Andy Phillip I’m glad u saw this cuz I made my first bowl it’s only four inches but it’s awesome and tomorrow I’m gonna make some more stuff! I’m gonna keep trying and I’m learning from a master! He’s been doing it for 70 years
I can't be the only one catching myself staring slack jawed, watching in wonder and amazement, while you create magic. Thank you for sharing your passion!. :)
My first thought was "AHHH DON'T CUT IT IN HALF!!" My second thought was "oooo two pieces for the price of one" 😅 Edit: third thought "ooooor make the other half fit and magnetically attach onto the metal core"
Very cool! I thought it was going to be a core by itself, but it being in the globe makes it awesome! The mica and resin really shines for the mantle. Your videos are really inspiring for me for my woodworking!
Okay. I'm a geologist. I watched mouth agape while you carved and turned the globes. Right now, my jaw is on the floor watching you create this. Me and my friends would "Thunderdome" each other to have this piece of art. I have no words. Thanks for sharing your love for your hobby with us. A true inspiration for all of us to just get out there and create something beautiful.
Really glad you liked it ... I actually made 4 of these with different coloured oceans and continent's you can see pics on my Instagram or etsy .. definitely one of my favourite pieces .. 👍instagram.com/p/CBK798tjX39/?igshid=138x59wb610zn
My kids and I watch Woodturning every night and just stumbled on your channel. My boys say “you are very good at art and Woodturning”! Seriously the globe is it my friend!
What a great back to back to watch just before bedtime after a long day. First the globe, then the core. Andy...I just cannot get enough of watching you work. There is a pleasant simplicity to your vids and it has been such a joy watching you become shokunin before our eyes.
So beautiful and such a clever idea! Your color choices were perfect, including the different shade that you randomly drizzled in. I’d love to see you make a galaxy sphere to put beside it, or maybe one that opens up to reveal a hidden compartment. Thanks so much for sharing this 💜
I've started late with this stuff. Been doing manual and cnc machining for about 1.5 years and I'm 31, went to school and got a job at a shop I shadowed at while schooling. Your and a channel called Engineer BRUNS were what got me into it the first place. There is somthing magic about making stuff like this. Thankyou for the videos and please keep them ccoming!
Lol, not to discredit the guy who made it, but it takes 5 seconds of googling to find a diagram of the internal structures of the earth. It doesn't instantly make him a geology expert.
@@tristanschenkel3431 What IF? We all know its flat. I watch the SpaceX launch on Saturday and the Earth was obviously flat in the video. It's all doctored. The only true footage of what the earth WOULD look like IF we could go to space, is Asgard in Thor. The ability to fall off the edge.
Hi Andy. Another innovative piece of art work. An idea that sprung to mind and yet you created it. If we as humans could cut our planet in half then this would not be far off what it would look like if you get my drift. The earths mantle and crust is depicted in this creation and the colours do it justice. Again very well done.
Out of all of the projects I've seen of yours, this is BY FAR my FAVORITE!!!! I love space and you captured the layers of the earth perfectly in this absolutely stunning piece. I love all the different colors, the complexity and I thought it was very awesome using a metal ball as the inner core. As always Fantastic job!! You always seem to one up yourself. Can't wait for what's next!!!!
Andy, that is Brilliant. At first I was like, Uh Oh he's torn the world asunder ... What is he doing ? The world just got a bit brighter in your workshop ! Well Done again.
I watched the video in which you made the globe and found it truly beautiful. Seeing you split the globe in half kinda made me sad but the final product 😵 AMAZING
What can I say ?????? Beautiful ????? Too little...... Amazing ?????? Not fair...... Wonderful ????? Needs more..... Outstanding ????? Still needs more..... I don't know...... Words won't be able to reach the compliments you deserve. Keep up the wonderful work, will satisfy myself. Thank you for sharing
Wow. Takes a man of vision to chop that globe in half. There mustve been something telling you to leave it whole but the vision of what can be achieved by just going with your gut is outstanding. Absolutely lovely piece and you have another half to double your initial outlay.
Not only dose it look awesome it’s also very realistic because earth core is actually made out of various metals mainly out of iron and nickel. Keep up with the great content. :D
Three is only one thing I can say to you Andy, your vision and execution are nothing short of pure perfection and if only everyone had this kind of heart in what you see the world would be a better place. Amazing pure amazing 😉 stay safe .
Oh man, just when I thought it couldn't get any better you take an older project, rethink it and make another beautiful work of art ! Really like how you have the core as a metal ball, as it actually is. BRAVO SIR BROVO Love the gold medallion that you have added since I watched you further master your craft ! Amazing as usual ! Keep up that good work sir !
Hi Andy, When you started to cut the globe in 2 I thought NOOOOOO!!!! Then I thought this is an Andy Phillip video so everything will be fine. It's not fine Andy, it's INCREDIBLE!!!! Amazing work. Take care, Andy. Cheers, Huw
Oh mate. Your globe was my favourite of all your pieces. And you just made it even better. Blinding work Andy. It's inspired me to have a go. I might try copying this, but keep the two halves together with a small Hinge, so it opens up to show the core. 👍👍👍
Oh wow, that's so effing cool! I thought you'd do the same thing to the other half, but leave a hole in the middle and have them magnet together around the metal centre!
Keep up the good work I’m only 14 and a neighbor is teaching me how to wood turn and your videos rlly help keep it up!
Keep practicing!
Hope all goes well
That is awesome! Thanks

