- Kronika sucks so much that I made a part 2 for her. And in Aftermath it somehow gets worse for her. That's a real achievement...I think? XD
This has been a crazy ride for me! Originally, this was suppose to be a 4 video series. But somehow I've made more then 10 now!! The MK11 SUCKS series has been a lot of fun and I hope you all enjoyed the finale. This is NOT the end of my MK stuff though. I'll be tuning out more exciting stuff in 2021 XD
WHY I WON'T BE DOING MORE MK11 SUCKS VIDEOS : I still get a lot requests on other characters that I haven't made a video on. But I mainly have 3 reasons why I won't do anymore. 1. I've pretty much covered them in my other SUCKS videos (Jade, Shao Kahn, Sindel, Raiden) For example, in my KK SUCKS video I not only talk about why KK sucks. I also mention Shao Kahn, Jade and Kitana. If I made another video about these characters. I'd pretty much just repeat the same things I said in my KK SUCKS video. 2. I don't really think they suck (Cetrion, Scorpion) Though these characters may have been weak or got defeated. I feel like I wouldn't have a lot to talk about. When I make a video, I like to get into more stuff about these characters. And not just "they got defeated so they suck". 3. Same opinion as Noob Saibot (Skarlet, Baraka, Kabal, Erron Black, Kollector) Basically I would make the same video I did for Noob Saibot. So if you wanna know my opinion on these characters, then just go watch my Noob Saibot SUCKS video. Hope this clarifies why I won't be making anymore MK11 SUCKS videos. But of course. Never say never, I could always think of something new and do that in the future. But for now. I won't be doing anymore MK11 SUCKS videos XD

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. She made an ingenious strategy decision. She allowed KK to be healed so he didn't have his wheelchair in the final fight, thus eliminating the biggest threat.

He is, in keeping with being chaotic, a cripple as he bashed his knees to bits with a hammer before arriving. This is how Twitter was unable to cancel him. I.e. Unbreakable throws in Mortal Kombat Deception/Armageddon.

Kronika's arrogance and insanity really does define her. Though the logic behind Mortal Kombat is subpar... Kronika's tale really is her pride, arrogance, and countless "infallible" efforts caused her downfall. She's not logical and not as brilliant as she makes herself out. But.. the video highlights her biggest flaw.. and that is her insanity. She tries to repeat the same cycle time and again and only finds herself failing once more.
Seriously, theoretically she has so many potential to be the most overpowered char in the entire mk franchise, but for some reason NRS just ruined her with stupid decisions. Before shao kan, sindel and shang face her, she could have just sent cetrion back in time to warn her past self...
@@matheusnunes1294 She IS the most overpowered character in the MK franchise(unless maybe the one being). She can stop time, Teleport anyone to anywhere whenever she likes, has an absolutely loyal servant that resurrects and gets stronger every time he dies. She is just too stupid and insane to use any of it. She needs to be for the dumb plot/plots to happen.
She starts a conflict that she doesn't need to get what she wants, lets Geras fight in one the few places where he can be "permanently" disabled ,lets the walking Lin Kuei control beacon fight in the frontlines and uses her powers to only gain small victories like when she captured Liu Kang. And to put the cherry on top, her goal essentially makes her a mom who wants to watch her children play for all eternity.
She is a terrible concept done incredibly poorly.

Kronika, the Titan of Time who has done this so many times she's lost count: I have literally no way of preventing my own death, if only I had some warning before it did but that would require time travel and that is impossible.

Ik this is a year ago but in mk9 I’m pretty sure it’s stated that past Raiden sent a vision to future Raiden. Idk if that can be considered a time power (now thinking about it, it kinda does in a way.)
Liu Kang was incompetent in his plan although the way it happened was smart (if there were various obstacles in his way where he couldn’t go back in time easily to do it himself.) I also don’t understand why Shang Tsung was the only other person who can get the crown from Kronika, I must’ve missed something.
Kronika’s whole plan was stupid, she didn’t even have to rewind time to get her crown back, especially if Shang Tsung wasn’t on his island as the events of mk11 were happening. She had Centrion to basically distract Raiden, and Geras for backup. Also Geras should be really hard to defeat since he always regenerates.
This whole plot could’ve worked given accurate obstacles being in the way that made sense to the story without it being brought up randomly. I also have a thing for future events to basically be teased in past video games so that there’s a huge buildup before the big shabam.
It seems like a suicide attempt 😴

