    Jeff! Thanks for sharing all the knowledge.
    Working on launching my detailing brand soon, but my 9-5 is making it tough.
    Quick question: when you spray the wet coat product at the rinse stage, does it ever collect or contaminate your drying towel? If so, how do you ensure it keeps preforming?

      Not if you keep rinsing it until the water is completely clear again... it will start to look kind of milky looking at first when you first start spraying it... you have to keep spraying until that goes away completely.
      Also make sure to spray the panel with water right before applying, the panel should be dripping wet and cool to the touch.
      You can wash your micro fiber towel in the washer mashine with Rags to Riches (made for micro fiber towels) do not use regular laundry detergent in will clog the fibers... only was in cold water and hang dry, do not put in dryer

      It can be tough to get started while working a full time job, but try to book clients on your days off until you start getting enough consistent business to where you can make the jump over to detailing full time.

    Hey man i really appreciate your videos and it helps someone that is starting out like i am! I’m wondering if i should try door knocking for my initial customers or how would you recommend i get first paying customers?

      Hey Logan! Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate your support for the channel.
      In these days I find most people are most people are not that receptive to people knocking on their doors for anything. I don't want to say it's a complete waste of time, but there are definitely some more productive ways that will give you a better return on your time.
      1. Print up some high quality flyers through vista print with some type of special offer for new customers... like $25 off your first service, or free exterior detail when you book an interior detail... something of significant value. Then go to places that will have the type of customers you are looking for... high end gyms/fitness centers where the membership prices are expensive, Whole Foods grocery stores, expensive restaurants...etc flyer the cars in these types of places because they are going to be the types of people that can afford to spend the money on luxury services - like car detailing. You can flyer the whole parking lot, but try to focus on the higher end vehicles... especially the ones that look like they need a detail ;)
      2. Make sure your google business page is fully dialed in - list all your services with descriptions, high quality photos, fill in the about section...etc you can use mine for a reference if you like.
      3. This one is a little more work, but can be effective - go through autotrader magazine and find people that are selling their vehicles... you can write up a message and send it to multiple people. You tell them that you are a detailer and you offer a service that can help them sell their vehicle faster and they will most likely be able to charge a few hundred dollars more for the vehicle which covers the cost of the detail. When people are shopping for cars the cleaner and more presentable it looks the faster it sells and for more money.
      4. If your vehicle is not wrapped then you can print up some door magnets with your business info - like a business card that you stick on your vehicle and it becomes like a mobile billboard for you... leave it on everywhere you go. Vista print
      5. Offer to do friends & family cars for a discount and have them write you a 5 star review. The more 5 star reviews you have the higher you will rank on google. Detailed reviews with photos include keywords in the reviews like services you performed - interior detail, exterior detail, engine bay cleaning...etc google will pick up the keywords in your reviews. You need a minimum of 10 to rank.
      6. Post on social media daily FB & Instagram, Tik Tok...etc
      7. Go to any networking events in your area and talk to as many people as possible, give them your card.
      8. Once you start getting paying customer you want to try to get as many of them as possible on a monthly maintenance service program. I offer all of my monthly maintenance client 50% my express detail package so instead of it being $200 it's only $100, but instead of it taking 3 hours it will only take you an hour to 90 minutes. Having a couple dozen monthly maintenance clients will give you re-occuring revenue that you can count on every month that you can count on and keep you busy while you are adding new customers to your funnel.
      9. Try landing some small fleet accounts - go to businesses that have a few vehicles, and offer to detail their vehicles monthly or every other month.

      Just some ideas for you, but they only work if you take action on them ;)

      @@loganbelew4832 you’re welcome! You could still try the door knocking, but get the flyers printed up first so you have something to leave behind them because even if they are going to move forward it might not be right then and there on the spot. ;)

      Because Apple sells technology which grows exponentially, compare that to a service based business it will never scale the same.

      @@0togtr811the point of your question is why can’t mobile detailing be bigger than Apple. Being realistic, detailing is a service that can’t be mass produced, not only that it is a niche service. Sure you can create a big brand where most people trust you and make millions, but you will simply never surpass Apple which is currently at $3.4 trillion in market cap with a detailing business… unless Apple completely crashes.
