I like the new format. You get to play so many different teams which is great. I got so sick and tired of watching the same teams twice over and over again.
My main argument is that the downside to this format it means liverpool have outright won against 7 different opponents, the fact they have proven outright they are the best in the leauge it takes away from the knockout stages
@@owenmurphy4635No it doesnt. Everyone knows a one off game is different to a league format. Liverpool have thrived in the league format the same way they are doing in the PL, it doesnt mean in a one off game they will also thrive.

Nah, the season has already impacted me positively. Theres no way I want to watch lfc play 4 teams two times, plain and boring. Idk about the fans who travel to games but sitting from home, I'm having fun watching my team play 8 different teams.
I swear these travelling fans (honestly it’s never more than 10,000 MAX in away European games I’ve been to a few) think they’re more important than the millions who watch at home. We get 4 away games anyway, that’s 1 more than the regular UCL group stages. People just moan to moan.

I love this new format!!! What in earth are they talking about! The first 8 teams qualify for the round of 16,9-24 plays each other in the 2nd round to qualify for the round of 16. Everyone else is eliminated!
This is fantastic! Big teams can't just draw with each other as they risk missing out on making the cut. And big teams can end up drawn against each other in play-offs let alone last 16.. More jeopardy, more variety and clubs get a chance to make some money.
new format so far is a massive improvement. 8 different opponents. the only teams playing dead rubbers are the ones already out. only problem of the format is the seeding. teams in the top 8 are gonna be rewarded with some nasty 15-24th opponents likely to require 16 points for top 8, 5 wins & a draw. genuinely high bar. we might find teams in future not bothering, rotating for the group stage and taking the extra KO round
@@therealdk01 yes i disagree with the fa cup reforms. should be the league cup they reform, qualifying for europe at any level should disqualify you from the league cup. then everyone plays 3 comps & we get more interesting cup winners

Without big clubs in the mix, the standards become more even, which could result in less enthusiasm in cup games, especially in comparison to a trophy like the fa cup?

Liverpool are the best team in the world by a big margin imo, but stop riding yourselves and start giving credit to Lille. No one really gets out of second gear against them, thats because they don't allow for that to happen.

OAP sods cant fathom a slight change to a CL format. It’s not fucking astrophysics they literally explained it numerous times at the start of the season and the quality of games has been incredible. Much better than the old format where the last two games were essentially dead rubber if you won the first 4
It really isn't maybe for 10 year olds like you it is because you can stare at your screens even more all it does is minimise the chances of underdogs getting through it also js adds more games to players plates so injuries are more likely to occur

This format is a lot fairer tbh, each team plays 2 teams from the 4 tiers rather than 1 team possibly getting 3 dead teams or 3 amazing teams. Home & away comes into play in the knockout stages. Apart from it being a couple extra games, I like it.

I don't like this new format it'll burn out players which will lead to injuries I know the games are good but top the new format and international breaks topped up by leagues and domestic cups injuries are bound to strike clubs who are having the season of their lives turn to being an underwhelming end.

Robbie hasn't really thought this through on the new UCL format. You want bigger groups, want to meet teams home and away and still feel the matches are too much. a bigger 5-team group home and away is 8 matches. 6-team is 10 matches. 18teams in 2 groups won't have home and away either. Just stop this complaints and move on. So many discussions have gone on before it was approved. It's a brilliant format. There is jeopardy in every game. The last day will be fantastic.

The new format with the random 8 games provided a lot more wins to the smaller teams. For those teams the millions are major injection.
