It's a shame they didn't keep the "Best friend being in love with the Heroine without knowing it's really his best friend"-thing going in the show. That could've lead to a lot of comedic moments. I actually like this one better. The art style was a bit weird at first, but only because it's such a huge change from the finished product - it actually grew on me after a while. Besides that, this version is definitely a lot funnier. They really should've kept the pilot's writers, if nothing else - the constant She-puns on the show get annoying very quickly; this version has way more visual humor (that's actually well done). I also really liked the idea of Guy changing into She-Zow randomly, and the whole "best friend in love" bit is GOLD. I will say this in defense of the current show - I am NOT sorry in the least that they changed She-Zow's outfit. Ouch....

I disagree, and yet I agree. Personally, the art, design and animation of the new version is far superior. However, the writing and acting of the original short are much better than the new one. Yes, I'm aware some parts of it are exactly the same. However, the fewer amounts of She-puns are welcome, and Guy's friend being romantically interested in Shezow as opposed to being an indecisive and fairly useless sidekick is a much better plot point.
