Levy increases my heart rate by a 100 percent. Alex brings it down to just the right level. I love everything you post and not only because of your suave voice...
Nice concept to show the positional idea of the Caro-Kann, instead of playing the best moves after opponent mystakes. I feel confident with my Caro, but still learned a lot from lower rated games.
@@davidemirante9405The Problem is that at lower elo most opponents collapse in the first 15 moves or make serious inacurracies which makes it hard to even see said ideas
@@zweigooglenutzer6098 Hence why he doesn't take early blundered pawns and pieces. I mean, I am above 1700 and still find these videos a nice review of the main early / middle game ideas of the carokann. Of course if you are around 2000 this may be unideal, but I wouldn't really look at these videos expecting much enlightnement anyway, hehe.
You are a phenomenal instructor and your teaching style is outstanding .. I almost watched all your videos. You should be getting much more subscribers than many of those streamers out there. one issue that I noticed is the irregularity of the ratings of opponents. Most of watchers including myself, would prefer one account to climb rating and see how players from all range of ratings reply to Caro-kaan and Jobava london. I would suggest to make new speedrun rather than sharing various videos where we lose track of the opponents ranges. Keep up the good work and thanks

Id really love it if you went back to naming the sections by the variation like "Game 2 - Advance Variation". Makes it much easier to revisit later for specific reviews
I've seen capybaras mentioned on the channel quite a bit and its been getting me curious. Is there lore here? is it like a channel mascot or something?
I always forget that after the early Bb5+ in the advance you need to lock in your white squared bishop. It doesn't come up often in my games but hopefully this time the memory will stick!
I love the Caro Kann. The 1...a6 Caro Kann is good too but not as strong. Game was great, as usual...missed a fork at the end but got a quick mate instead!
I know the greatest editor with all tha accolades. Graduate of Carnegie Melon in Pittsburgh with a masters in Linguistics. Professional editor. Doctoral degree from Loyola Marymount in the same. I dont know if she has ever edited a chess book.
I often get the advanced variation when I play the Caro Kann. White sometimes goes after my light sq bishop by playing Nh4. I pull my B back to g6, white takes and I retake with my rook pawn. This variation is coming up more often than it used to. I seem to never have the ability to utilize that open rook file even if white castles there. Any suggestions?
Why do we never see the two knights variation? I find it very hard to play against as a Carro player, but barely any videos about it for black? Plz cover it
Hey Alex, I love your videos and was wondering if you could ever record a session in where you add consecutive games and for white you play the Jobava London and black Caro-Kann. Does that makes sense?
I am going through your Caro chessable course. Do you recommend starting with the priority lines first? or muster through all the lines in order? Thanks! I really love your content!
mi compadre !! Alex - change the channel.. Alex - what's the weather tomorrow?? Alex - show my the JOBAVA !! ALEX !! -- Oh , it's Alexa !! sorry, never mind 😅
Hey, I love your simplified Caro course and I plan on getting the Jobova course. Is it going to be exactly Jobova or more of a d4 course? I try to force the Jobova against many lines and it often transposes. Will it have d4 e6 lines for example?
I’m going to be honest Alex, I’ve been playing the Sicilian over the past few weeks since I’ve been feeling aggressive lately But it’s time to switch back Edit: Do you have a mnemonic or simple ruleset for early Bishop checks? When is it best to block with the Knight?
Thanks for the videos, you really help me as I play caro-kann and london only, and was able to increase my elo from 1000 to 1400 in two months, but I have a question, when I play the London, I always push the c pawn to c4 before placing the knight on c3, I want to know if this is a good thing to do or playing jobava london is better?
Hi Alex, any videos or thoughts regarding the Alien/Martian gambit by Witty alien? He seems to completely refute the Caro Kann even at higher elo. Would love to see a colab with you two. Also, love your videos. Helped me get from 600 to 1400 elo in a year.

bro we need higher elo again
You can apply most ideas at all "non-professional" elos

Channel mascot is a good description I think.
In Brazil capybaras are weak players. (Capivara). Patzer in english.
It's because Capybaras are almost as chilled as Alex Banzea when he plays the Caro Kann.
"Eww, brother! Brother eww!" Lol. That's just hilarious.
I watched his caro kann and jobave london system and applied the basics i jumped 200 elo 600 to 800 thank man

Alex I know u play Jabova or 150 attack with white... with black u play caro kann against e4, against d4 or rest, do you only play kings indian? ..
