Dont skip it. - Holding block reduces dmg taken from all directions by 70%, disables crit multipliers and prevents tone from locking on to u. LEGION: - Sensor array increases ur core duration from 12 to 18sec. Some general titan tips: - As long as u have a shield on ur titan u cant take crit dmg but u can take dmg from normal pilot weapons anywhere on the body where as usually u would only take dmg on crit spots or from explosives/AT equipment. - The more dashes u have, the longer cooldowns they have. - To maximise the effectiveness of electric smoke vs rodeoing pilots... Wait till a pilot tries to rodeo u, crouch, activate electric smoke and then move just a tiny bit in front of u and wait. Pilots jump off of titans from the back. Smoke covers mostly ur sides and back and so, by doing this u give the enemy pilot little to no opportunity to escape ur electric smoke on time.
Scorch tactic: Drop in without a shield and get into a group of the entire enemy team of titans, then do the most damage in the shortest amount of time (sheep herding), then corner them and nuke eject and you got an enemy TPK
If I'm being honest with myself, I can't tell if I'm sweating when I play scorch because he uses fire or because I need to utilize 90 percent of my brian power to get like 2 kills
Scorch mains’ thought process when fighting other titans: Ronin: Try blocking thermite weeb Tone: Lmao nice particle wall you’ve created a barbecue for yourself Northstar: Get down here bitch Legion: Low mobility = longer it takes to get out of thermite Ion: Your taser bombs tickle pikachu robot Monarch: Burn, BT knockoff Other scorches: *Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!*
As a scorch main i kinda have a love hate relationship with Northstar they are fragile but scorch is thick as hell and as a huge hitbox so its easy to hit scorch
As a scorch main, ive gotta agree, I love the boi and his ability to control everything given the chance. But by god a ronin whos constantly running away are so annoying to you, the thermite canon definitely does help especially if you preemptively shoot where they will be, but scorch is so much fun either way
I usually have a fine time fighting most titans except ronin northstar and monarch. Ion and tone usually can't deal enough damage before they turn into liquid, legion....need I say more? But ronin can stick and move pretty well on average, northstar is the bane of my thicc existence, and once monarch gets arc rounds, your flame shield is now a brief fireworks show, you feel 50 tons heavier than before thanks to energy siphon, and she's gonna turn you into cheese while you run after her like a fat guy chasing a buffet
When it comes to Scorch, and to a lesser extent Legion, you don't need a lot of skill with Northstar to be a nuisance. Hell, even for Ronin a good Northstar player can be hell to fight.
When i see a ronin near me and my friend (monarch and scorch main) i use energy syphon to slow the ronin down and the scorch uses a canister to prevent his escape while i deplete his shield and health
it's kinda funny how new players praise Ronin, while in titanfall 2 community we consider him as a walking hulk of tin can garbage, since most of the time he melts even before he gets his momentum.
@@fenixmartin854 yeah pretty much. But titanfall 2 is about fun and/or speed and ronin is fun because nothing g brings me more joy than slapping someone across the head with a sword then teleporting away

@@zachdew9gaming985 my general rule for ronin is this. If they spam sword, they're weebs and will be awful at the game. If they only use the sword to dash kill pilots and prefer the shotgun, they're big brain and possibly still a weeb but not guranteed.
I'm gonna be honest, I was sleeping on Scorch. I used to only main Tone and sometimes switch to Monarch or Ronin depending on if it was PvP or PvE, but Scorch has become my go to pick for claustrophobic maps.
Im still ok. For every hurtful occasion of getting danced around by Monarch on Relic, theres a sizzling session of pulling 2 Tones into a Wargames tight alley where I turn back and greet their face warmly till crispy then flip the table on another. Just dont call papa for Homestead bbq.
Scorch is the main threat to ION. Those sneaky big ass ninjas are always sneakin up with the scorch shield..and catching and tossin scorches lobs are always lame.
"Legion does have many options to deal with enemy titans." The only few advices he has are: - Shoot them harder - Shoot them from behind cover - Priortize targets. Whereas all other Titans recommend the use of different abilities in their quotes. Edit: I love Ion for her design, but I love Monarch for her abilities. And Legion, Ofcourse. Legions is best boy.