The ONE issue I hope you'll point out:
Her entiiiiiiiiiire plan and the story of MK11..... is pointless.
If she dropped her crown off at Shang Tsung's well of souls, left it there, stayed low without ANYONE knowing of her plan/existance then get the crown back... she'd have won. No merger, nothing.
Maybe~ but then at the same time we wouldn't have a game. Some event has to trigger a story XD

If we're to go by Kronika's impressions, MK Titans are just stronger, more arrogant Elder Gods, but are dumb AF.

I wouldn't even call the Titans stronger than the Elder Gods. Cetrion, an Elder God, managed to kill off her fellow Elder Gods single-handedly (assuming Cetrion lied about the time merger erasing them in an intro with Scorpion), held back the entire time when fighting Jax or Jacqui while they were wearing Kronika's Crown and still had plenty of energy left after the fight, only lost to Fire God Liu Kang because she was under extreme stress, and wiped the floor with the heroes in Chapter 15 before Sindel and Nightwolf turned the tables. Kronika, meanwhile, got defeated and slain by Fire God Liu Kang while at full power due to wielding her crown, and, even after absorbing Cetrion to give herself a boost in power, was effortlessly defeated by Shang Tsung.
@Ryan M. Well to be fair you could argue that Shang Tsung was able to beat Kronika due to the fact that he also absorbed the souls of Shao Kahn, Sindel, Raiden and Fujin. Also it is not exactly clear how Cetrion overpowered the other Elder Gods for all we know she could have had help from Kronika herself.

Throughout the first and second free time events, she tried to get people to accept the reality of being stuck in Hope's Peak, even giving other additions such as not going out at all to discourage going out at night entirely. Her emphasis is on adapting, stating that survival is not about the smartest or strongest, but who can adapt to the situation.

Can we talk about the fact that she could just rewind her "beloved child" Shinnok back into his body but she just talks to him and leaves?
You know since shinok's body can still move i think it's safe to say he could have just had his head put back on and heal him up that way instead of you know, being enshrined in constant pain inside his temple

What makes the story absolutely piss poor in the MK games is that you NEVER play as the villains, Aftermath just doesn't count. It was a DLC where you NEEDED Shang Tsung to get to the end point.
It makes the enemies absolutely incompetent as shit. If they were always planning on a reset time game, kill the good guys. Why did Young Sonya need to be kidnapped? Why was EVERY villain kicked in so easily. Let us play as Skarlet kicking Jade and Kitanas ass for treating her like shit and "showing" her worth as a fighter.
Let us play as Cetrion, being an elder god and wiping the floor with the heroes asses and getting the crown for Kronika.
That’s also my biggest pet peeve but my pet peeve also goes further in that I hate how there’s even “good guys” in mk at all. They’re all extremely violent people neither of them should be considered “good” I would much rather a game with nuance

What I don't understand is how come Kronika didn't just retrieve the crown herself? She knows where it is, but she sends her jobbers to get it for her. Why? It's not like she is bound to stay near the hourglass because we have seen her leave it behind to converse with the protagonists on more than one occasion. Am I missing something?

Konsidering how little she cares about her allies, and reacts apathetically to the 'death' of Shao Kahn, both the past and present versions of Kano being put down, and Frost's brain getting fried (not that anyone would morn Frost after she turned her former allies into cyborgs), it's likely that Kronika has a tendency to send her allies (aside from Geras, who can't die unless Kronika is slain, and Cetrion, who is essential to Kronika's plan) on suicidal missions, both so she won't have to fulfil their deal (which often conflicts with the deals with her other allies) and so they won't attempt to usurp her. The jobbers she sent were Revenant Jade, Revenant Kabal, and Noob Saibot, who Kronika likely saw as pawns and/or threats, and she sends the present version of Jax there likely so he can prove his loyalty by fighting his past self and his daughter (he doesn't end up fighting the latter, but Fujin makes it klear that Kronika would've had him do so), and it isn't until after their defeat that Cetrion shows up, who effortlessly forces Jax to hand over the Crown (Chapter 9) and wiped the floor with the heroes in before Sindel and Nightwolf turned the tables (Chapter 15).
The biggest plothole was that Raiden had the crown and Kronika couldn’t reset time without the crown so he could’ve just sit on his ass since Kronika wanted to play defensive