@5 minute bush craft, that's verry clether
Just when you thought a work of art couldn't get any better. . . Incredible piece, Andy.
Agreed 👍👍👍👍👍
Like how Bob Ross is painting and looks like he's ruining the painting but he turns it into a masterpiece
I can't be the only one catching myself staring slack jawed, watching in wonder and amazement, while you create magic. Thank you for sharing your passion!. :)
Awww you lost my side of the planet ! lol still really cool Andy, Thumbs up
Lol ..I thought I might get some stick for that .. keep a check on insta just on with making your side 👍
Lol
There are so very many cool variations in this idea that you could make! I love both your channel and Pohl Barn, you could even collaborate!!!!
@@AndyPhillipWoodturning You kept the best part.
Somehow you've created a masterpiece, then improved on it and then created an even better masterpiece by cutting it in half!!!! Simply genius!
My first thought was "AHHH DON'T CUT IT IN HALF!!" My second thought was "oooo two pieces for the price of one" 😅
Edit: third thought "ooooor make the other half fit and magnetically attach onto the metal core"
Yeah, that first cut was almost physically painful, but the end result is worth it.
You beat me to it. Thats what I was thinking
That sounds like an awesome idea!
I thought he was aiming for that too
I thought he would put the other half of it up on a 2nd piece and have it sitting next to each other, ya know? 😏🤨
1st color: Silly String
2nd color: cottage cheese
Center color: shredded coconut
All together: one cool project 😁
Where did you get the death star looking moon picture from
@@ChanceKearns it's saturn's moon called mimas
Wow! Love how you mixed the colors to look like real molten layers. Beautiful.

I was thinking the same thing. The metal ball in the center is a nice touch.
I noticed you have some nice stuff on your channel too! I especially like the Unicorn Egg.
Thank you! Cheers!

Absolutely stunning Andy your work shop is very clean and very very tidy no dust in there

Every new video makes me thinking about purchasing minimum complect of gear to start practicing more and more

Andy Phillip takes the incredible, looks at it an says “yeah, that needs improvement”
💯% awesome mate 👍👍
I loved the Globe but the Core is just amazing !! thanks for cheering me up for 12 minutes.
This guy seems also an expert in geology, for his globe is consistent well with the structure of the earth's interior spheres.

Yes but what if the earth is flat?

Well, Thanos snapped half of the world. Love the art and content, it's so satisfying!
Wonderful adventure with every turning .... Thank You Andy for the surprise you offer with each show...TM

Easily one of the prettiest things I've seen.
Absolutely fantastic!! Just when I thought the original was amazing... Boom! Stunning..
I actually said "Noooooo" when you cut it in half. But it turned out great! Very Very Nice

What a stroke of genius! Like everyone here I thought you had lost your mind. Amazing work of art! Thank you sir for sharing your masterpiece with us.
Incredible. Stunning.
Absolutely stunning. I mean damn. You keep raising that bar and it's a joy to watch!
That is awesome. Glad you left Australia there - but you cut my house out 🥴
😏
Wow what a nice project Andy. So realistic looking. Like the pictures in the Internet. Only in 3D. Awesome. Love from Germany.
when did you put in the black layer between the wood and the red? Was not there then it was. Great piece of work.
Epoxy gets pretty hot when hardening up Heat+Wood is charcoal wich is the colour black
I was wondering the same thing.
i hope you realise how relaxing this to watch. it’s so calming and beautiful
Amazing, are there plans to make the other side a kind of clasp to remove, revealing the inner mantle and the whopping great bearing?
I watch this video without thinking, and the more I watch it, the more I fall in love with it.
Very cool
That I think is the best yet on the creative front. Let alone the skill front. Again another awesome piece of work
my dude just erased Antarctica from exsistance
10:07 what?
North and South America. Antarctica is still there.
Thanos who? Lol love marvel jokes 😁
Thanks Andy. You my friend are a true Artist! Thanks Again, I really enjoy your videos.

It says on his Etsy page that he doesn’t. 😒 He has some lovely pieces on there anyway. 👍

Creativity meets high craftsmanship and give life to this new masterpiece! So satisfying to see the process, so inspiring to see the finished artwork.
I find that the core of earth made of steel!!
Another great one. Andy. You keep outdoing yourself. Stay safe and well. Bill
When he poured on that orange stuff it looked like an orange 🍊
It kinda does actually
The removal of the sacrificial block on the globe was spot on. Nicely blended.
Weird. I always thought the earth's core was inhabited by crab people
The metal ball is their spaceship.
The scientific illiteracy one finds on UA-cam. Lobster people, dude!
Look like crab, talk like people.
What are they teaching people nowadays, the Earth centre is of course hollow and full of dinosaurs and beautiful cave women.

lucky that core is not molten metal because it would lose its magnetic power

I'm torn at the creation of this beautiful work and the sacrifice of another beautiful work.
I wasn't happy with parts of the globe ..that's why I sacrificed it for this piece