You have helped me a lot over the last two years Bricky. I lost my wife a couple years ago and your humor, your videos, your honest information is something helps me cope. Thank you good Sir and keep up the amazing work
Three of my favorite Titan moments... 1) I was in the map with that uphill canyon alone., because my team had been wiped and were respawning. The enemy team was moving in a group. I fired a tank overhead of my opponents, sent out a thermite streak, igniting it as they tried to back up. I got my core, combined with the perk of having the wave linger. Complete team-wipe. 2) We were in the map that looks like a science building with a street and a simulation room. My team was in trouble, screaming for help as they got cornered by this ocean bluff. I ran up as a pilot, cloaked, "Don't worry, boys..." Dropped my Scorch on an enemy titan, and jumped into the cockpit. "...Daddy's here!" 3) A friend and I gathered a team of Ronin, synchronized our drops around a Legion, and closed in from every angle. We sliced him apart while screaming, "Bring honor to us all! Turn him to sushi!" The Legion didn't know where to focus, and just started spinning in place with its gun going.
I got 3 titans with nuke eject on ronin with emergency phase And yes That gave me a new ronin Somehow i swapped to scorch mid flight abs called my papa right on 4th titan
@@jenbooob whenever I see Ronins as Tone, I always go on the offensive. It’s confused them quite often. Everybody gangsta till I shove my 40mm in your face
I find that Entangled Energy makes Ion incredibly more powerful just because you can quickly refill your energy or make the split function last even longer.
2 years old but fuck it. Anything other than vortex amp or free tripwires is a waste imo. The amount of damage you can get from a vortex amped shield can see you easily 1v3ing titans if yiu know what youre doing. The only time i wont take vortex amp is if the lobby has a lot of ions and scorches.
@@poh1126whenever I've wanted to test it out there's been an abundance of ions in the same match so it's tripwires for me lol at least they're always useful so i don't really feel pressured to swap lel
I am a tone main and I'm proud of it. I usually flank as him though rather than being on the frontline. A reinforced shield keeps me safe since I'm alone, but if they turn around to attack me the Northstar 3 miles away is going to have a field day.
Hey Bricky, Legion main here. A couple tips from what I saw with gameplay 1. PLEASE switch back and forth between close and long range modes. 2. Against most close range titans, such as ronin or scorch, use your electric smoke. It is suuuuper good if you dash out of it holding your shield up. 3. Use your heath pool to your advantage, close in the gap with your sheer amount of health. Tones and Northstars never looked so tasty!
Legion, like heavy in the other TF2, relies on being able to out-endure his opponents. Even with vortex shields, as long as you don't blindly fire into them the ion is gonna run out of energy eventually
the funniest thing i’m always surprised to think they never patched was that when you execute someone whilst having thermal shield up as scorch your left arm stays stiff like a board
I mean where would you put it? In the right hands a kraber can lock down the entire map and make you regret even trying to play the game, in the wrong hands a kraber is only slightly above a grunt in terms of lethality.
As a old-time Scorch main, I do have to agree. Most maps just don't work out for him, and that's where the real fun happens. Scorch can literally lock down small areas on his own, and nobody other than another Scorch can contest him, or the whole enemy team. I loved just hiding out in a little corner, waiting for a Monarch or a Ion to walk around the corner for them to be instantly melted, only for them to try the same thing again. Tip for those that are going against Scorches: Run. Distance is a Scorches enemy, and with enough distance, most of his kit just doesn't work. Ganking a Scorch is effective, just watch out for Flame Core or Da Nuke ejection. I'm not going down without a fight, and even if I lose I'll try and take one of you with me.
@@SwordWieldingDuck i suppose i should reword that. Every other titan has abilitites that are always good to use (other than scorch, but scorch is always the exception). None of ronins abilities actively hurt it in any situation other than the flaming exception or warping into someone, but even that can be sword blocked. Northstar on the other hand, has two abilities that can only be used in fringe scenarios, one of those being it's core ability, which for every other titan is a move you want to use as soon as possible to do big damage to score big points, but for northstar, you can't because it's a death sentence.