Kronika sent demons to defend her keep but my question is:
Couldn't she just freeze time for the enemies, since she can do that she would be able to freeze every enemy except Shao Kahn (since most likely he's god) and Shang Tsung, that way she would have entire army (including herself) and enemy would only have 2 op characters (maybe 1) ....... they could literally kill them with ez (it would be Kronika, Cetrion, Revenants + entire army vs Shang Tsung and maybe Shao if he didn't froze in time)
as far as i can tell she could only freeze time on a low scale without the crown like 8 people yeah but not like 2000 of em
REALLY was hoping you'd cover the "entire plan is pointless" thought. Even though, yes, we need a story my point still stands that NOTHING she did beyond charging her crown was necessary at all.
If kronika did all this quietly, she would succeed because no one would know her plans.

Greatest Christmas gift of all time
After some years passed and I have a theory as to "why" Kronika wanted to reset history. It's not to get rid of Raiden or make the timeline 50/50 but to rid of free will so no more timeline gets ruined by free will. What if she lies to everyone that she wanted to reset time just to get rid of Raiden. Everyone else wanted to cooperate because they wanted to rid Raiden. She used their motive to get what she wanted. If she said she wanted to rid free will then no one in their right mind would want to help the bald lady who can change history. In one movie from DC, owl man wanted to destroy Earth One because he claimed that the world was destroyed because of humans and their free will. What if that's exactly what Kronika tries to do, get rid of the cancer of the universe. Think about it. The Titans at first wanted to rid free will but the elder gods say na, let the mortals live in free will. And because of that Raiden was able to mess up timelines so Kronika tries to manipulate Raiden's messages to himself "he must win" so that past Raiden doesn't figure out how to win against Shao Kahn. That he killed Liu Kang, and all the earth realmers died from Sindel. That way Raiden would have died and never came back. But because Raiden is an anomaly he manage to figure out his own message.
interesting point, kinda reminds me of Matrix and Architect who explains to Neo that he can,t get rid of him, that Chosen One is anomaly and system must be built around that fact.

Konsidering that it isn't until the final chapter, when all but three of his allies (Sonya, Johnny Cage, and Liu Kang) have died by that point, that he realizes how he can defeat Shao Kahn for good, you could say that he is pretty lost at what to do.

About that thing you told us about Thanos, he reminds me of my country's heroic character. The Song dynasty warriors were crowded but weak af, so he be like yeah, let's kick their asses. He won, giving way to his final victory in the home country. While Kronika just stands there most of the time and sends her pawns to wars. If she could burglar into Jax's home, why didn't she do that again to assassinate the cage family with her hidden blade? Just do sth in prior so that she can safely win then spawning helluva characters from the past and most of them betray her

Tbh I think that the reason why Kronika sent Centurion to get the crow is that she fears that her jobbers would betray her. For example, If noob Saibot gets the crow for her, nothing is guaranteed that he will not turn against her like in the arcade ending.
Perhaps.Kronika realize all of her allies cannot be trusted and will betray her when have chance.That why she send her daughter version who loyal to her to get the crown.Kronika with her crown was unbeatable by everyone on present except fire god liu kang.aftermath show what will happen if kronika doesn't have her crown which can lead to her betrayal and death by her allies like Shang tsung
Time travel ruins 90% of the stories its in.Writers Forget to restrict it and dumb stuff lie this hapopens over and over again.
This is why MK9 should have been a normal reboot or a alternate dimension.

A part of me thought you might like it because Quan Chi gets brutally murdered at the end. But it is pretty bad in my opinion too XD

Kronika should have brought more powerful warriors from the past. I would say Onaga but he would probably betray Kronika but since Kronika knew about Shang Tsung betrayal then she would have him be under some sort of mind control.

