As a customer and fan I was expecting something like this from your team. As with all your other video productions, will you be doing any testing of it? My only concern is the malleable/stretch properties in tandem with the loop materials allowing the outer belt to sag or bounce. Thanks!

I'll bet this is great for fat cops who don't ever train and sit in their car all day. Prevents that terrible chaffing and digging into excess bloat over the belt. I think this is very cool and want to try one myself actually.

I’m not buying it. It doesn’t matter how much air pockets you have on an inner belt when it’s just sandwiched between at least two layers of clothing on one side, and your loaded Duty belt on the other. Seems like a glorified pad.
Ordinarily that would be true, as we think of ‘breathability’ in terms of airflow ‘through’ a fabric, i.e. between interior and exterior. IceVents, however, are a 3D grid of honeycomb cells that have perforations between the cells. This allows airflow not only between interior and exterior, but also ‘across’ the grid so that the belt breathes perpendicular to the other layers. Foam pads don’t do this, and instead act as insulation (which is why we use foams for that exact purpose).
Technical jargon aside, we wouldn’t invest the time and resources to bring this belt to you guys if it wasn’t any better than the existing options. We’re not a fashion brand that can succeed simply by slapping our name on a generic product and selling it at a premium. Quite frankly, that kind of business wouldn’t get any of us out of bed in the morning.
