  • For this week's 75x75 installment, we hear from Qalipu Elder Calvin White, a dedicated advocate for Indigenous rights and recognition in Newfoundland and Labrador. For over 50 years, Calvin has been instrumental in organizing the Federation of Newfoundland Indians, founding the Bay St. George Mi'kmaq Cultural Revival Committee, and helping establish the Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation. Honoured with the Order of Canada, his work is marked by unwavering conviction and a deep commitment to preserving and celebrating Mi'kmaq identity.
