum foil under the bacon wrapped bird. It keeps the juice instead of it falling in the grill.
the grass happened to me too. what I did was till it walk around with a seed spreader give it a little fertilizer and set up a sprinkler to go off in the morning so it gets an addition to the morning dew

I’m a lawn care guy and what you should do is till that dirt up and add some topsoil for te seeding them cover it with straw and let it grow you wouldn’t want to put fertilizer just because it could be bad for the animals but keep it watered

Don’t bother trying to re grow in those small pens, you need a fencer to come in and boundary some decent sized paddocks so you can rotate the stock on fresh feed and then it at least allows you to let it grow back. Then you can look at a fertiliser plan, harrowing. Could even look at cropping and break feeding 😂 not sure if that’s a thing in the USA though but what the heck.

I am a landscaper, you first need to till the ground up then put seed down. Then rake the seed into the the ground so it deos not wash away. Then put starter fertilizer down. It looks like you need all new grass.

Add some really good top dollar grass seed and some really good fertilizer and maybe some straw ontop to help hold the grass seed down with how windy Nebraska is, give it a few months with no animals on it and the grass should start looking a hell of a lot better. You could also aerate before you sow grass seed to help it grow a little fast and stay easier
