Even sadder when you mess up A FUCKING TRADE!
Joel Demetrius Johnson Please don't bring that up.
I love the part with the Butch Davis press conference where he talks about the things his players are “capable of doing” and then it goes right to the clip of a game and the announcer goes “loss of 3 on the play.” That was a nice little touch LOL 🤣🤣🤣😢😢😂😂
Tim Couch was not as bad as he got credit for. He got DESTROYED and still put out some good performances. If he would have went to almost anywhere else he probably would've had a pretty solid career.
T. Smith true, he was the right guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.
My dad has an old Tim Couch Jersey. I asked him if he still wore it. He said ‘no’ of course.............
I don't think they have a single bad quarterback. They take competent quarterbacks and then just fuck them.
fax
And the Browns fans had the balls to boo him? He took them to the playoffs! And despite what many people say about him, he’s probably the only good or decent quarterback in their revival area. The Browns offensive line was the problem. If Tim played for a real team, probably would’ve succeeded.
this story is very depressing but fucking hilarious at the same time
ECHICAGOBEARSDBZ they a joke
I’m a Steelers fan and this isn’t funny anymore. I still don’t feel bad when my guys beat them, but this is a living misery.
not over yet
definitely poor guy it's not his fault that his teammates were actual pieces of dogshit stinking up the field
Super bowl 1000000 browns vs lions browns win
Who’s here after the Browns First Playoff Win since 1994?
@ 2:16 I remember this like it happened yesterday. I feel sorry for this player and his family. His career was never the same after this
There needs to be a part 2, cause there is just so much more to tell now 😂😂😂😂😂
This video is going to need to be updated after 1-15 and 0-16 in the last two years.
Mike M. And holding onto josh Gordon after he clearly showed hes not going to change like manziel.and as the video shows dissapointing drsft picks.add manziel to that as well.
True. I am not a Browns fan at all, but my heart goes out to the fans. They suffer long and hard. I remember the days the Saints used to look hopeless like this...If there is a team I would love to see get some success, it's the Browns. You guys deserve better than this, you truly do.
The Texans were no different from the Browns in the 2000s but look at them now, there’s hope
Ranel Gallardo Lol no
@@ogreman-lll-957 dont u feel like a clown ?
I'm not a religious guy, but if there is a god, I'm pretty sure he hates the Browns.
Hugh Bukowski lol they are cursed
Hugh Bukowski these guys are a joke
There is a god and god knows there are more important things in life than a child's game
2017: The Browns go 0-16
"I'm so glad the Cleveland browns are back. We can now get 2free wins!". Savage Lmao!!
Well he was not wrong
I laughed so hard when I herd that
Not anymore.
Thank you so much for re-uploading this video. I've been looking for this video ever since it was first pulled off of UA-cam. Once again, thank you.
I wonder why it was pulled. It's a great video.
It was pulled because the channel this was originally on was terminated. Not for this video, though.
Salty Dog my phone says the video was a copy of a previously uploaded video for some reason.
It was actually pulled due to "NFL copyright" issues.. in other words, it made people at the Browns organization unhappy. This is the video's third stint on youtube.
There should be a sequel which covers the 2013 season and beyond.
Next 17 years
No sequel needed. It's been the same story since.
You could argue it's actually been worse.
That would probably win an Espy.
I would watch for the QB fax machine montage. They failed to get a QB that wasn't any good to begin with because of a fax machine issue. To me, that's the most Browns-y thing to happen to them in five years.
The LeCharles Bentley story is so sad.
Yeah, but I meant in general, having had his career end so abruptly one day into playing for his hometown team.
Wilson Martin Yeah that is actually really sad. Poor guy. Poor Browns.
For real man. 😵😞
Nope. It's karma. Go back and look at how he handled his free agency and you will see that he put out ridiculously selfish and dishonest vibes. And on the FIRST rep in training camp his career ended. Karma.
Shut the fuck up.
Jamir Miller tearing his Achilles Tendon literally impacted the Browns entire defense. He was the only player that had the ability to generate double digit sacks and be a legitimate disrupter consistently until Myles Garrett was drafted. Even though the Browns made the playoffs that year, with him they easily go 11-5. He would’ve had at least 13-15 sacks. Then Butch Davis the GM is inserted and makes questionable decisions again and again. Tim Couch was not that bad but man what could’ve been from at least 2002-2010 with competence in the front office. Hopefully this season it turns around.
