They were sitting on the opposite side of the street and there were two on a big scooter meant to go faster than usual and this guy knew they could be out looking for bikes. The one on the back takes the keys so the guy can't drive off and the one on the fronts spins around and takes the keys from them while they occupy the rider, they then sneak up behind and steal the bike and leave the scooter for the distraction guy. The bikers focus is on the guy on his feet as he could be a danger and they lure them away from the bike as the other steals, starts, and drives off with his new toy and then the distraction will attack you to get to their scooter and drive off with their friend. Anyway, he seen two people on a scooter which is a bad sign for bikers, and avoided them on his side of the street. They made a U-turn and followed him down the same street to park next to him at a light so they could do their thing. He lost focus and forgot about them for a second in which he didn't notice they were following him to the light in the same lane. When he stops at the red light they make sure to pull up next to him. One eyeballs his camera knowing that their plan might not work, the passenger eye balls the ignition of the bike to know where the keys are and gets ready to pull them out. He is street smart and knows what they are up to and so he stares back at them with a tinted visor to get them on camera as best as he could, and then proceeds to back up his bike to give a clean exit and space apart so they can't reach the keys. He also looks for a plate in which they had none which was a clear sign what they were doing. They then realize they picked the wrong guy and sped through a red light almost hitting pedestrians. You seem like the kind of person that would feed these criminal scum because of your lack of attention and street smarts. They WERE without a doubt in the world going to attempt to steal his bike, even in front of people because they know that police and bystanders won't do much unless someone is armed or has balls bigger than them. Plus they have a helmet so you can't really do much damage in the first place. The most anyone could do is stick around as a witness and to possible break laws and put people in danger to chase the theives until they crash or give up.
I never feel safe in this world due to how many wander the streets like bloodthirsty wolves ready to strike on anyone they decide to hurt. I've often just been walking down the street and gangs of about TEN set at me with fists and feet with such ferocity in their eyes foaming at the mouth. So much anger, so much hatred
the front guy on the scooter saw the GO PRO camera.. then he turned slowly his head back and thinking shit recording... the guy behind was waiting for a sign to hop off but the driver changed his mind and went off...
Looool trust me josh , literally because they heard sirens then saw the van they left cos they thought he was rolling back to tell the feds there right there
Still the smartest option because either you can talk to the police car you are following or you can find another one on the way - But following that police car you have an excuse for going faster which will increasing the chance of finding another police vehicle.
10 minutes later eventually found a police car Pointless that bike long gone Should have made a solid effort & stopped the police van they Officer in car didn’t do anything he knows they are well & truly gone
In London you have to pass a test called "The Knowledge" to become a black cab driver. For efficiency, a lot of people who want to train to pass the test, ride around on a scooter or motorbike and practice routes.
over here in the uk we commonly use the word moped for this and a scooter is a little two wheeled thing u ride on when ur a kid before u can ride a bike
+MM420 The pieces of shit might be on a moped now, but they were one well aimed acid squirt away from riding off with an S1000R covered in carbon parts.
keyword 'some' I mean I'm sure it's very common in the UK, but when 2 guys pull up on you like that both suspiciously looking the opposite way, that's a sign to take off from the light and not stay there any more...he's smarter than the average bear, but still lucky for how long he stayed at that light
Ace Sakhi they stared at him, driver looked at the place where the keys should be, they ran as soon as they lost their oppurtunity, the dindt have a plate in case it would be on camera or memorized, they pulles up right next to him(closely), the were trying to look casual but stil figure everything out, they made a u turn as soon as they saw a bike to steal and they ran a red light to flee. This is quite obvious and dont be naive
If it was me, I would be in first gear at all times, if they got off and came near me, my bike would go 0-100 real quick or I'll just take out a gun and shoot them. simple as that
Mayflower Maxx You know he's in London, right? No personal firearms or even knives? You are also ready to be held responsible for every stray bullet you send downrange in such a crowded space? You can draw and fire accurately faster than you can just twist the throttle and leave?

