Great point about the issue of characters not knowing what we as audience already know. It's hard to pull off. There are some good detective stories where the audience is shown the criminal from the beginning and it's interesting to see how the detective will figure it out. But here it didn't work because the guy didn't do anything particularly smart or interesting to figure it out. He just read the solution to the mystery in those notes.
Great summary! I thought the same it was getting annoying with him repeating don’t you remember me sort of thing! And yes I think it is cheating if he sleeps with the different version of Daniela because she isn’t the same consciousness. 😂 if that makes sense!
Was anyone else bothered by the fact that Jason has money? He has taken 2 cabs & told Daniella (the artist)he could go stay at a hotel. ?? And a hospital takes a guy with no id and no insurance & no $$ and gives him a brain scan. Everything is different in the multiverse.
I found this after spotting a major Easter egg near the beginning of episode 2 and yes, I knew I might be spoiled because I haven’t finished most of the episode. Ok, I caught this immediately and it’s the loose knob on the bannister. That’s from the classic It’s a Wonderful Life! Also, juxtapose this with the title of episode one. “Are You Happy in Your Life?” IAWL was first shown in 1946 and might be thought of as a wish gone bad taking the main character into a parallel version of Earth. As you said, it’s the same but different. George finds out that he matters after all. Light matters and “dark matters.” Without dark, stars can’t shine.
I am a little confused how each Jason has the same house in Logan Square in two different realities. Is this an inherited family property or did they just happen to choose the same property twice? Also did the same key work in the first episode? Or was jason given a new key at some point? Lol maybe it explains it in the book
HAHA, I think the key thing is easy to explain. When we arrived in the different reality, the "good" Jason was given the "evil" Jason's stuff when he drugged him.
@@AnthonyTurner lol!! Im gonna keep watching to see if they explain the house thing. If Jason is so wealthy in this new reality, maybe he would have gotten a different place to live?!? I will stay tuned
I read the book like 2 years ago and I’m pretty sure in the book I think they do have sex and there is a discussion about it between Jason and Daniela that puts some tension between them.
It is cheating, but it doesn’t count cause his wife cheated first. I also wonder if Jason would have stayed if he could have kept the money and get his wife. Just forget about his son.
Let me know what you all thought about episode 2! Thanks as always for the support!

I knew I wasn't alone in thinking this!

Haha, yes, it makes sense. It was kinda out of character for Jason, in my opinion, but I dont blame him, lol
I am not sure if i want to watch this series. i cant decide. I just watched Constellation and it is very similar, so far.
Haha, well if you do end up watching it, let me know what you think. I've made recaps for the entire 1st season.

I wanna live in a universe where they don't ask for metal insurance when going to a hospital, lol.

WOW you have a keen eye lol
It's cheating, the choices Daniela 2 made after the pregnant decision that was made in that reality made them a different person. 🤔
Yup, that's the explanation that the show gave. Every decision someone makes creates a different reality.
Absolutely subscribed because you broke up the episodes! lol New Subscriber here❤
Haha, thanks. I kinda hate when the episodes are not broken up, lol

Crazy lol
It's cheating. It's not the woman he married.
❤