John Collins will be played by Ben Affleck in the movie "The Browns: Maximum Suckitude".
What's really sad is that they are far worse with Haslam than they were with the Lerners' ownership.
Until now. They won a playoff game under the Haslams. Took long enough.
@@mach6893 I know it’s late but that’s inspite of his being through the organization. It’s really shameful how there was no cohesion in Cleveland really until the smartest man Andrew Berry took over. His move of DeShone Watson tho is his biggest stain to his record
unbelievable isn’t it
Time to update this:
December 29 2013: Rob Chudzinski was fired after only one 4-12 season.
January 23, 2014: Mike Pettine was hired as head coach.
February 11 2014: GM Mike Lombardi was fired and CEO Joe Banner resigns. Ray Farmer was selected as the new GM.
The Browns lost the five games of the 2014 season after a 7-4 start. Johnny Manziel was drafted with the 22nd overall pick in the draft but did not make his first career start until week 15, a 30-0 loss to the Cincinatti Bengals.
In the 2015 offseason, WR Josh Morgan was suspended the entire season for failing a drug test. Manziel entered a rehab facility. GM Ray Farmer was suspended for the first four games of the season for sending text messages to coaches during games.
The Browns finished the 2015 season with a 3-13 record and Pettine and Farmer were fired.
The Browns hired Hue Jackson as head coach and Sashi Brown was named GM. The Browns traded the 2nd overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles, who selected Carson Wentz.
The Browns finished 1-15, losing 14 consecutive games and defeating the Chargers after a missed last second field goal.
The Browns had the 1st pick in the 2017 draft and picked Myles Garrett, who did not make his debut until week 5. The Browns also had the 12th pick in the draft but traded it to the Houston Texans who drafted Deshaun Watson. Despite winning all four preseasons games, the Browns are currently 0-5 and did not hold a lead in the first four games.
I would also have the blockbuster trade of Trent Richardson to the Colts in there also
XxSlenderMotoxX_2 Oops, forgot about that. They used the pick they got from that trade on Manziel.
Update they are now 0-8
Josh Gordon*
confused/combined him with Quincy Morgan, also a Browns WR
2013: Another terrible year, fired Chud after one year.
2014: Hired Mike Petine as head coach, installed a new front office. Browns start off 7-4 with Hoyer at QB and in typical Browns fashion loose 5 straight to finish 7-9.
2015: Browns then regressed to 3-13, fire Petine and front office and rebuild once again. Manziel is realized as a drunk douche and is dumped
2016: Hue Jackson is hired and were a Chargers missed field goal of going perfect 0-16 and the team hired new front office staff AGAIN. Jesus it's rough being a Browns fan but maybe one day they might do something hopefully I'll be alive to see it??
ryan mccormack Ravens fan from Baltimore I really feel bad for y'all I hope y'all get it together one day lol but at least you can say you had a little hand in our super bowls yay?!
"one day?"
I thought the Browns would win at least five games this year. Hue is no head coach, man. You may finally get that perfect season.
and as of now your 0-7 i feel bad for u guys you have my prayers
mr206er 0-8 now damn 😐
This should definitely be updated now since the Browns just went 0-16
2013-2017 need to be added haha
Blue Skeptic I would in fact say its gotten worse lol.
Now you may need to add 2019
Someone needs to upload it lol
Do it!
You can tell whoever made this is someone from WKYC. Anyone know who it is? It's funny they would go out of their way to make this.
This needs an update
The thing about Bottlegate, which this video showed poorly, was that the Browns ran another play AFTER the questionable catch. Then the refs called for a replay review. This video seemed to show the Browns fans throwing bottles just for the refs calling for a replay, but that's not true.
Zach N Was bottlegate the day when the fans attacked with beer bottles following a game? Just wanted to confirm this.
Yeah. It starts in this video at 3:23. Although trash should never be thrown onto a field, I at least can understand the immense frustration in the crowd. The Browns ran another play after the questionable catch, then the refs call for a replay. Due to the bottles they ended the game with time left on the clock, all without an explanation
Zach N Okeedokee thanx for the info
Go Jags! But seriously that was a bullshit call.
Zach N the replay was called in before the snap. That play didn’t happen.
This needs to be remade through 2017 now, leading to the culminating 0-16 season.
Such a great documentary. The music selections are perfect, some of the best "stupid music" I've ever heard.
Any idea what 0:39 was?
