I had a young friend from Queens of New York and I introduce him about Frisco/Plano. He told his relatives and they all moved to either Frisco or Plano.

Housing prices are a big problem everywhere. How I wish could live there.😢

I agree. Things are insanely crowded, auto insurance was INSANE compared to other more expensive states because of the influx of people that the insurance is accounting for, it is crowded, housing prices are up, and it's really hard to meet people from Texas. You will meet tons of implants. I have been here 2 years and I know 2 people who are actually from Texas but I have met tons of people from New Jersey, New York, California, Wisconsin, Florida etc. You name it. The crazy part is that it really feels like a transient area that is not a hometown feel. It feels very competitive and techy like Silicon and Seattle. Tons of Indians here. Not to mention, the influx of people makes a nice and newly built area full of crime and homelessness. This place will be another Austin, I give it 6-8 years and it will be trashed. A new HEB opens and old women are getting mugged in broad daylight at a NEW H-E-B. I would say just don't come to DFW because I have a friend who lives in Pilot Point (look up where that is, it's way above Frisco area), she just got a notice in the mail stating that their area is going to be slotted for 300K people. They want to build out from a population of 4k to 300k and it's going to be crazy.

Actually, if you live in east ( especially northeast part of Frisco around Eldorado Parkway and east of Legacy drive ), the hail storm case is much less or normal. Maybe because more hail storms near future Grand park area ( The northwest part and southwest park of the future grand park.) There were a couple houses roof damaged by hails a couple of times around this area.
As far as I know, if houses are closer to empty land, there is less resistance to hails. After Grand park finish with more trees etc., this situation may be improved. I have couple of friends living in northeast part of Frisco, even State Farm home insurance is reasonable.

It's expensive to live here because of all the drifters moving here. I meet so many people who don't have family moving here and then move back because its too expensive to live here. You can't get an apartment unless you make 3x the rent, property taxes are 11k. Mortgage rate is like 5k a month and you have to make 3x the mortgage rate to qualify. If you listen to this person and you don't make enough, you will lose thousands of dollars quickly. The jobs out here don't pay enough to make a living. So be smart and don't move to Texas. 10 years ago it was fine to move here, now its to late. I am trying to help people from making a big financial mistake. 💯
