- Pershore is on the banks of the River Avon. A market town in Worcestershire, 10 miles from Worcester and close to Evesham. With it’s Georgian architecture and magnificent Abbey founded in 689AD by King Oswald. Later, in 972AD, a charter was granted by King Edgar. Most of the Abbey's architecture is from the 13th
In 1830 Queen Victoria when a princess stayed in The Royal Three Tuns Hotel. (Time stamp 6:23 - 6:37)
The bridge built by the Monks in 1413 is shown at the end of the video.
We live close so we had to film there. This is the first outing with our little Drone. Wind speed was very high, and although Derek’s skill level is at the novice level, we were quite pleased.
Filmed with iPhone 11pro on Smooth 2 gimbal. Drone is a Mini 2. All footage is 4K.
The law on Drones below 250g has changed, so expect to see a little more footage from above.

Beautiful place! The song fit very well with the footage! Happy new year guys!
Let’s hope it’s a good one 👍🙏🌈
Ahhhh, home of the Great and Powerful Oz, Robert Fripp and his wonderful wife, Toyah Willcox. A lovely town with celebrities but then the UK is not so very big and celebrities probably live in all of the small towns or near them❣
The Abbey is so so beautiful. Oh, all that gorgeous mistletoe at 15:09!!! Thank you so much for this peaceful video of this quaint town!!
This area seems to have a lot of mistletoe. If you watch TV channel 5. THE COTSWOLDS
With Pam Ayres they pop into Toyah’s garden. 🙏👍
@@CarolandDerek Do you know which episode? There are many. Thank you so much for your reply!!
@@tlm8436 series 2 pos episode 3 we think

Big like, great footage with super relaxing music, amazing!thanks for sharing, stay blessed and happy new year!
Thank you for those kind words. Have a healthy and happy New Year 🥳
Hi ! Very civilised looking town. Handsome architecture, I liked the oversized flying buttresses on the front of the Abbey. Winter doesn’t seem to have bitten hard yet and I am surprised by the amount of activity taking place, so many shops open! Lovely video, cheers Don ;-)
It was a bit buzzing, but I think it will all change today😷!!! Spent Christmas in Swanage, no snow, but cold 🥶
A once great abbey partially destroyed by Henry VIII when the nave was demolished. The buttresses were put In to support the tower. The building has virtually no foundations
@@martinbradshaw7877 thanks for Watching and taking the time to comment. Didn’t know about the foundation’s. we’re the buttresses a later addition 14C we know extensive rebuilding went on about then.
Keep safe and wish you a healthy and happy New Year 🙏👍🌈
@@CarolandDerek I believe they are about 6 inches deep and the building is built on marshland which still floods. The north transept fell down and was rebuilt hence different style. It was once at least as big as Tewkesbury and was an outpost for Westminster Abbey
@@martinbradshaw7877 we are typing at the same time 👍

@@TheContinuingStories what an entertaining channel you have. Have a healthy and happy New Year 🥳🥂
On a dreary day like today, I took the opportunity to take a walk. Thanks for that. A 2021 New Year's wish for you... that you may enjoy good health and continue to be able to make many more beautiful videos. 🙏 ❤️ 🙋♀️
And the same to you and yours. Healthy and happy New Year to all your family. 🎁🌈🥳
Massive network of tunnels underneath
We will have to make another video with a little more info. Do they flood with the water table? Thanks for letting us know 👍🙏
I lived in Pershore for 14 years. My favourite place in England. How bizarre though that everyone has bought into the mask covid thing.....
Hope we did you town justice. It’s nice to get feedback from people who live in the locations we film, so thanks for commenting 🙏👍
Don't like it at all. Traffic, traffic and more traffic. Is it possible to find a quiet corner away from the traffic?
The short answer is no. It is sad but nothing stays the same, but we try not to film the cars, rubbish bins and for sale signs 🤔😉😱