21:53 has a catchy beat and still trying to figure out what’s the name of this song or was it randomly created
I liked you Tim Couch.......you would have been great in Pittsburgh.....and most other places.
The only team in the nfl without a winning season in the 2010s
Even the Redskins got two of them in that span.
Shit even my Raiders had ONE haha
@@meatymatmart Jags had one too :)
Steelers fans watch this video on their birthday’s 🎂 🥳
Tim Couch gets a raw deal. Period. As a steelers fan I really felt bad for him. Dude couldve been something.
They pretty much destroyed his confidence and wrecked his development from the start.
At least you get 2 free wins
I'm a Steelers fan, and I want the Browns to be a success. The taking of Winslow in the Draft over Roethlisberger was their biggest mistake.
Daniel Rause if they took Ben, he probably would be in a wheelchair right now.
No doubt that was a huge mistake but how many other HUGE MISTAKES have they made over the years in terms of drafting players I lost count
There's no reason why this can't be a winning franchise
Blame the team's owner.
Browns should sign me.
They drafted Baker so not far off.
2020 Browns: We're finally contender!
2021 Browns: No, also the Bengals made the SB despite a series sweep.
Insane thing is in hte 5 years since this documentary has been made things have only seemed to get darker... O.o
What you can take away from this video is that any player the Browns sign with some buzz or a hometown link will have a career-ending injury, contract a staph infection, and never play another down in the NFL just when things start looking good for them
It's funny that there were only 18 starting QBs in the end credits for this video. Ten years later, and that number has now doubled to a total of 36, with DTR and PJ Walker each starting one game so far this season (as of Week 6). 36 different guys started at QB in a span of just 25 seasons (and counting). Walker's name has gotta be dragging on the floor unless the person wearing the infamous QB jersey is 7+ feet tall lol
That franchise isn't going to go anywhere if it can't keep its personnel for more than a year or two. No team gets anywhere when the guys running it are always so afraid of making mistakes that they can't take risks.
I genuinely believe that Tim Couch got a raw deal in Cleveland. Not saying he would have been a Hall of Famer elsewhere, but he was doomed the second his name was announced on draft day.
KMC, I'm sorry but that's just plain and simple not true. If you Are actually a solid quarter back in this league you will do better than Tim couch did ni matter what team your on
i really wish he went to Philly instead of McNabb. I'm a Kentucky fan and a Eagles fan it would've been perfect
No that's not true, you need an offensive line. If you don't have an O - Line you can not do anything.
KMC True, Couch wasn't bad, he just got drafted by a sub-par club...
@@bobbygorbett536 I dunno about that. Talent is a raw material and in the right hands, it can be molded into something incredible. But it can also be marred and scuffed up beyond recall. Brett Farve has a bust in Canton, largely because he was shipped to Green Bay and guided by Mike Holmgren. If he stays in Atlanta, he's a footnote in the league's history - a guy whose first (and perhaps only) NFL pass is a pick 6. Couch had the unenviable task of being a rookie QB on an expansion club - something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
There is no way a team can be rebuilding since 1999. The simple truth: nobody wants to play for the Browns and here's why. The colors, the logo, the name of the franchise. The fact that they've sucked so bad for so long, it's also psychological.
hussein335 Totally agree on the psychological side. “Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.” - Vince Lombardi
“There’s one thing about quitters you have to guard against - they are contagious.” - Paul 'Bear' Bryant
The real browns to baltimore cowardly and tbh since 2002 they could of been a playoff team in 2014 and 2008 with hoyer and anderson
the colors are fine
Fortunately things are changing it seems.-raider fan
Browns lit my boyyyy
Who’s back here after Freddie Kitchens got fired?
These teams are lookin' stellar compared to Hue Jackson's 1-18 squad (and counting)
1-22
Ranting Philly Fan wt
Unless you face my chiefs
1-31
What a joke
2-32-1 now (much wow, such improvement xD)
Cannot believe the Giants hired Pat Shurmur after seeing this video.
Thanks for re-uploading this. Holy hell I feel bad for Cleveland fans, the Lerner years seem like a pleasant memory compared to the Haslem Garbage.
hgonz14 tbh I like the browns fans. There are no annoying bandwagon fans like the patriots.
Pepper steak fixed in a little bit different way
Dan P “I don’t know what you are talking about”
hgonz14 you'll get in trouble but I'll go to jail!