They said they have to catch them in the act they can't arrest people for acting suspicious, he was right in saying so, if they start arresting people on the suspicions your kind will be the first one to bitch about it, hypocrite
Carry a hammer and screwdriver at all times, and have it within reach, that way when someone pulls up and makes a move, you can crack them a few times with that and break a wrist or two. Go for the shins even.
Relax ya but this guys from the uk I believe and guns are illegal to the public there I believe... That said I live in Texas if you try to steal my bike you better believe I’m packing heat and won’t stop pulling my trigger until I see the person fall still... Still though I have no clue what I’d do if it were illegal to own a gun it might deter me from riding altogether knowing someone could potentially (and easily) overpower me and steal my bike right out from underneath me
@@forestscott6281 You're lucky. We're like cattle here. Got a bike stolen once on knife-point and police took 40 minutes to show up, just to write some details and to never saw the bike, helmet and mobile phone again! If I managed to hurt them, I'd be in jail right now.

Could catch up with RJ power wise since he can't full throttle most of the time and has to slow down to filter giving them time to catch up. Although RJ is very skilled and probably faster at filtering and when he goes on highway they're fucked.
Seems like there's basically no deterrent for these little fuckers. Helmet on, no plates, police don't bother with them. The only risk they face is someone giving them a kicking, and of course they go two deep because there isn't a bollock between them. The upside is, these lovely chaps will end up addicted to drugs and spend the majority of their lives absolutely miserable, in and out of prison, and possibly AIDS ridden. So, I suppose there's a ray of sunshine there.
Scott Simpson there is a common saying the english men use "dont argue with a fool they will bring you down to there pety level and beat you with experience" this applys here
Nice to see the police so interested: "I'll circulate that info on the radio" - No officer, pull over, take a written statement and arrange to see RJ at the station to get a copy of the video footage!
I have several friends who work in policing, they certainly do give a shit, but unfortunately there is little they can do in instances like this. The riders have no number plate, but that's about all they did wrong if you just watch the video. Yes it looks like they were going to go for the keys, but they didn't, so if they were charged it would lead to nothing but wasted time and effort on the part of the police. If they can catch someone they will, but they have to prioritise, and a video of some shady guys on a ped with no plate isn't going to get anyone anywhere. Report it yes so that they are aware, but realistically the police have better things to do like trying to catch them in the act rather than filling out paperwork for a video with no great criminal activity. I would hate to have one of my bikes stolen, and so would the coppers I am friends with as they all ride, but I'd rather see them on the streets patrolling looking for these cunts than back at the station chatting about something like this.
+Jimmy De'Souza I'm not saying there aren't games being played, I'm just saying that in instances like this it's hard for the police to do much. I would say that the police as a whole do a good job. It's impossible to catch them all, and fixed penalties are a big part of it. I have had some, and I deserved them every time. If people would like the police to issue less of them then they should break the law less. I have been in plenty of situations where I was being stupid and the police had plenty of reason to issue me with points or a fine, but they haven't. I was caught with a friend on our bikes doing 60+ in a 30 albeit briefly, and we were pulled over and told to calm down and take it somewhere rural. I'm not saying all of them care and all of them deal with things reasonably, but I think for the most part they do.
+Jimmy De'Souza it was more the original comment that made me see it that way, seemed like it was personal to the individuals. You are right about the metrics though, while there isn't a hard "you need this many fines issued in x time" it is certainly encouraged. Obviously the brass love to see the numbers go up in areas they can use to show they did a good job, so naturally they encourage the behaviour. They want to get ahead in life.
They will simply just push you off of the bike and start threatening you with a weapon. People in this modern time are too scared to intervene, for the basis of their safety.
Yeah they just push you off the bike, threatening you with some sort of weapon or at least go for the keys to prevent you from escaping. It will all happen in a matter of seconds and im pretty sure no one would intervene. You can see the guys looking at the keys but they didnt go for it because of the police van.
@@danielmartins4367 its just speculation that he looked at the keys. Sry but he just looked at the bike normaly. Eye contact was too short imo. So just speculation from you.
@@cheesyspace 2 up on a big scooter with a backpack is a common MO for criminals in London. Most of them are very young and members of gangs from their pre-teen years. Those two were looking to take his bike, or at least considering it. There are literaly daylight robberies using the same MO, of stores, cars, etc etc.
In addition to this it's sad now the law has changed and police aren't allowed to pursue bikers (even wearing a helmet) this is why so many criminals are operating on mopeds and bikes. Ride safe people.
Even though it might not be an official law, I am pretty sure that after some events/accidents (in France), cops should... "avoid" chasing motorcycles. Blabla public safety bullshit blabla.
Mangalex28 I got chased by police was oblivious to them being there they chased me for 40 plus miles and stope at 137 mph that's a fact rest is history
you should get a leash to hook your keys on and hook the other end to the bike, slightly inconvenient every time you get off the bike but it'll at least stop a thief
Thank you so much RJ ! A very dodgy situation developed on my ride home tonight, but because I remembered your advice in this movie I realised what was happening and managed to get myself out of danger.
That police officer couldn't care less. Nothing against him but almost nothing gets done about bike crimes, especially if there's only a suspicion to go by.
To be fair to the copper how much interest can he show when police policy prevents him from pursuing them in case the little darlings fall off and hurt themselves, time that was changed, i'd let them ram the little fuckers into the middle of next week.
