After implantation of new liquor policy I have seen my friends who used to drink one bear or quater but after they started to drink double the alcohol due to buy 1 get 1 free. Now they have become addicted to that.
No it shouldn't be and I'll give 4 reasons for it: 1. As told in the video also, Liquor is a major source of Revenue for Governments which the governments then use for development & pro-poor welfare policies. Although sometimes it's used for corruption & freebies as well like in this case. 2. What one drinks or not comes under Freedom of Choice of an individual. The state can't rule don't drink liquor. There are other ways to curb it's use like making 25 years of age mandatory, increasing license fees as well as VAT to disincentivise people from over consuming liquor. 3. Liquor is a major proposition for countries signing Free Trade Agreement with us so there's Geopolitical pressure also. UK, Aus & EU have specially demanded lowering of tax rates on Liquor to export more and in return they'll reduce tax rates & import duties on products we have requested them to reduce to increase our exports. 4. Liquor today is a 50 Bn$ industry in India & is set to become a 100 Bn$ industry by 2030. Just imagine the huge source if employment Liquor industry generates. In a country where unemployment is a major issue, cutting down existing sources of employment would be foolish. There's a need to regulate the use of liquor instead of completely banning it. 1. Make 25 years of age mandatory to purchase alcohol & minimum 21 years to consume it 2. Regulate how many liquor stores can be opened in a particular zone. IMO based on population, shouldn't be more than 10. 3. Impose SIN Tax on Alcohol if reqd.

Are all of them...pure and honest? Justice and law should be same for all. If tommorrow sisodiya ji joins BJP then, will this investigation continue as same as today? No it shouldn't be and I'll give 4 reasons for it:
1. As told in the video also, Liquor is a major source of Revenue for Governments which the governments then use for development & pro-poor welfare policies. Although sometimes it's used for corruption & freebies as well like in this case.
2. What one drinks or not comes under Freedom of Choice of an individual. The state can't rule don't drink liquor. There are other ways to curb it's use like making 25 years of age mandatory, increasing license fees as well as VAT to disincentivise people from over consuming liquor.
3. Liquor is a major proposition for countries signing Free Trade Agreement with us so there's Geopolitical pressure also. UK, Aus & EU have specially demanded lowering of tax rates on Liquor to export more and in return they'll reduce tax rates & import duties on products we have requested them to reduce to increase our exports.
4. Liquor today is a 50 Bn$ industry in India & is set to become a 100 Bn$ industry by 2030. Just imagine the huge source if employment Liquor industry generates. In a country where unemployment is a major issue, cutting down existing sources of employment would be foolish.
There's a need to regulate the use of liquor instead of completely banning it.
1. Make 25 years of age mandatory to purchase alcohol & minimum 21 years to consume it
2. Regulate how many liquor stores can be opened in a particular zone. IMO based on population, shouldn't be more than 10.
3. Impose SIN Tax on Alcohol if reqd.
Banning anything creates underground network, that creates mafia, mafia controls poltics politics control people.

Even I found this policy very weird not the policy but more of what was happening. before this policy We had 4-5 thekas next to each other in pitampura then out of nowhere We heard they shut down due to new policy which at that time I had no idea about, next thing I know I see a very big lavish theka opening near my house in a very residential area which was clearly a private theka where alcohol was sold at very discounted rates . after some time suddenly that shop closed down in about 5-6 months of opening and new notice was that alcohol can only be sold in government thekas. Now ik what was happening behind the scenes thanks to you