We need an updated version. Please, someone make it.
What is it with this franchise and staph infections?
Stew Watkins Maybe Cleveland does not have a Mr. Clean or a Mrs. Lysol. Maybe it's time the city did. Germs are probably the worst kind of thing to happen to the Browns besides the other teams in the NFL.
Smfh that some sad state of affairs
Staff infections too lol.
They got sued for it.
I've been hoping someone would post this again. But as I watch it four years later, every clip of every tragic and embarrassing incident, I'm realizing that we're worse off now more than ever!! If you're the creator, it would be amazing if you updated this!! It would run an hour!!!
The person produced this video must be a Steelers or Ravens fan! That Steelers fan said he was glad the Browns were back for two free wins was glorious 😂
The franchise that drafted Johnny Manziel but didn't draft Carson Wentz
Dave S.
It was for the best tho
Dave S. Or Teddy Bridgewater
Carson Wentz would’ve been a bust had he been in Cleveland’s system
Carson Wentz wouldn't be as highly regarded if he got drafted by the Browns. The Browns offensive line has always been abysmal. He would be rushed or sacked on every play. Even Dan Marino would suck if he played for the Browns.
P4T21CK K1NG what about tom brady
You gotta do another now about the Baker Mayfield era 🙂
16:21 That smug look on Randy Lerner’s face
God that just sits wrong with me idk why
THANK. YOU. FOR RE-UPLOADING THIS!
Can you imagine being drafted to the Browns? I don't even think I'd show up for the first game.
Quick Update to this video:
2013, Rob Chudzinski named head coach. Team goes 4-12
2014: Mike Pettine named head coach, Ray Farmer GM. Team drafts 2 major busts in the first round; Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert. Josh Gordon gets suspended for substance abuse.
Team goes 7-9.
2015: Sashi Brown and DePodesta named into front office. Team indefinitely suspends offensive line coach Andy Moeller. After starting 2-3 they lose 10 out of their last 11 games ending their season at 3-13. Mike Pettine is fired
2016: 1-15 record under new head coach Hue Jackson. Browns sign RGIII as QB who gets injured in regular season(again) and most likely puts an end to his career. Only win came vs chargers 20-17.
2017: Team starting 0-7. Still no franchise QB and it looks like Hue Jackson could lose his job by the end of this season.
0-8 now...and they were leading 13-12 at halftime, their first halftime lead this season.
Mike West Further update: 2017 browns go 0-16, keep Hue Jackson as HC
Update Browns kicker misses 4 Fucking field goals 💆🏻♂️
Thanks for re-uploading I've been looking for this for a while
The amazing part is that this disaster- drama stops in 2012. The years since have arguably been even worse for the Browns.
There NEEDS to be a part 2 of this from 2012 to now
Thank you for reuploading this, I have been trying to find this for months. It was used in a Five Thirty Eight article a while back. Thank you again, greatly appreciate it!
Tim Couch could have been something but His shit offensive line fucked him over
This is the video that supposedly gave birth to UrinatingTree as we know him.
The Manziel, Hue, and Baker eras need to be mentioned.
If the Browns were a funeral home, nobody would die
Ouch. 🧟♂️
Awesome video!!
This video needs to be updated. Starting from the Mike Pettine hiring and the Manziel hype in 2014 through the Hue Jackson years the 0-16 2017 season with the parade and then the john Dorsey GM hiring, Baker Mayfield Hue getting fired and the second half of the 2018 season where Greg Williams Freddie Kitchens and Baker go 5-3 to finish 7-8-1. Kitchens given the Head Coaching job. Finally concluding the video The 2018-19 offseason player acquisitions including the trade for Odell Beckham Jr.
In defense of the so called "bottlegate..."
They went back and reviewed a play after another play had been run. Unheard of. That's what set off the fans that day, and rightly so!
You need to redo this and add the following years. This is really good documentary.
Every Time I Think My Team Sucks and Things Couldn't Possibly Get Worse I Come Back Watch This Video.
ive been looking for this vid for so long
This should be reuploaded and updated after every brown season
Defo need a part 2!!!!
This is one of the best videos on the internet
Romeo crennel was right about one thing the browns a lot of the time both don’t hire the right guys but they also give up on guys and start over way too quickly
Every single person in a Cleveland Browns press conference looks terrified and they’re just dreading having to answer more embarrassing questions next week. This franchise is horribly cursed. This is an uncanny level of failure for the modern parity league.
