Greetings from Oregon. I've been watching these videos for years and just now, 5-24, wanted to Thank You 💓 , for sharing your life. Im an avid flyfisher, as are my 9 kids. We All Love watching you and your Mom catching. *** Godspeed 🙏❤️
When you go to BC for Steel, not if you go, this is the place! Remote, beautiful and the best of guides! A passion for the river, Knowledge of the fish, an experience you will never forget.
I just started fly fishing and watching this young woman is an inspiration. How cool is it that she has this life and her mother and her sharing it together. How nice it would be to visit such a place and be able to fly fish there. I wish you all the success and happiness. How lucky you are... You go girl(s)!!! And to the film maker... EXCELLENT JOB! You have a gift I think! Good luck to all of you!! I hope a part 2 will be out soon! Best Regards, John
Todd, I have watched and repeatedly watch your videos, sometimes for enjoyment, sometimes as a meditation and sometimes just because. They never get old. Some still bring me to tears even though I've seen the same ones countless times. Thank you, thank, you, thank you!
This is the real deal. It brought back some great memories of living in BC and fishing the Cowichen river in Duncan and up stream in the mid 1980’s. I was lucky to have a green card and a Symphony appointment in Victoria for a season. I didn’t fly fish but used a long rod and Hardy Silex. Those screaming runs and jumps on this video were just fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Great video of a fishing family in the beautiful back country of BC. Definitely have to add this as a destination on my bucket list. Nice double spay by someone who knows what she is doing by the nice steelhead she caught and missed ,as we all do.
AMAZING! Fantasic music (that stays Quietly in the background!!!) , Wonderfully put together images, and Oh MY....how perfect is she! lol....I struggle for words to find about the dream - finding such a beautiful lady, who loves to fish so much, whose passion for the sport is that huge! I have this video saved as a favorite on 3 computers and my iphone. It's very special. Thanks for putting it together!
Once in a while you can find a jewel at youtube video's but this time I found a precious diamond. What a camera, what a cast and what an experience to see this. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Aart Hennekes Hi Aart, Thanks so much. That area up in British Columbia is a special place. Hannah and Alice run a world class operation that I was very lucky to experience for over a week.
Just finished watching part 2,awesome story, fishing,& general back to earth life style, would be cool to see a video with her & april vokey together, they have so much in common, what a story line,& ideas they could share.
Oh yes all day ! I love BC and the fishing there. I'm from Sweden 🇸🇪 and I move to USA for years! As I'm back home I do miss it big. Keep flys simple effective! They need to be alive in the water that's the key. Love this video! Take care of your family and be safe out there 🙏 Bjorn the swed
Steelhead for girls. You have my sincerest respect ladies. Speycasts, the lot. Where is it, the Dean? Skeena? Mother and daughter! Whow! A real pleasure to watch. Thanks for this upload! I need to fly for over 12 hours to get to Seattle and from there another day in small planes to even get close to Steelhead. Atlantic Salmon in Russia (Kola Peninsula) is easier to reach and they fight just as hard!
Awesome ... approaching my 3rd year flyfishing, this has surely got my curiousity up when it comes to Spey ... Great job ... lookin for the next vid !!
I luv it !! How are you and your Mother doing today ? Those fish looked like little whales coming in. Such finesse' and beauty in your casting and bringing those monsters in to shore...NO NET !! The best ever.
I was deeply offended when the owner Mike Brown at Mossy’s Fly Shop in Anchorage Alaska called this Talented Angler “ man hands” when I mentioned how incredible her guide operation and hard work paid off. It really disgusted me that a fly shop full of men talk about women anglers with so much jealousy and harsh words that are far from true. That’s when I made it my bucket list to hopefully spend a few days with this incredible woman! As a man, I respect the family aspect of her growing up fishing. It’s what inspired me to raise my son to be an angler and now he surpassed me. All the awful things Mike and his co workers at mossy’s said should take a lesson from a real passionate, successful angler and keep the negativity to themselves when a new customer comes in excited that a woman inspired a young man such as myself. I knew it was jealousy however it was heartbreaking knowing that comment really broke my Heart. I love this angler, her family dynamic, her success and she’s passionate. Seems these days if corporate business don’t like you they say awful things. This person is a true angler and I only wish I can gain 10% of her skill.
I my apologies and not trying to be malicious. I just wanna spread awareness of the garbage in Alaska. I don’t know when Flyfishing became a mafia up here.
Best fly fishing video I've ever seen. Watched it over and over for the last half year. Great editing and can someone please tell me where the music comes from in the second half of the clip? Awsome song!! Thanks.
Wow!!! You are some fly fisherwoman.Great video and nice fish.I am in the Catskill MT NY. We have fish like that here. Thank You!!! Oh yah did say nice fish!!!!!!!
We have browns in the Pepacton Reservoir that are over 4 feet long,it is known locally that the new state record will be from the Pepacton. Divers have gone down to look for people who have drown and could not believe what they saw . The reservoir is over 190' deep. I myself have see 4' browns leaving the reservoir to spawn in the fall. I have fished Pulaski, does not compare I had a brown on mid April that you would die for,so have fun in Pulaski! and DREAM ON THATS WHATS FISHING IS ABOUT!!!!!
A man made water tank an hour from NYC and a stocked DEC trout originally imported from Germany eating non native alewives. BTW...Lake record 22 lbs. and 37". Long way from 4 feet long martin kirsch
They grow them in the hatchery 25 lb. Give me a brake. The streams upstate are like fishing a trout hatchery,100 guys casting into a 30 ft wide stream and snagging bows, brown, and salmon.Yea that's fishen! Have you ever caught a fish before or are you just blowing smoke up your ass???? Oh yea and 37'' is only 11'' away from 48'. Wow, that's real far away. Stop your dum commets and go catch a 37'' brown if possible.
i just bought a switch rod. used it up on the salmon river and my attemot at casting was ugly compared to this woman. going to try to get some instruction. very impressed with the distance they get from these rods. what beautiful this is. anyone know what river this is?
Sitting here in over-crowded, increasingly shitty, polluted England, this would be a dream life for me.....I hope they know how lucky they are to live in these places! Great film :)
+Matt Ward The same kind of people who turned England into a shitty polluted place want to do the same thing to the Skeena and it's headwaters. Shame on them!!!
How do I find these people for guiding services. Great video best I have seen so far and great to see women doing this not many of us out there that can.
There are so many fishing videos on UA-cam which clutch vainly at the profound or are steeped in melodrama, but fail miserably to do anything but wade knee-deep in cliche. This is instead offers a simple (if unique) story simply told - but isn't that what our sport should be all about? Wonderful video - I wish I could forget it just to watch it for the first time again.
Her name is Hannah Belford. She and her mother, Alice, are the owner/operators of Damdochax River Lodge in northern British Columbia near Damdochax Lake. Hannah is an awesome angler! www.damdochax.com

I'm seeing float planes, helicopters, and no roads. I'd be surprised if this wasn't over $1000/day plus tip, and you need to fly yourself to a meeting point.

What could possibly be more impressive to watch....A stunningly beautiful woman, amazing fisherman(person, woman etal) fishing for Steelhead in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I could sit and watch her all day....! then of course cook "her" a wonderful meal and share a bottle of fine wine, then sit by the fire and look into her gorgeous eyes....
