Good under 5 minute review. Another thing to consider is if you own a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and/or Action 5 Pro, you can connect the Mic Mini directly to the camera because the receiver is built in.
@@daroldhunter I completely forgot to cover that in this video. Was kinda rushed to get 3 videos out for this mic so definitely only covered the essentials.
With the Lark 2s, 3 different types are listed on Amazon. I have the DJI mini's that came out last month and love them but what I don't like is that you can't use both mics at the same time to do an interview for instance. Amazon seems to suggest that this is possible with the new Larks, have you tried this? If not, will you? I do like the sound way better and that one can fit everything in the case as I use it on the go, but yeah...I gotta know about that interviewing/using 2 mics at once.
@@invadermoon The DJI Mic mini you can only use one mic at once. On Amazon it leads one to believe the that Lark Mini 2 let's you do interview style so one could use both mics at the same time as one can do with the DJI Mic 2's with internal storage. Do you not know? I've been searching all night as I don't trust Amazon reviews alone.
@@invadermoon The DJI's you can't use both mics at the same time. It says so on their website, Amazon, and my testing. So you are saying the Larks mini 2's do?
Great review/comparison. I don't disagree with your conclusion, although for me the new Lark M2S is the best one and I'm going to buy it, only because of its discreteness (if that's even a word), but then again these are both great mics, so the choice to buy one over the other remains subjective.
Everything is definitely subjective and every person has their own needs. I'm a content creator so having my mic visible is a non issue for me. I honestly like holding it in my hand so I have something to do with my hands. I just prefer the sound of the DJI more. Appreciate the support!
Agreed. There are plenty of options if you dont mind seeing the box. The whole point of the M2s is to be discreet and still be really decent quality and for that it wins hands down.
I can use the DJI with my Iphone, cant with the M2S, Backup track with the DJI not on M2S. The case is better on the DJI. I like the sound on the DJI. Magnets are better for more mounting options
A corrections. The battery life of the Lark M2S's is up to 9 hours and 30 hours with the charging case
Totally agree! The DJI Mic Mini gives a much more natural and full sound.
You were so busy speaking during the outdoor tests with the drone that there was no time to actually hear the background.
That's true. Next time ill have a pause.

@@invadermoon Was a good review. You covered the most important aspects of both, and the most important which is sound quality.
Which of the two do you think is best?
Wondering if Hollyland has improved their windscreen design. For now, DJI seems to have the edge in terms of installation and storage.

@ you can use both mics at the same time or they wouldn’t sell 2 mics on a set

Great review. You solidified my belief

What do you mean it's not even close? They hella close. I don't even know if DJI is even the winner.

mic mini sounds muddy and is not subtle. just good for vloggers and tiktok.
people does not try to hide the mics anymore