John Harvey blame Art Modell...
Michael Stevens Stop. It's been 18 years. At some point it becomes the fault of the ineptitude of the front office, and not a move 18 years ago.
The human side of football coming out in Tim Couch you understand why he's emotional
It's hard to believe it now but the Cleveland Browns were once one of the NFL's most successful teams. They remain the only team to win an NFL title in their first season with the league (not counting the very first NFL season). They joined the league in 1950 when the NFL merged with the old All-American Football League in 1950 (which is also when the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore - now Indianapolis - Colts joined the NFL). In the short life of the AAFL, Cleveland won every single championship game. Sadly, they have since degenerated into perhaps the team with the worst record in the NFL. Their last championship was in 1964 (though Detroit and Philadelphia have longer championship droughts) and are one of only four current teams never to have played in a Super Bowl up to now. Hard to believe that Jim Brown once played for this team.
Look at New England pre-Robert Kraft, they we're the laughing stock of the NFL before Robert Kraft becoming the owner of the Patriots in 1994.
To be fair though, the patriots at least made it to the super bowl too bad it was against the 85 bears but the browns haven’t even done that.
Marie Pavlov I believe that you're referring to the Patriots after their 46-10 loss to the Bears in Super Bowl XX in which they practically never really recovered
It's good to know that things have turned around for the Browns since this video was made.
🤣
They kinda have since this decade
this is depressing but fucking hilarious all at the same time
Kellen Winslow still balled out in 07. That 10-6 browns team was actually pretty good
Who’s back after the Browns made the playoffs in 2020?!
is it just me or was couch just thrown to the wolves
Yes, I hate to hear that Couch was a bust. It took him a few seasons to learn the NFL game. By the time he understood the game, he was so beat up that he couldn't execute. That's because he was fed to the wolves in those early seasons.
I never understood why people say he was a bust, he took the Browns to the playoffs which is the same as winning a superbowl
Is it just me or was _________ just thrown to the wolves.
Couch
Try the lions and tigers and then the wolves with no help and he cared the browns for years I like Tim he played his heart out for Cleveland
Add the 0-16 season to next documentary
I like how every head coach and GM we’ve had has said “we need to rebuild our image”. They still do that today!
Cleveland Browns need a sequel.
Browns have a great legacy and perhaps the most devoted fans in the NFL. Who else fought in court to keep their team?
Paula McCabe "great legacy"
League championships (8)
AAFC Championships (4)
1946, 1947, 1948, 1949
NFL Championships (4)
1950, 1954, 1955, 1964
Paula McCabe I don't really think championships in a league that lasted 4 years are very prestigious.
Why not?
Watching this always lifts me up out of a bad mood
Wonderful video, I have huge empathy for your grief
11:10 is the most perfect thing I’ve seen about the Browns, with the music and the guy dancing
Does this film have a sequel? We've had a few bad seasons since this was made.
well done thanks
can you imagine a superbowl with browns vs. lions
Nope!!! LOL but people use to joke about the cubs vs the red sox in WS so anything is possible I guess.
i understand the lions, cuz of the curse of an hall and famer qb, but i dont understand how the browns are trash
Chill Out Art Modell allegedly said a prayer to make the next team in Cleveland suck for eternity
Only in a parallel dimension, bud. 🌌
And things would get even worse under Haslam's ownership including an 0-16 season and a 1-31 record in the last 2 years.
BROWNS WON A PLAYOFF GAME !!!!
Amazing video. I hope the author can update it with the last 5 years.
Give some credit: The Browns did go 9-7 in 2002 and made the playoffs...
Nick Jasper they also went 10-6 some time in the 2000s
They went 10-6 in 2007, but still failed to make the playoffs (they lost the AFC North to the Pittsburgh Steelers, whom they were 0-2 against that year, and they lost another tiebreaker to the Tennessee Titans).
11-5 now.
This needs to be updated!
Seriously, this franchise needs a complete restart from the ground-up. New colors, new coaches, new management, a new logo for God's sake, but keep the players to redevelop them. But holy shit, how has this franchise survived is beyond me.
Cryogenx37 they’ve been restarting since 1999
About a dozen times during this video, I thought "That's so Browns!"...
The current Deshaun Watson situation has Cleveland Browns disaster written all of it too....
"William Green was the best RB on the board"
In the 2nd round, Clinton Portis and Michael Westbrook are drafted.
