We uses to go Seawick in St Oysth every year from in the 90s.
We would take our boys to Jaywick beach every year which use to be beautiful in the Summer,
and have some great memories from being there.
One year where even saw a couple getting married on the beach.
The last time we went was 2018 and couldn’t believe how the area had run down.
But the people have always been lovely. The council needs to do better to support these .

I saw a Jaywick documentary years ago, a lot of people struggling in life, it's got a lot of positive points to being there including location. I hope the guy who can't read and write gets that help he needs and is able to provide for his family.

I love Jaywick it really reminds me of growing up in a deprived area, but as the kid says he likes it. There is good community and people are helping each other, yes the area is heavily deprived but the at least the children are out playing in the buildings instead of being trapped indoors like most modern day kids. Life will be harder but when they get older and become adults im sure it be easier. Ah good vibes!
