In my seven hundred year career, playing and listening to rock n roll, this is still one of my all time favourite songs. Just beautiful, the guitar solos are perfect, as is the arrangement, and production. An absolute classic. Prove me wrong… 😉
Nostalgia for me. This group used to play in what was the Kensington pub, opposite Oliver's bistro on I think Hollland Park Road. Anyone remember? Cant find either of them on an internet search now. I remember Whispering Bob Harris had this track as one of his all time favourites.
I saw them at the Nashville, which, if memory fails me well, was on the corner of Cromwell Rd and North End Rd. A wonderful roomy spit n sawdust boozer with great acoustics and an up for it clientele. Eddie and the Hotrods tore the place a fresh one last time I was there. Absolute mayhem.