@@SwordWieldingDuck Scorch's Flame Core has a decent amount of range to it and doesn't keep it out in the open for very long. Hell it can tear through multiple titans very easily if used right. Ronin's Sword Core gives it so much more mobility that it can be used for both offense and defense to great effect, especially a good Ronin player using Highlander. Even if you're outnumbered the sword block is even more powerful and you can tank a LOT of shit. Northstar's Flight Core has it out in the open, and is pretty much screwed if more than one titan has their eye on you. You could argue that Ion has that same issue, but at the very least he's on the ground and not up in the air which opens you up to attacks from more sides on top of having a decent amount of health and not being too squishy. Also the laser core can TEAR through another titan whereas Flight core's damage isn't too great. I think that the point of a Titan's core should be to help turn the tide and all of the others accomplish this pretty decently except for Northstar. The fact that its core can actually put it in more danger is a pretty big drawback.
There’s one thing I strived to make the enemy teams realize when I started maining Northstar: _Don’t rush a Northstar._ They probably have a tether + Core present for you. And if they notice you WHILE you’re rushing, be prepared to lose a bar or more of health.
@@justabeholder4753 I see, monarch is the IMC’s attempt at remaking vanguard titans(BT). It is hinted at that they used at least one of BT’s chassis to reverse engineer the technology.
You see bricky, the tactic for tone partical walls is run very fast at them. Especially as legion or scorch. Works everytime very funny. Throws off their whole plan!
and legion Gun Shield can block a full rocket silo from tone very easily and still have some health left so you just charge them with it and blast them with your power shot and bam they are full panic mode, only problem is if they have another titan with them
As a proud scorch main, I was initially taken aback by seeing him placed so low. But after hearing your arguments, I think you actually described him perfectly. I guess I, like many other scorch mains, have learned how to maximize his effectiveness while minimizing his weaknesses, which just comes with time.
You have perfectly explained why I play Tone Tons of missles, big chunky cannon And yes ill admit, I love characters in games who force you to play their game even if temporarily I also played the campaign before MP, so Tone felt really unique compared to the other titans you got
Personally scorch works best a flank class. Try and place the traps in front of the enemies so they have to back up into your heat shield or walk throught your gas traps
Hey there, I'm just your local Monarch main here to provide some extra tips and knowledge Bricky didn't give! - Arc Rounds grants a buff to damage against shields- be that things like the overshield, Legion's Bulwark, Ion's Vortex Shield (yes, Monarch with Arc Rounds saps Ion's energy and turns her into a waking snack), and even Scorch's Flame Shield (but not Tone's Partical Wall in my experience). - The core upgrades regarding the Energy Siphon are mediocre at best and honestly pretty bad at worst. They can allow you to place more of a support role, but it's not really worth it when the support you give is less than that of a battery. Hell, you can't even heal your teammates, just give them shield. - Rearm is a great tool if you use the Turbo Engine as you basically get 4 dashes. - Overcore grants a 20% boost to EVERY CORE UPGRADE TIER, meaning you can get to Tier 3 a lot faster (roughly 35% faster in my experience) - Superious Chassis does not turn you into an Ogre-class Titan, because Superiour Chassis gives Monarch MORE HEALTH than an Ogre-class. If you want absolute HP dominance, go with that. - The XO-16 Accelerator combined with Arc Rounds gives Monarch the ability to absolutely shred other Titans like a more nimble Legion. - If you want to make the most out of Monarch, you'd want to run either Battery Thief to convert doomed Titans into food and more Core charge, or Survival of the Fittest if you enjoy being hyper-agressive and run the Emergency Battery boost. Thanks for listening to my tips on Monarch. These aren't necessarily optimal nor are they rules, they're just things I've learn't from my experience using Mama Monarch.
I bought and played TitanFall 2 for the first time almost exactly a year ago now. I played it a lot during the summer but now I randomly play it like once every other month. I play either tone or scorch, Both feel great to play. Constantly marking opponents with tone and spamming your rockets feels great and equipping that mod that allows scorch to be in his own flames and be hyper aggressive when cornering other titans.
