- I just changed the stock silencer on my motorcycle and installed a Hitchcocks silencer. And it has entirely changed my bike’s character- a slight increase in power and the sound is so very addictive!!
It is a genuine made in England accessory and comes in chrome and black, I got the chrome version. It is less than the half of the weight of the stock pipe.
It is very easy to install with just a few basic tools. Please note that the heat shield doesn’t come standard with the silencer, it has to be purchased separately- I highly recommend it for both safety and aesthetic purposes.

I’ve had my Hitchcocks pipe on for a year and I’m very pleased with it , I run mine with the baffle out but on slow over-runs it made a twittering sound ! I found it was due to the hole for fixing the baffle so I just refitted the small screw and nut.

I too went with the Hicthcocks peashooter exhaust with the long baffle and the fin tip.

@@1234fazermann Long baffle, I also have the short one and the long one for me is a little less thumpier and now with the fishtail tip its much quieter for Charlie Chihuahua in his crate on the back.

Hi man, lovely sound, direction, place & bike. Classic 500 chrome is my favourite, I've booked the new 350 reborn chrome bronze, wish 500 wasn't discontinued. I have a few questions if you would be kind enough:-
1) Did you remove the CatCon, if no, then why not?
2) Will the sound improve if I remove CatCon & use the stock silencer?
3) The other videos that I've seen on Hitchcock's, they removed the whole exhaust system - Silencer, catcon & bendpipe & replaced it with the HC's, why did you only replace the silencer?
4) Did you notice any changes in the performance & fuel efficiency?

1. I can't remove the cat-con due to environmental regulations here in the country, and never thought about doing so.Heard it will increase a little bit of power.
2. No, I am not 100% sure but I saw a youtube video where it says the sound would be a little "less controlled" (= louder) as exhaust gas would pass through the pipe without being "broken" down by the catcon. FYI - this Hitchcocks silencer does have a built-in baffle, but sounds better than the stock.
3. Hmm,...I didn't stumble into such video.Since I had no intentions remove the catcon, so I didn't had to remove the bendpipe...just the silencer.
4. Performance wise, yes; fuel efficiency - never mothered to check ;)
Feels more torquey with that powerful thump and that addictive note from the silencer. Also some awesome popcorns in between on downshifting ;)

BAFFLES: Did you look into fitting one of Hitchcocks baffles to your new silencer by any chance? OR
has any of your viewers fitted same silencer then added a baffle, which one worked best? Thanks

What I know is from June 2020, this particular model comes with a built-in “improved” internal mechanical baffle. Not sure if you are able to remove this and fit another baffle. I’m very satisfied with the sound at the moment so haven’t thought about it.
You silencer had no baffles, isn't it a post 2020 model(video is only 2 years old)?

Hello, is the hitchcoks silencer empty or does it have a system to reduce noise? The noise level of the sound compared to the original silencer is the same or louder?

Hi Ricardo. Thanks for your comment. The noise level is a bit louder than the stock pipe but the sound is so awesome. Very similar to the old bullets in the 80's. Hard to explain in words but trust me, if you decide to get one (if it is legal in your country), you would't regret :)
As for the baffle, Hitchcock says from 2020, the pipe doesn't come with a removable baffle but rather a built-in "complicated" mechanical baffle system - a good compromise for performance and sound. And they advise not to fit any additional baffle to it.

Do the electronics need to be remapped fitting this silencer
Hi Peter. No, just turn on the engine and let it idle for about 5-10min. The ECU will automatically remap whatever required. Very simple!

hitchcock is way too expensive and then junk... then you can go straight to the indian junk and you only pay a fraction...
Could you name the Indian ones? I think this looks familiar to short bottle. Btw Indian ones are no match when it comes to quality & finish of Hitchcock's. I'm from India.
