Entertaining classifications, Hikes Of The PNW! 'Just found your channel and enjoy the content. May I add a couple of addendums? #6. THE EXPERIENCED PRO: Hikes without his/her eyes looking down all the time. They can negotiate a rooted & rocky trail with the grace of a ballerina, without ever tripping, all the while scanning the surrounding landscape with an aire of constant situational awareness. Their posture is upright with neat packs and no loose straps flopping around. They actually know how to USE TREKKING POLES CORRECTLY....instead of just walking with them. #7. THE NEWBIE WANNABE: Brand new gear with loose, unneeded accoutrements hanging off of sloppy packs with open zippers. They don't know how to pace themselves yet on ascents and they stumble on sore feet from inadequately broken-in boots... with loose shoelaces. Half walks and half drags their poles. However, they're really glad to meet anybody along the trail and will ask many, many........many questions.('Gotta love their spunk) 'Kinda reminds me of my early days way, way........way back when hiking was a solitary, wilderness experience where very rarely, I only met older folks. Oh great. Now I feel like a geezer! Happy trails!
I'm totally the Instagramer, only I walk very few miles, and take lots of pictures to make it appear that I went far.
