Im in South San Francisco CA. They did this at the Target I shop at. I can understand they need to do this ,HOWEVER, they need to have enough staff around to respond to the "bell" or customer request to have a cabinet opened for the product! I waited near 15 minute's and a employee never showed up, there were FOUR customers waiting. All I wanted was a $2.99 pac of face wipes. If Target is going to do this there better amp up staff, especially with holiday shopping starting.

If I go to a store that has everything locked up, I just turn around and walk out, and do my shopping somewhere else. I know I'll never get help unlocking the things I came there to buy, because of staffing shortages at most of theses stores. I waited 20 minutes one time and no one ever came to unlock the item for me.
I've never had a problem with getting things unlocked at Target or any store. If I want something I kindly ask one of the workers to unlock it. Perhaps you have to wait because the workers are busy with other customers. I know you think you're special and that the world must revolve around you but that's not how it is. Perhaps you should stop stealing things if you don't want them locked up.

I just watched a guy do a video regarding this and what he said was quite stupid ASF. He said that locking up these products are targeting the poor people and how it's not fair and that people need to be paid more. 👀👀👀 Absolutely absurd, it's not just poor people who steal so I honestly don't know where he got that notion. But imo this is a dumb idea and if I go into a store and something like this is happening then I'll just walk out and make sure to NEVER shop at that location again. I would let all my friends know as well not to shop there. It's one thing if these products are locked up and you call for assistance and a person comes within 1 to 3 minutes. But honestly that'll never happen and this idea will never work. Walmart does this with makeup and things like personal gel and I know I've called for assistance multiple times and literally had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to assist me, sometimes no one showed up, it honestly makes your mood go from pleasant to shiiiity and no one wants to feel that way when shopping for anything. Target better rethink this idea because it's pathetic.
