- An homage to the GI Joe Adventure Team TV commercials from the 1970's. This video was part of the Film Festival at the 2009 International GI Joe Collectors Convention in Kansas City, MO.
I really like how this captures the nostalgic playing-in-your-backyard feel, while simultaneously updating the look and feel of the Adventure Team.
Very nice. Can't wait to show my daughter. She loves my Adventure Team collection.

Loved how you put the AT back into action. I still have most of mine and still collecting. One of my AT members lost his hair from a firecracker in the trenches and was in poor condition, so I turned him into a zombie, which is my picture icon..:-)
Awesome! I was lucky to have grown up in the 60’s and 70’s when toys, particularly the “big” G.I. Joes, were very cool.

So THAT"s where all of my stuff went! LOL. That was a great video and brought back a lot of memories. Between my cousin and me, we had nearly all of that stuff. GI Joe's AT was a great toy line up.

I destroyed so much GI Joe stuff as a kid! Wish I had it all now. I had that land rover (6 wheeled vehicle) and played with it ALOT! I think it finally became a firework casualty. I found that the "Kung Fu Grip" was perfect for holding firecrackers. I had alot of earlier stuff like the jeep with trailer, signal light and howitzer, the space capsule, I remember a patrol boat too. Not sure if the boat was official GI Joe or not.
One word… EPIC!!!

@ligijoe Were all these toys "YOURS" from when you were a kid, or did you pick them up later...? I still have all my Adventure Team stuff from when I was a kid, but I never had the Mobile Support Vehicle (Man, that thing was cool). Have you seen the new Adventure Team stuff that has been made for the G.I.Joe Fan Club and the conventions the past few years? This year it looks like they're coming out with a new version of the "Spy Island" set!!
I had a Black GI Joe with kung-fu grip when I was eight years old.
I definitely wanted Mike Power, Atomic Man, even though I had a Kenner Six Million Dollar Man figure.
Remember Bulletman, The Human Bullet? I got him for my tenth birthday.

@ligijoe there's a club? I have been dying to get into this for years now. I miss the old days and there's nothing I have fonder memories of than of the adventure team. You were part of the group that produced the buggy for this year's convention? I was checking it out. How do you get into that?

@rleary1 I agree the 3 3/4 Joes suck. Damnd if they did it to us again "12" generation" just when I was looking forward to more Timeless collection stuff they fizzed out. Hasbro needs better public relations I have emailed many times and request return of 12" Joe and no reply. Well BBI Dragon DiD have got them covered. But still have a place in my heart for Joes Fuzz head'or painted ones too Love em!! Take care!!

The "Then and Now" made me think the video was going to feature new G.I. JOE figures wearing rainbow colored uniforms, being transgendered with a voice pull string that made them say, "Where's my safe space?!" LOL!

@c0deMunkey 80'S Joe's suck. Little 3 3/4 cheap figures. Original 60's early 70 figs/weapons/clothese/vehicles rule. I have around 60 complete Joes and 'No, the little 80 ones would not kick their butt'. My daughter borrows their Bazookas & hand grenades to play with her Barbies now.
