      Hello, I am thinking of getting a leopard gecko, I have done lots of research and have lots of savings to get quality items for his habitat. However, my parents are divorced so I am at both houses for one week each. My dad is fine with feeding him well I am away, however, I worry that I won’t be able to spend enough time with him. I have been wondering if it would be possible to transport him from house to house, in his habitat or even have 2 habitats with one at each house. I am wondering what you think I can do, I really don’t want to stress him out by switching his habitat/ location, what do you think I can do to raise him as well as possible? And if I am away every other week will I not be able to form a bond with him? My dad lives 40 mins away from my mom so it is a long journey as well. Any help/ advice would be great, thanks!

      D K oh I feel you I have to switch from house to house to but my Leo seemed fine when I left him for a week and my mom fed him when he was younger and I have a pretty strong bond with him now so I think it would be fine just leaving it there but I had to transport him one week to my dads and he was really stressed the whole week so I think it would be better just leaving it away if someone is there to feed it

    My mom is terrified of geckos and said she would let me have one as long as she didn’t have to touch it...lol. Well a couple of months later after I saved up some money we went to a reptile store and they helped us buy a tank and the food and they were just wonderful! Well, they said they had one baby Crestie left so we asked if we could see it. My mom was the first one to hold it and she was lik: “omg Elena.... it’s sooo cuutteee! Let’s name it Stevie.” U WOT MATE??
    So apparently she loves them now. At least cresties.

    You can always double up on timers so that the first timer goes on for a minute and then the second timer turns on for a minute 30 seconds later
    That way the first timer will turn off earlier giving you less time than a minute

At max that mister sounds like a mini lawn mower or power generator.. Also maybe smart tech, I know people can program stuff for smart tech where things can be turned on via voice activated or set duration using a smart plug adapter. Not sure if it would work but would an interesting to experiment.

    Was just thinking maybe you can adjust the nozzles? Like turn the nozzle to adjust the spray like you would a garden hose?

      Yeah I think that changes the spray a little, but I quite liked the mist :)

    I mean, it only needs to run for a few seconds so the noise isn’t really a problem. But if it had to run long term it would be a problem

    I have a question for my leopard gecko. He has been fine except he has some skin stuck between his eyes and we cant get it out. I was thinking I could get a plastic bag box with moss and a hide sprayed with warm water so it would kind of be like a sauna to help get the skin loose off his feet and eyes. Do you think that would ok what do you think?

    • @leopardgeckotalk
      @leopardgeckotalk  4 роки тому

      Is this skin stuck in his eye or just between the two eyes. A damp cotton bud/q-tip may be able to help, gently rub the skin :)

    • @kaitlyn148
      @kaitlyn148 4 роки тому

      @@leopardgeckotalkits stuck in between the inside of his eye and they are closed shut. I tried using a q tip many times and i felt so bad doing it because he doesnt like it. He cant see a thing so it's kind of hard to feed him. I will try my best. Thanks for the tips though! 🙂 I will try my best.

    I have a very serious question that you may be able to answer. The exo terra mister (portable hand pump) uses a white lubricant that does get into the spray. I noticed it in my Geckos water. Do you know if it's non toxic? I tried to register on the exo terra site but website is down temporarily.

    How do you get the front opening tanks for your leopard gsckos and are they expensive??

    • @nightinggale6470
      @nightinggale6470 4 роки тому +1

      If you’re buying them brand new, they’re usually expensive. Various sites online sell PVC enclosures (such as zen habitats). Exo Terra is front opening and can be found at pet stores. You can sometimes find secondhand Exo Terras being sold on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for a much cheaper price

    Hi! I am getting a gecko in the next two weeks so I’m just checking on a couple stuff to make sure I’m ready, in your metabolic bone disease video you talked about calcium and D3 supplements and am I correct in buying the Arcadia Earth pro- A natural full spectrum minerals and vitamins powder for the days where I supplement D3? Don’t feel pressure to get back to me and I hope this comment makes sense 😅☺️