I don't agree with you here. He seemed to care, actually. But I guess he was also thinking "I've got to be on my way to ... whatever." Seemed friendly enough about it, though, for how much he was actually able to do at that moment. I mean, they'd be gone by then, anyway.
M G Pretty sure the last thing a thief would do while riding a stolen bike is jumping a red light. Combined with the U-turn right after passing RJ they were definitely up to something. Then RJ stepping back triggered their nerves and the driver made an impulsive decision by taking off. At least that's what makes the most sense to me. :-)
Barney, you probably didn't realise that's I was being sarcastic.! The police here in London don't care about this people stealing bikes, but if you step on bus lane you got a ticket.! I got a ticket because my exhaust was loud and because I had black visor on my helmet.!
The exhaust, to my knowledge, is legal in terms of volume. As for the U-Turns, he could most likely petition against any tickets or fines and submit this footage - I'm confident that they'd see the reasoning behind it and could understand why he did it
+Gabriel MoToVlog UK if you abided by the rules like we all do, then the Police wouldnt get slowed down by petty criminals like you. Instead they could chase the big boy criminals. Think about that.
AM Well that makes sense but its still a big risk especially on the bike even if he was going slow. Wouldn't it be better if he had someone else drive him ?
Wow RJ I just want to say your awareness is impeccable.... I ride about and would never have thought to look out for something like that, thanks for making me more aware friend :)
great work, really switched on to pick up on the signs of this.. funny that people think you are being paranoid when you react like this.. but sometimes the brain is able to pick up on micro details without your conscious thoughts being aware.. really great to share this.. as a biker I really appreciate being made aware of people like this in the UK
Ace, There's 2 guys on a scooter with no license plate. Why did they turn around to follow him?Why did they run away through a red light when the police siren sounded? Why do thousands of motorcycles and scooters get stolen every year in the UK? Don't be an idiot.
That's basically what the 2016 PCX has. It has a keyless start. If you keep the keyfob to yourself, the bike will shut off if you (or the bike) go too far. Of course this hasnt become mainstream yet because it's very expensive if you lose the keyfob.
yeah but soon as that happens they drop your bike and you get a nice hefty bill..better to not let them take your bike in first place..just fight them off
One sits on the bike, the scooter rider pushes bike with foot while riding......they still get it away (unless auto bar lock is a feature). They probably get paid to rob the bikes from someone further up the scum chain and don't actually strip or sell the bikes themselves.
halnywiatr it's actually illegal for a bike company or any car company to install a feature to make the engine to automatically stop while the car or bike is moving apparently its dangerous or something like that
I can turn off my key while driving, no problem. Its also not dangerous as I remember when the toyotas had the accelerator issue where the accelerator got stuck that it was recommended to turn off the ignition in the advent that it happened.
Black cab drivers in London need to pass a test known as the knowledge. 25,000 streets, landmarks and the fastest routes. Takes around 4 years or so to study, quickest way is to ride around on a scooter with a preset route to memorise. Often described as the hardest test in the world.
These guys are in multiple other videos on UA-cam. Theyve been caught on helmet cams and cctv. Seen in a video near a primary school where they get caught trying to steal a blue Vespa and one with a 14 plate v-max stealing a panigale
The copper at the end of the video paying typical lip service... "Agh OK, agh OK, unless we catch them there's nothing we can do" NO! Go and fucking catch them then, or at least make the effort.
To be fair there wasn't much he could do. By the time he was informed the scooter kiddies could have been anywhere - London is a huge place. He probably radioed in for officers to keep an eye out but that's all that he could do without a numberplate to go on. And, aside from no numberplate (which I'm sure they're claim must have fallen off) at that point the only offence they had committed was shooting the red light. It's London - people are shooting red lights all the time. London is a shit hole - I was glad to see the back of Lewisham - there is so much more serious crime for too few officers to attend to than dodgy blokes on scooters that don't actually follow through with their intended crime.
He had evidence in the form of video of a good part of their faces. He should have been advised to take this evidence to the police station. Copper was "yeah, yeah, the cheques is in the post" with his attitude. Glad I left that shit-hole of a country, where people aren't allowed to fight back. Enjoy Sharia law!
Can you imagine how much 'evidence' of 'someone probably up to no good' of non-crimes the already understaffed police would have to investigate? Essentially UK police would have to look through the equivalent of UA-cam donated from every busybody with a mobile phone. The police don't have time for that - there's too much real crime to deal with to be bogged down with 'he looked kinda dodgy' 'offences'. And if you think it's any different where you've moved to you're deluding yourself. I lived in both the USA and Australia and their police have the same crap regarding staff and budgets. Don't believe me? Test them with a mobile phone recording of a 'crime' that wasn't and see for yourself.
Understaffed because you lot don't complain enough. Don't UK cop cars have number plate/no number plate recognition? A zero tolerance policy would do a lot to eradicate this. Numberplate fell off - shame! Your vehicle is impounded immediately. You've got 7 days to present your insurance details, ownership details, and roadworthy certificate otherwise it goes to the crusher and you get a nice fine. The French wouldn't take this shit, they would get up, demonstrate and demand something was done, or do it themselves. Law in the UK is biased toward the wrongdoers. I still can't believe the UK cops can't even pursue any more because a criminal might hurt themselves. What soft cock made that rule up?
I've got a killswitch in my jacket, bike wont run if the jacket is not close enough and will stop if i get too far away

