So far, all of KOF XV's DLC has been stellar. Zero complaints about any of the character choices they made, it's an extremely rare "I love all these characters" across the board for me.
SNK knows how to do DLC well.
Is Yamazaki's knife gone? I never played 14 so I don't know if it was gone then.

@@ymb9shinzou743 It's most likely censorship, because this game is also available in China and Korea, but yh...it's pretty stupid. If Cody can use his knife in SFV then Yamazaki should be able to use his too.
Love how everyone in chat started losing their minds when they saw Yamazaki's moves, truly one of SNK's best characters.
So glad Yamazaki is no longer Yamasucky... He always was a great character in terms of design but SNK ALWAYS gimped him to hell and back options wise...
I’ve always loved Yamazaki and am so happy to see hip in the game. Now all I want is shen, he’s such a badass and, despite them both being notorious criminals in Shanghai, yamazaki and shen have never been in the same game together or even canonically met. Having yamazaki and shen on my team would make this one of my favorite fighting games of all time.
Guess they never played a KoF game then, because his moves were largely the same as XIV.

Still glad that these great characters are being introduced to a more casual western audience.
It is so surreal watching characters that I only know from playing KoF in my childhood and instantly recognizing them, their moves and mannerisms. Some things are just etched into your brain and unforgettable. Yamazaki's maniacal laugh and fits of insanity have stayed with me for nearly 2 decades man.
I love SNK's loyalty towards legacy characters...they don't chance them they just try to make them even cooler than they already were
The fact Rock and Geese have a fateful encounter OST is sick. I'm really excited to see the full version of Geese and Rock epic theme and their interaction with each other so I can learn more about their canon lore in KOF. Geese Yamazaki and Billy skillsets look dope. I like their climax but I think Geese has the best one out all of the two.

Wouldn't hold my breath on there being "new lore" considering that part has been lacking overall in XV and the developers have stated they don't plan to advance characters from different games further from their original source.
The interaction and small intro from the trailer was still at least nice and I hope we get ones for Yamazaki and team Orochi
@@kingdomcomesuperman3669 That's what I'm hoping too. Since he has a connection with the Orochi gang and the Fatal Fury characters like Terry and Mary since he's in a team with Geese and Billy
While I understand that the alternate costumes are more or less what they look like in XIV, I’m glad they were included for free.
Free if you bought the DLC pack or the Deluxe edition

I always loved Geese's Rashomon, when the 羅生門 appears in the background, you just feel the impact of the blow at that exact moment.
And the fact that the music stops
SNK is the goat at doing that Samsho is full of those moments. Hopefully they put out a sequel for that soon.

Is it just me, or does Geese have HUGE hands and a somewhat small head? O.o Also when picking them up off the ground in a combo: "POOR BASTARD!" I LOVE that. lol

I mean, yes. For readability reasons, you gotta have to have a big hand. But also it's the way her keeps his hands splayed open that hives it a bigger than it actually is feel to it.
Also he only looks like a small head because of the slick back hair. It's why Ramon looks like his head is small, but is mitigated by having his body so compressed.
I thought I was the only one who noticed! He can palm a watermelon with those things 😂

I told myself back when kof came out that I'd wait for team south town to come out so I can have my boys rock geese and yamazaki and now with them out ina few days and my copy of kof on its way I'm very excited for yamazaki always wanted to play him and now even more so thanks for showing them early dood!

Yamazaki end up being the best of the 3 characters. I love how much fun they make Yamazaki in this gam.
I think he reminds me more of bald guy from Bleach with the same weapon I think he is on team with Kenpachi where they all love to fight.

This DLC look fantastic, it’s seems like they have kept what ppl know of these characters from recent games and just played around with the animations and frames.
Can’t wait to try Southtown’s most infamous sons when this DLC goes live.

FUN TIP: That bridge is Billy Kane's original stage in Fatal Fury 1. It was a cross the way from Sound Beach (This stage, which belonged to Michael Max (The boxer in yellow on the Sound Beach stage) in Fatal Fury 1).
Ok this showcase may just get me to buy this game. These characters look fun as hell!! Thanks max for continuing to show me new games and new fanchises for us casuals that got into fighting games because of your content. Your the best!

@@FarticusSnottington what's broken about it? Is it just putting players of vastly different skill levels up against each other or is it connection issues?
@@crazyman2188 for me i have to wait for 20-30 mins for matches and always with the same guy
@@crazyman2188 it only applies to some ppl. I've have the game since launch and had no issues except one day last week. So I won't dismiss it but there's something wrong with it it seems. As for casuals, I think it's fine, I don't see casuals doing ranked mode and there's still story modes, ost unlockables, trial mode for each character.

I like the Power Geyser nod that Yamazaki has at the end of his full-power Lv. 3.
Hoping they put Geese in the boss mode. Would be a good way to put N.Geese as a costume

Nightmare Geese and his twelve damage combos definitely need to return.
Nightmare Geese is usually just his standard look so that's technically in, I'd love for the Young Geese take considering how infamous that boss fight is.

I miss yamazaki’s knife and they really got rid of his drill from his parry. I didn’t know geese lost his charge forward move. I’m guessing his rekkas replaced it

While this is absolutely the classic Geese voice, after hearing it so long I kinda miss his dialogue voice from T7, for what few lines he had Richard Epcar did a shockingly good impression.

Well... technically he was? A man named Ryuji Goda was the main antagonist of Yakuza 2/Kawami 2
In fact both seem similar in design

I'm excited for Billy, been a Billy player since 13 and though max doesn't show him off very well, I got the gist of it. Billy's always been about absurd juggles and canceling specials into specials at specific timing to do cool shit, he's less about normal hits.
All three of these characters look dope, and Billy's classic costume slight redesign is a big improvement over the "Overalls man" he used to be.
Turning Billy into a heavy metal rocker was the best choice they ever made for him.
Yamazaki's fan since 97 and I'm loving this version. But something I noticed on his coat is that SNK is perfecting clothes physics. Can't wait to see what they are going to do with Kim's pants.

In KOF 98 UM Geese got the fwd+LK into the otg grab as well, but is only visible when the enemy is on the ground.

I will be honest I more interested to try out Billy more Geese and Yamazaki. Those 2 are cool but I want to take the time to try out Billy more since I fine him to be more interesting , plus his super is pretty sick a huge step up from KOF 14 super.

There is alot of freedom with geese and team south town in general. Off the specials alone there are a variety of routes to take wich makes me very interested to play.

Geese can finally cancel his close D into command moves, he also has better light confirms, his qcbAB crumples now, he also has moon slasher, and EX moonslasher (Tekken 7 version which launches), a new extension from his wrecka, an EX version of his command grab, and his Rashomon. Geese got buffed to hell in XV. I wonder if he can still loop his jumping A into Shippuken like he could in XIV. He also looks really fun to play, he is definitely a combo character.