Fun min-max tips for those who find this comment. Ronin's Arc slash can one-shot Tone walls Aiming down (and crouching I think) with vortex and flame shield on Ion/Scorch respectively can catch Ronin's Arc slash, nullifying any damage
Legion is the best “force multiplier” titan. I like to say he’s the best second titan to be in the fight. Legion shines with outputting sustained massive DPS when he catches someone unaware, out of position, or distracted. Legion doesn’t have much good matchups in a 1v1 but if there’s a 2v2 I’m betting my money on the duo with a legion among them. Being able to shoot through your allies, have nearly constant uptime, and cover your teammate’s moments of vulnerability are what makes him best.
I remember when I first picked up Ion and being rediculously unimpressed by her in almost every situation, but after mastering all her tools and how they intertwine I feel rediculously unstopable all the time. Also the free tripwire is amaizing to spam on cooldown because you'll always get a couple of random pilot kills each match lamo
When it comes to me choosing Ronin as my main, I just really thought a Titan with a broadsword was badass, but when I discovered that you can one-shot Tone shields, block 90% damage using sword block during your core, and use a well-timed phase dash to nullify rodeo damage, I was hooked on reaching the skill ceiling. I haven’t played Titanfall 2 for a while, but I know I’m well over G10 with Ronin
As a Scorch main, I was hurt to see my boy put at the bottom. However, I 110% agree that his power is only great depending on the map. Great video, keep it up Brick
Monarch makes me feel the best about myself to be honest. Even if I perform like dogshit and run like a bitch from engagements, I can still walk out with a fistful of Titan Assists god damnit.
As an Ion main, I always ask the Legion mains to just turn around. I use Votex Amplifier. If there's other enemy titans in the area with a Legion they're boned
I'm still waiting for bricky to do some kind of campaign series on the channel. Also, I love Northstar, but also I can't get past having literally no shield because the literal second I swap to Northstar every enemy pilot has equipped the archer and are behind my ass. Like there is probably a way to deal with it but I have yet to find it.
You know what I love about this game? I have seen a bunch of different tier lists for the titans and not a single one is the same. Some have Scorch as S tier, some put Northstar in dead last, some put Ronin as S tier. At the end of the day any titan can be super powerful and there is never truly a situation where skill can't overcome a bad match up with the exception of Scorch being nearly useless at long range while flame shield is an instant win button up close
I think it needs to be said that Scorch is the most interesting titan to play because it requires the most creativity to play. The thermite launcher can be used like a mortar, you can hit enemies over buildings, the thermite can rain down on enemies if you hit a structure, and is quite effective at clearing interiors. And his abilities all deal damage, no other Titan has that capability. The Thermal shield can be used for more than just offense and can remove Firestars if you get hit in the head. The canisters may reveal where you are, but you can use it to play mind games and force an enemy to retreat because that thing can do a lot of damage if you ignore it. Firewall isn't as threatening, but it can be used to throw an enemy off and sneak up on an enemy, but it is low enough to the ground that it can be used as a distraction and creating another thing your enemy needs to keep track of. Finally, flame core is an amazing core to have, but use it sparingly since it's effectiveness is reduced in tight corridors. Additionally you can combo flame core with the canisters to greatly increase your area of influence. Yes this Titan is difficult to play, but difficulty inspires creative thinking and no other Titan allows for that depth except for Scorch. The power to deny your enemy territory is a powerful tool that should not be underestimated and being able to hit your foe from long range like an artillery Titan is great for checking the area for enemies. And this is why I main Scorch, for the creativity.
Don't tell anyone this, but scorch can manually detonate satchels on his face by using shield. If you drop him out of sight, you can instantly doom or outright kill any titan under half health. You can also leave a stack of satchels behind a wall, and trigger it with the launcher when someone chases you
Me just starting playing this game again since it first came out " Woah Cool so many option for titans i can be anyone of them" My brain "Hmmm Shoot Shoot.. HAHA LEGION GO BRRRRR"
Ronin Tip: if you get rodeo'd try to time a phase dash with the battery pull it's tricky but when done right you'll take no damage but the pilot still gets a battery, and since a successful rodeo has the pilot jump backwards when they hop off, you can phase dash to negate the damage, dash backwards and melee so you'll cleave the pilot in half leaving you a free battery for the trouble of getting the timing down, I got the timing down in muscle memory and can do it about 90% of the time, all of a sudden one of the greatest concerns as a titan becomes a great boon.