The greed in that guys eyes when he looks at the keys then looks into your eyes was insane

600cc scooter in a busy city, I mean it's unlikely they'd ever catch RJ on an S1000R, but they'd probably have tried to.
Could catch up with RJ power wise since he can't full throttle most of the time and has to slow down to filter giving them time to catch up. Although RJ is very skilled and probably faster at filtering and when he goes on highway they're fucked.
You'd be surprised the risks thieves take, no road laws apply to them. I've seen a few riding incredibly recklessly in London

Someone has an inflated sense of self-worth.

They will simply just push you off of the bike and start threatening you with a weapon. People in this modern time are too scared to intervene, for the basis of their safety.

There's 2 guys on a scooter with no license plate. Why did they turn around to follow him?Why did they run away through a red light when the police siren sounded? Why do thousands of motorcycles and scooters get stolen every year in the UK?
Don't be an idiot.
It's OK.
those beta males are invading that country
Oh yea yea
Eddie mercury oh yeah yeah
Time to install a kill switch that disables the bike if -you- are not on it.
Policeman is like ‘oh ok’ ‘I’ll ask you a question and pretend to be interested’.
What going on with the bike at 3:17. Can he see properly?
Zooming in, it looks like he's got two huge maps taped to his screen.... ahah
Black cab drivers in London need to pass a test known as the knowledge. 25,000 streets, landmarks and the fastest routes. Takes around 4 years or so to study, quickest way is to ride around on a scooter with a preset route to memorise. Often described as the hardest test in the world.
The hardest test in the world, is trying to find out where the missus wants to eat when she suggests going out for a meal.
They should pass a driving test too .

Barnaby Wild he said "it's been circulated" he didn't actually talk to his radio once.
Glad you didn't get mugged. Keep on making great videos.
