Finally someone showing the motor out! Thank you! Used mine once and the bearings sounds terrible so it's going back to the store! If you cut off the heat shrink there should be connectors you can unplug and maybe help pull the wires a little more threw the shaft to access more for the motor.

I’m seeing this video about 1 year after you posted it, but my string trimmer (a 1520S) is sitting in pieces parts just like yours was. I own four pieces of EGO equipment and I will never buy another. What anti-consumer cheap garbage this stuff is!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for validating my horrible experience trying to repair my trimmer today! Best

@@marknixon8366 I give honest reviews, these trimmers are durable but they are ahead of there time most parts were made during or before covid so the Moffats in them are cheap garbage that overheat and blow out. Plus they have just about the worst customer service when it comes to warranty and that really is my biggest complaint with Ego. They make good stuff but they need help in the in the warranty and service departments.

Looks like a lot of room for error inside one of those weed wackers

Yeah the black looks cool but for electric lawn equipment sitting in the sun black is a bad color because ot absorbs heat and that mix of electrical heat and solar heat build up causes flux to melt leaving room for electric malfunction
