Thanks so much buddy! Honestly, the zoom q2n-4k I use to do the videos is incredible at picking everything up - an amazing piece of kit. And I was taught from lesson 1 with my incredible drum teacher that it's the drummers responsibility to make the kit sound good - you gotta control the sound with balanced and nuanced dynamics across every limb.
Hahaha. It's the 21 inch Sabian Wobble Ride. Took them 15 years to perfect the alloy for maximum wobble. Joking aside, have you ever seen a Hammerax cymbal? They're like water... It's on the thin side of medium so wobbles a ton when really played in to, like in this solo.
Who needs to pay for a "sizzle" ride? Great take! Drilled holes in my ride and hung rivets for the sizzle sound, and they can be removed if you want a cleaner sound.
@@GeorgeHuttonDrums I used a cheap Sabian B8 ride that I got when I was 13. Used a punch to make a little starting point so the drill bit wouldn't wander like a dog humping a football, and then drilled through the cymbal into a block of wood clamped to a work bench. Probably not the best way to do it, but it worked and sounds the way I wanted it to. I'll have to post a video when I get my drums set up after moving them.
Definitely can feel intense emotions in this one. Excellent drumming, love it.
Thank you! Yeah, it's been an intense couple of days emotionally - it all came out. Thanks for the continued support buddy.
Mountain of emotions.. Perfect, man!! 😅
Yeah, it's been an intense couple of days in the emotions department... Thanks for the comment bro!

Thanks internet friend. Although, I have to say, your name is slightly misleading...

What is that crash and why is it so wobbly 😂😂

Thanks a lot! I'd be scared to drill a cymbal... Do you have to do anything special? Prep it? Or do you just get a drill and go for it?

Thanks man. Also, "like a dog humping a football" made me laugh.
Let me know if you ever get round to putting up a video please!
@@GeorgeHuttonDrums absolutely, I need a new rug to put my kit on, and cheap rugs are surprisingly hard to come by in the mountains!
