Hi Juva. Once again thanks for a very informative and helpful video. With regards to your practise and preperation for the TOEFL reading, what did you use and in what degree? The Offical Toefl guide practise tests, there are 4 reading practise tests, did you use several toefl offical guides? Also - do you remember how similar the offical TOEF reading test was compared to the ones in the offical toefl guide reading part? Is it also 3 reading passages, same amount of questions and same time frame? Kind regards from Denmark!
Hi Dennis, you're so welcome! I'm so glad the video is helpful to you. I used the practise tests. Honestly, I was shocked when I did the reading section in the TOEFL. Second, knowing the question types is very important because this will save you a lot of time and you will know what you are looking for. I'd recommend practicing with the free ETS practice tests, especially in order to get to know the question types. Hope this helps :).
Hello! During the exam, When you are reading a question, the part of the passage that the question is referring to, is besides ? Or you have to scroll up/down to look up the exact part ?
Hello Paula! You have to search for the relevant passage yourself, this means that sometimes you need to scroll to find it.
Hi i love your advises about the TOEFL test and i would like to have templates of the four sections
Hi, I'm so glad you like them! Have a look at my playlist called "TOEFL Templates", you will find templates for Writing and Speaking there. For Reading and Listening you don't need templates. Hope this helps :)
Its maybe a strange question but do we have to save our answers at the end of each part before that the time is over or it saves automatically ?
That's an excellent question! There is no save button, so you don't have to save anything.
@@juva thank you !
@@geraldinecoquillat2761 You're very welcome!
Got mine in an hour, so nervous!
My unofficial scores for reading and listening ended up being 28 for both! Very happy. The speaking section went pretty meh sadly, but writing went great. Thanks for your videos! They helped me immensely.
Congratulations! These are amazing scores, you can be so proud of yourself! I'm so glad I could help :)
@@juva Just got my scores: R28 L28 S29 W29 (114). Totally did not expect to get this high!
@@AK-zz9ok Congratulations! That’s awesome! I'd love to ask you a few questions about your experience. If you are interested in that, please drop me an email at contacting.juva@gmail.com . I'd love to hear from you :)
Hi,juva could you tell me,how to skip the passage? I had been dilima
Hi Dorjee, what you need to do is reading the passage roughly without trying to extract every detail. In other words, your eyes should fly over the passage. Hope this helps!
@@juva i appreciate you.
how do you know whast relevant and irrelevant in the passage, Juva?
That's an excellent question! After you have skimmed the passage, have a look at the questions and look for the answer in the passage. These are the relevant points. Hope this helps :).
@@juva thanks
Juva hello. 2 months ago, I took toefl test and my reading score was 25. How can I improve my score to 27 or 28.
Hi Cihad, first of all congratulations! A reading score of 25 is amazing, you can be really proud of yourself. I'd recommend figuring out where your weaknesses are. Then practice these questions to make sure that you can cope with them. It should be easy for you to improve your score, since you already got a very high score.
The texts were much longer and more complex. But don't worry! If you do well in the practise tests, you will also be able to manage TOEFL Reading. Apart from that the real test is totally similar. However, you may get a fourth so-called 'experimental' passage in the real test. They sometimes do that to test new things for future tests. Hope this helps :) Lots of greetings to you!
Hi Juva, I just found your videos and are really useful for me, thank you so much. However I have a concern and I would like you help me, please...
I don't why, but always in the last question that is about choose 3 answers as a resume of the passage. I normally have 2/3 correct answers, I mean I usually fail 1 question, so my doubt is, if I aswer 2/3, will I get at least 1 point or 0? , because normally the answer is scored with 2 points.
I hope you answer. Thank you!
Hi Maca, I'm so glad the videos are helpful to you. If you choose 2 correct answers, you will get 1 point. Have a look at my TOEFL Reading playlist, there is a video where I explain how to solve summary questions, hope this helps :).
Would u mind if you coukd share with us your toefl score.
My TOEFL score is 115 :)
Hey juva how much practice do we need for toefl? I mean 6 hours a day is enough or how much you put your time on teofl.
@@asy858 Hey :) This depends on your current level of English, the amount of time you have, and the score you need. However, 6 hours a day is already a lot. It may be hard to concentrate if you study more.
Tomorrow is my exam, and I'm scared about the time :(
I just did mine today and didn’t pas the reading part. It was brutal.
Don't worry, you'll be fine! Being nervous is totally normal, and the TOEFL is a race and it's really difficult to cope with that. But always remember that you can do this! I wish you all the best for your TOEFL!
I'm so sorry to hear that! The reading part is really hard because the texts are so long and complex and there is not much time. So, don't be too hard on yourself!
@@Emotional.Gangsta are you a native speaker ?
@@Emotional.Gangsta how much did you get?
Hi please I took my toefl ibt test yesterday and didn’t do well😩 Please do you have study materials that you suggest or free and affordable courses that you know I would love to take them.
Hi Nuseyba! Don't be too hard on yourself, the reading section is really difficult. However, you can quickly improve your reading score if you have the right strategy. The first thing you need to do is reading it in the right order. As I say in the video:
1. Skim the passage
2. Read the question
3. Go back to the relevant part of the passage and read it in detail
Further, it is important that you know the question types. If you like, have a look at this video where I give tips how to boost your reading score: ua-cam.com/video/tvMFC9pCAS8/v-deo.html
Hope this helps :)

Hi Jose, I'm so glad you like them ! I noted your wish :)
Hi! Juva, I have a question, The reading and listening section score displayed as an unofficial score on the day of the test, is the exact score that you get in those sections?
Hi Karen, the unofficial scores can change but don't have to. I got exactly the same scores in the end.
Thank you so much for your videos, I have taken this test twice but not having the results Where I can practice reading? Than you so much
You're so welcome Debora! If you like have a look at my playlist called "TOEFL Reading". The videos there are mainly about Reading strategy. I'd also recommend taking the ETS practice test if you have not already done so. Hope this helps :)
