Ok, when I saw the title say "Dinosaur Skin" I didn't know what to expect. But holy cow I was not expecting it to look THAT much like actual scales. Absolutely stunning, a true work of art.
Most dinos didn't have scales, there skin was just bumpy like this
Right ? Looks like crocodile scales .
By far, one of the most amazing damascus patterns I have ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous!
You mean there's more than the Folding method?
Out of all the damascus patterns I've seen, this one is the best
I honestly think that every time I watch one of his videos
Have u seen the one out of the chainsaw chain? That’s my favorite so far!
Check the dolphins one
Парни, сколько смотрю ручную ковку, не устаю.
Вы все просто красавцы!
Ваши руки на выставке должны иметь слепок как на аллее звезд!
Пусть они радуют людей своими произведениями!
This is the coolest Damascus pattern ive ever seen.
I agree, seen many patterens. But this is very different. Nice blade too.
I liked your innovations.
Actually i would prefer a big titted redhead dressed only in a chainmail....
Have you seen his "Flowers on the Riverbank" from elevator cable? I couldn't breathe. Check it out. I have no idea how he ever came up with that one, but it's so beautiful it defies description.

Most beautiful damascus pattern i've seen till date..Hats off to u sir !!
Gaurav JM This one is merely interesting. If you want to see beautiful, check out some of the other "Damascus" (pattern welding) blades he's made. They're incredible. Honestly, they're pieces of art.
Example: ua-cam.com/video/GtgU4-4m7-E/v-deo.html
One thing I've always been impressed by is how well you set the forge welds and your processes. Your knowledge and awareness of when to handle the metal is incredible. IMO even other blade forging blacksmiths don't have the touch/knowing that you do. They do not see what you are able to see when working the metal. Maybe a handful of other blade smiths do.
I just got my mind blown away by this incredible piece of art!! Well done! It makes me want to be a blacksmith!! When I grow up I want to be just like you!!

This one is definitely my favorite. The scale pattern looks amazing.
"no reptiles were harmed in the making of this blade and video."
????
You mean, no tortuous shells were harmed lol
Love how you hammered the steel into a perfect blank. No cutting it out and wasting metal. NICE!
1st time i saw that skill!
Master craftsman!
He had to form it without cutting to keep the harder steel center piece in proportion to the damascus as is shown after etching.
Nothing like a nice relaxing cup of tea while making blades.
kinda heavy handed to use a blow torch for that though.
even relaxed me.
You see now if that television show forged in fire would get guys like you on the show , the show might actually be watchable because you are truly one of the top master’s of blade making a true artist
As someone who really enjoys watching the show, I feel like you may have gone into it with the wrong mindset? (again, only my opinion)
My take on the show was: it's *_not_* intended to be an "exhibit for the well-established" with massive amounts of experience and are *true* masters at blacksmithing; _but instead_ a show which that's a combination of: finding the "diamonds in the rough" by giving anyone that's willing, *regardless of experience* (within reason; *some* is required), a shot at getting their name out there - yes, arguably an "exhibit of their potential", I admit - AND am enjoyable challenge for those who perhaps _have_ been at it awhile.
After all, if they were solely to have people with *_this man's_* skill level, it'd have been tough to make it to Season 3! Not only because of the fact there are not that many people who would meet that criteria, many of them would live outside the US which complicates matters _(I don't think there's even been Canadian contestants, due to filming reasons and airfare)._
But also because (I figure) these talented folk are likely to either be burdened by backlogged work, or _might_ even feel this is beneath them in general. Either way, I suspect that the $10k prize _(before taxes!)_ just wouldn't be enticing enough compared to what they'd earn by spending that same time working instead...
Some of the new people to forging (ie:
I've watched about 20 of your videos, at this point, and every time I get to the end I think "THAT'S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLADE I'VE EVER SEEN", and then I watch the next video...and it happens all over again...this blade is amazing.
Дима дай Аллах тебе здоровья, долгих лет жизни, счастья и успехов в твоём ремесле, в кузнечном деле нечего лучше не видел, всем мира и добра, спасибо.
Раминь брат!

Your gift of blacksmithing is astounding. That is a beautiful pattern.
I would love to see him beat contestants on forged in fire.
Yea but they got 2 hours to make a blade and handle but for the one week challenge . Easy
@@dandingo5574 I think its 2 three hour rounds, but he wouldn't know parameters like everyone else. And he would have to make it to the 1 week finale. But I did think of he gets to it, it is light out.

I realize you're the expert and I'm just some dude on UA-cam, but watching you wipe the scale off your anvil bare handed scares the everliving shit out of me
Because of the size and properties of the anvil, one would think it'd take quite a bit of energy to heat it up. I'm sure the anvil wasn't very hot as he brushed his hand across it. I have no idea though, as I've never worked with metals in this manner before.
@@bassnbluegill1406 less fear of hot anvil, more about hot scale
