A jewel, on the Indian Ocean
    --------------
Weligama, literally meaning “sandy village” has one of the most beautiful, swimmable bays in Sri Lanka.
The one and two bedroom apartments are designed with value and sustainability in mind. They lift the soul and make everyday life easy.
    Design-led. Sri Lankan-inspired.
    ----------------
Southbeach Weligama’s colours are inspired from its natural surroundings. It’s oxidised copper façade and the blue/green glass of the balconies complement the colours of the ocean and coconut trees.
High ceilings, large rooms and balconies add an air of spaciousness and feeling of well-being. All the furniture is handmade by talented Sri Lankan carpenters and masons.
    Awash with culture
    --------------
Weligama is home to one of Sri Lanka’s few swim-friendly beaches, and its tropical waters attract surfers in search of fantastic breaks.
To the East, Mirissa offers glimpses of its famous blue whales and a laid-back backpacker scene. Travel West, and Galle and its World Heritage-listed Fort overflow with unique culture and nightlife.
    Convenient yet secluded
    ---------------
Sri Lanka’s main airport, Bandaranaike International, is just outside Colombo and provides direct connections to major hubs in the UK and Europe as well as India, China, Russia, Singapore, Qatar and the Emirates.
From there, the drive to your home is along the smooth Southern Expressway, past picturesque paddy fields and rolling coconut plantations.
    Life in harmony
    ---------------
A philosophy of sustainability runs through Southbeach Weligama. It’s our aim to meet the Platinum requirements of the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka - the nation’s leading authority on green building practices.
The synergy between renewable energy and design is vital, that’s why we use turbines and solar panels to power the lobby and restaurant areas and use rain water harvesting systems to conserve water.
Sustainability also means helping local communities to prosper. We do this by cultivating strong relationships with local farmers, artists and craftsmen. Our restaurant uses produce from local organic farms wherever possible and each piece of furniture is carefully crafted by Sri Lankan artisans.
