Aint nothin like giggin up a sack full of frogs ! I used to gig off an airboat in lake Okeechobee years ago and son that was a good time right there. Those are more like fish spears you using . Our gigs were made from straightened 8 oght fish hooks . Still a good time to have in the heat of the night. Thanks for takin us along
Hey Catman, you ever try catching frogs with a trout or panfish fly? You just dangle the fly in front of their face and they'll bite it, you don't have to turn your light off or nothing. You can also use like a #8 bream hook with a piece of cloth. It might be an easier way from a kayak than gigging.
We used to do that when I was a youngster!! Sure brought back memories
Bro, im gonna try that, thanks!
Yep! They will bite it for sure!
@@veteranironoutdoors8320 right on let me know. Another tip get a screen or netting material that you can stretch across a 5 gallon bucket secure it tight to the side and cut a slit in the screen that your hand will fit trough stick you hand in drop your frog he can't jump out, and you're on to the next quick and easy.
Caught one on a rooster tail once, it climbed out of the water onto a rock, swung the rooster tail over just to see what it would do, first time in front of its face it went for it, worked like a charm.
"they're getting jumpy". Nice word play
Got to love the sound of the oh fog horns , must be some thick weeds for to be in the open like that, nice one guys
they are tough when they are on lillypads or grass. I usually grab or bow shoot them in that situation. Blowgun works pretty slick too
Always wanted to try this! Love your videos!
11:31 Mixed basket... Nasville Hot Chicken Legs/Thighs in the grease.
Get yourself a Hawaiian Sling. It's normally used for spearfishing but can be used for gigging. You won't need to pin them with the gig if you use it.
Some good ole frog legs mmm. Never been frog hunting looks fun though
Good eating. Will half to try a kayak
Bring a long a fishing rod with a trout or panfish fly tied on, dangle it in front of their face once you spot one, they'll bite. Might be an easier way from a kayak than gigging. You can also use a #8 panfish hook with a small piece of cloth if you don't have any flies. 1/32 oz jig works too
Grab em!!!
Get froggy 🐸
Hey that was cool and different, have you done a segment on frog leg preparation and how to cook?
Edible is the word
When there like that a fishing pole white little curly tail grub catch everyone that's my tip of the day
Thanks for sharing your videos and keep them coming please:
Looks like mosquitoville to me Cm! When I saw your gig, I thought there must be some bigg'uns in there.
You need a different type of gig head it will help you out tremendously when gigging frogs! Those will work if you only frog every now and then. But they make better ones let me know I'll send you one up to try out
Definitely. Those prongs are too thick and probably not sharp. You need thin diameter prongs when they're on the grass like that.
Yes indeed good eating frog legs. How do y’all prepare them up there?
👌👌👌👌👌
New sub! Liked 🐟🙏🧨
That experience was interesting!
Been wondering where you been guess you didn't kill anymore birds or hunt with that girl you hunted with all last year great video as always can't Waite for another one to come
Waffle house rules. Waffle House at 1 or 2 am, live life on the edge. How about a BB gun? Is that legal? Would they float?
