I bought the MOST EXPENSIVE ROOFBOX for the E46 !!

We needed more space in the E46 for our upcoming road trip, so we doubled the cargo space with a Thule Motion XT Alpine roobox !!
Also, Andre replaces my water pump and thermostat before our big trip

What specific roof box is that? Is that similar to the BMW 420 or 320 roof box??

It's the Thule Motion XT Alpine, I talked about it more at 10:40. From what I understand, the BMW 420 is named cause it is 420 litres and the 320 roof box is 320 litres. The Thule Motion XT Alpine is 453 litres (16 cubic feet, I misspoke in the video lol), so I would say this would be considerably bigger than both the BMW 420 and 320 roof boxes

@@mattch1n Yeah thanks I figured out the name of it once I kept watching lol but was too lazy to edit it out. Yeah you’re right, they are 420L and 320L. I was just curious because I haven’t seen them in person but I’m interested in buying a roof box. Yours doesn’t look massive on your coupe. Now knowing that it’s 453 litres I feel better about buying a 420 roof box for my e92 lol

@@zureai On an E92, you’ll be blessedddd. I think the biggest thing is proportions though. The Alpine version of the Motion XT is less tall but wider than the normal models. I think the thinness and wideness of this roofbox lend really well to going onto sports cars. That’s something I really looked for

@@mattch1n yeah the alpine versions are nice! Looks sick on yours. I’m still debating between bmw roof bars or Thule ones lol. I can buy oem second hand bmw roof racks for $200cad.. or buy an entire new set of Thule for $800cad.. the BMW defs the better buy but I hate how clunky and tall the racks sit lol