As a northstar main all that’s going through my head is : “FEK U” then “noooooooo that’s not fair how did he get so close”
As a scorch main i kinda have a love hate relationship with Northstar they are fragile but scorch is thick as hell and as a huge hitbox so its easy to hit scorch
Back in the day Tone's splash damage would one shot pilots in a Radius of like 3 or 4 meters, now that was agrovating
As an Ion main, I gotta say, melting through titans with the laser core is easily one of the most satisfying things I have ever experienced. 😌
Or returning an entire charge of Legion rounds straight into his cockpit. I live for vortex shield.
As a scorch main, ive gotta agree, I love the boi and his ability to control everything given the chance. But by god a ronin whos constantly running away are so annoying to you, the thermite canon definitely does help especially if you preemptively shoot where they will be, but scorch is so much fun either way
I think the good Ronin players being annoying is usually balanced out by the bad ones being laughably ineffective lol.

"...Daddy's here!"
3) A friend and I gathered a team of Ronin, synchronized our drops around a Legion, and closed in from every angle. We sliced him apart while screaming, "Bring honor to us all! Turn him to sushi!" The Legion didn't know where to focus, and just started spinning in place with its gun going.

Hey Bricky, Legion main here. A couple tips from what I saw with gameplay
It’s time to make a 2023 tier list @bricky. Titanfall 2 is BACK BABY
the funniest thing i’m always surprised to think they never patched was that when you execute someone whilst having thermal shield up as scorch your left arm stays stiff like a board
I physically Pogged when I saw the notification
I like how the krabar is in its own tier.
I mean where would you put it? In the right hands a kraber can lock down the entire map and make you regret even trying to play the game, in the wrong hands a kraber is only slightly above a grunt in terms of lethality.
Certified Monarch main till the day I die
The thing about flight core is it's meant to be used in the rare situation another titan does get close, so you can make them not be close anymore.
which is the problem. other titans can use their abilities all the time to do whatever they want, but northstar has to be patient and not do as much.
@@Ed-1749 by "other" you mean just Ion and Ton? Because sure as hell Scorch and Ronin can't use whatever they want. Especially Scorch.
There’s one thing I strived to make the enemy teams realize when I started maining Northstar:
_Don’t rush a Northstar._
They probably have a tether + Core present for you. And if they notice you WHILE you’re rushing, be prepared to lose a bar or more of health.

- Overcore grants a 20% boost to EVERY CORE UPGRADE TIER, meaning you can get to Tier 3 a lot faster (roughly 35% faster in my experience)
- Superious Chassis does not turn you into an Ogre-class Titan, because Superiour Chassis gives Monarch MORE HEALTH than an Ogre-class.

Ronin's Arc slash can one-shot Tone walls
Aiming down (and crouching I think) with vortex and flame shield on Ion/Scorch respectively can catch Ronin's Arc slash, nullifying any damage

Tone tip, if you get rodeod without smoke, just stand next to the nearest solid object and fire three shots into it.
Not reading all that but I love the passion you're putting out there.
Don't tell anyone this, but scorch can manually detonate satchels on his face by using shield. If you drop him out of sight, you can instantly doom or outright kill any titan under half health. You can also leave a stack of satchels behind a wall, and trigger it with the launcher when someone chases you
Pulse in S tier... A true man of culture I see
Ion?
I love how the Kraber is it's own tier on top of S
It's actually illegal in many countries to pop off Ion's laser core without declaring "IMA CHARGIN MAH LAZOR"
I always loved tone; even more so when I realized the level of similarity between Tone and the Tau Broadside.
Man's forehead can reflect laser core. Cool guy. Love your videos.
Meanwhile, Scorch on frontier defense is S tier
Me just starting playing this game again since it first came out " Woah Cool so many option for titans i can be anyone of them"
My brain "Hmmm Shoot Shoot..
For Legion you have to equip the kit that lets you walk faster.
