Walking out of St Mary's Hospital in west London with their son to cheers from well wishers, the Duchess said it was "a special time for any parent".
Prince William said they were "still working on a name".

I’ve met many thin women who have 10 times healthier hair than some “hefty” women. A lot depends on genetics.

She was a young, first time mother and had to leave hospital with her precious newborn to face the eyes of the world.
It doesn't matter how rich or privileged you are in life, those first few days after giving birth are a scary and vulnerable time for any new mother.
She smiled, nodded politely and answered questions, whilst all the time she wanted to take her baby to his own safe environment.

I like how William is not afraid of making jokes about himself and his looks! He seems quite laid-back and I feel like that has helped him with the pressure of being the heir of the heir.
Kate is a GODDESS! So strong and brave putting on that smile when she must have been so tired. A trooper she is.
I would hasten to add, possibly tired from pretending as I don't buy she ever had any children. I read she was born with Androgen insensitivity syndrome. Money, power secrecy, you can pull anything off , most of the time the poor peasants will buy it.
Awww she was probably nervous to come out with the baby first time. She looked tired but beautiful wow after giving both to a baby. I think she didn’t realized what she got herself into. I love her makeup and hair wow gorgeous.

I, for one, remember what it was like to have our first baby (also a boy), and we were SO excited! And nervous...and emotional...and blissfully happy. Now, that boy is eight years old and fills our lives with joy - I wish the same for them. :)

I remember when my husband and I had our first child, also a boy. It was one of the best times in my life. My boy turns 16 in September. I cannot imagine how difficult it must've been to have your baby the centre of the media. In the years following we were also blessed with 2 other children, both female. Now turning 13 and 12 in July and August.

What I love about Diana in photographs with PWilliam is how humbling & honourable Diana was with PWilliam knowing how she reared the future King. I saw this with the Queen when she was Princess Elizabeth with a young PCharles. Also with both PWilliam PCatherine & young PGeorge.

I know this is so old but I still had to comment on how wonderful William was, for taking the baby from Kate, realizing that she has been through hell all day and that she was exhausted. Even though he only weighed 8-1/2 pounds at that time, she had to be wiped out at that moment. The care that they show each other all of the time is so touching...they surely are a match made in Heaven!!
