I finally when my steelheading January this year(2023) and on my second run I connected with a 32” wild Buck. It changed me as an angler. I’m a guide who owns his own outfitter, I’m a filmmaker, and I’m a life long obsessed angler that chases fish in all water, but in all of that, I’ve never connected with such a crazy experience with Nature like that Steelhead. It’s long wild journey to come home from its birth place to the middle of Idaho and he took my tiny fly. Amazing.
Wow Not a whole lot of people in the world can you explain the passion the obsession with the addiction of steelhead fishing but you sir damn near hit the nail right on the head with this one excellent excellent short film
I’m a steelhead virgin, only salty surf Skagit fly angler 365, never fish for SHead and I never was interested to chase one of those amazing bucks on the fly, I’m about to change my thoughts after watching this amazing clip. Thanks for the work and sharing!
Superb. The personal story, the videography and of course the steelhead which I'm fascinated by. I've not fished for them, but should I have the chance in BC, I hope I recall this video and your guide business!
It just hits me when this guy says: "I just wanted to get out of the crazyness". The world is so messed up place atm. Someday I will move to North too, here in Finland.
Lol Terrace the city is a shit hole, same with most northern British Columbia towns. High crime rates and homeless populations. Todd lives in a wooden palace out of town, naturally craziness doesn't surround him. False advertising.
Hi Todd 😊 First time I'm see this video and wow nice 👍 I'm from Scandinavia Sweden 🇸🇪 I did live in US and did drive for steelhead fishing every year. Has my friend in Oregon so fish a bit there. Would be fun fish whit you and I can bring my brother or a friend from Sweden too. I did go Scotland and Norway every year before for Atlantic salmon. So do you have any contact information how to get hold of you? Steelhead are fun fish. Just thankful for see your video 👍 Best regards from Sweden Scandinavia 🇸🇪 Bjorn
All public water, welcome to anyone. All you have to do is buy a license and make sure you have a classified waters license and steelhead conservation license. The rest is up to you.
You can do it on a shoe string. I started going in university with no money, no info and almost no gear. It's no more expensive than any other kind of travel unless you add guides and lodges. I do recommend a guide though.