Kronika is supposed to be the Titan of time. As in all time. Everywhere. Ever. In a setting with at least 6 /planets/ (Oh, I mean "realms") worth of people, and yet even 6 whatevers is still trivial.
She's supposed to be screwing with /ALL TIME/, why doesn't she have an army made of literally tens of trillions of all beings throughout history!?
And that reminds me as to how full of herself Kronika is in general, though I suspect that's a bit due to the writing. She always talks about herself as this inevitable force, this tidal wave of certainty, her will coming to pass beyond quesiton...AND YET THE FUCKING PLOT IS "I'VE FUCKED UP SO MANY TIMES I'VE LOST COUNT BECUASE I'M LITERALLY /INCOMPETENT/ AT MY JOB."
One thing that always bothers me about aftermath is it seems like Liu Kang would obviously lose to Shang Tsung in the final battle...

I think the smartest Character in all of Mk11 is Erron Black because his younger self is on the bad guy side and his older self is on the good side (kind of ) so weather the good or the bad guys win he is still winning no matter what and that's why i think he never confronts himself because he knows he's winning anyway.
Kronika is the kind of person who thinks she is good at a game like like xcom even though she saves and reloads through every action she makes. you disable saving in ironman mode, she'll use the same tactics that have high rewards but a low chance of success, not that she'd know, and she'll fall apart
And I assume that Fire God Liu Kang is an anti-cheat mod that is immune to Kronika's reloading?

I feel like MK9 Shao Khan was smarter than Kronika. The only real stupid thing he did was attempt to merge Earthrealm but that was given because of his arrogance. Everything else he did was pretty good and allowed him to be on the winning side 90% of the time. A character like Kronika should be wise and well-tempered, performing some 200IQ moves like sending people back in time if she made a mistake or... you know... recalling what happened in all the previous timelines and plan accordingly. We got the complete opposite of that...
*MK9 Shao Kahn:* A dreaded tyrant that is highly intelligent despite his barbaric appearance. He has a planet-sized ego, but he has just enough rationality to keep him from acting too reckless.
*MK11 Shao Kahn:* A one-track minded rageaholic that few take seriously. His ego is so insurmountable that he rejects all criticism by blaming his allies (or former allies) for his shortcomings. Still more fearsome than Mortal Kombat: Annihilation's Shao Kahn.

The problem with having a literal time god is that they should know everything you can or could do. This is why most gods dont work. War gods feed off of conflict, the more you fight the more powerful they become. Time gods should be able to see all of time, thus knowing all possibilities.

I have a theory that might fill in some of the plot holes surrounding Kronika. In base game, she confronted Raiden after he figured out that she was behind the events that turned Liu Kang and Raiden against each other in different timelines. However, when Kronika told him that “they had this conversation so many times, she lost count”, I believe she was lying just to further intimidate Raiden. Also, as SonicHaXD pointed out in his previous videos, Kronika made numerous promises to her allies but some of them conflict with each other, like promising both Frost and Noob Saibot to be Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei in the New Era.
Another thing I’m curious about is the Hourglass and it’s origins. The wiki says Kronika is the one who controls and maintains it but there is no evidence of her being its creator. Also the fact that it wields more power than she does over time manipulation makes me wonder more about how she can easily be replaced by an equally powerful being, Liu Kang, as Keeper of Time. She also needs additional power such as her Crown and the Jinsei to fully use the Hourglass. She also makes the same mistakes in the Aftermath timeline.
All of this makes me believe that she is merely a deluded primordial who believes her power exceeds far beyond her actual position in the universe. She uses false promises and intimidation to cover up her weaknesses. She claims to be omnipotent but her power level is merely just slightly above an Elder God. Even someone weaker than her wielding the Crown of Souls against her would be a threat to her existence.

How is it fire god liu kang is present in the time creation realm,and at the same time,normal liu kang and revenant liu kang are present,I mean why dark raiden disappeared and good raiden remained so we have 1 raiden and about 3 liu kangs,why there isnt 1 liu kang(fire god)?
Fire God Liu Kang (or Aftermath's Raiden) doesn't disappear in Aftermath's timeline because, while he has Raiden's powers, he's still a separate being, and the other Liu Kangs don't end up becoming a god (though Aftermath's Raiden intended to make his Liu Kang into a god (why didn't he do that before setting sail to Kronika's Keep), but one broken leg later forced him to abandon that plan), so they didn't hinder Fire God Liu Kang's existence. Though, if Aftermath's past version of Liu Kang became a god, I'm not sure if that would erase the other Fire God (who's in a different timeline, mind you).
