Nascar Racing Season 2003 Huge Crash V2

- This is v2 of my video I uploaded a few weeks ago, I've added a few more clips and fixed the 3 minute overrun of the video.
I was driving the #59 car and got loose coming out of Turn #4. I almost corrected it but shot straight back up into the wall. I came back down the track and got turned by Carl Edwards(The #99 Car) and was sent right into the path of Jr.(The #8 Car) I was in second place so this collected the majority of the field.
This was recorded off-line.The Red Unsponsored Dodge was Dale Jarrett's car which I have replaced since the video was recorded.
It's set to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" which I'll admit has nothing to do with the song but its my favorite song so I though I'd use it.
The Frame Rate drops in a couple clips because of FRAPS(which cut my FPS in half when I recorded) so I couldn't correct that.

This the first NR crashes video I remember and think off when I was 5-6 years old… the chills this still gives me. The music also adds to the nostalgia

exactly. I love the feeling of mine. Hell i took a late model on the LMPv2 mod at I70, ran 10 laps, and punched my times, tire data, cross weight, and all of that into Intercomp's data program, and it came out the SAME. even said my car was tight, and it was VERY tight. Very realistic, I love this game!

And I noticed the 4 car was ward burton (1:27) but at the last few clips it’s replaced by a purple 4 Pontiac (3:59)

love it good job... it happend to me almost the same... i was racing dayton in nascar 06.. i was in 10 place on teh hardest level... and i tried to make a pass up top but i got hit by a car behind me when up the track and then every one went crashing all over the track.. i ended up 12 in the race... some where around 13 cars were out of the race
As is mine. crystal clear picture, most realistic feel in the wheel, and the adjustments do what they REALLY do in reality. And you can change individual spring weights, shock bump and rebound, left side weight, sway bars, individual tire pressure, hell even how much gas is in the car at the start of practice. let's see EA do that.
The cars don't slow down in NR2003 because in the game you still have to race back to the start/finish line during a caution.

Agreed. it looks really clear with my setup. My pc's hooked up to a 23" LCD tv and 5.1 surround, and has the highest graphics setting the game makes. besides the cars in pavement, its crystal clear.

In NASCAR 06 I caused the cars to ram into each other at a fast speed to create a large pileup. Then I swapped to the car in 1st so I would avoid the wreck I caused.
one hell of a wreck! in this game are all wrecks user created? or does the AI wreck on its own sometimes?

I think on the Dale Jr. cam, the 32 car made it through.
@Emit79 no the AI will run into eachother as well, you can actually adjust the config file for each track to modify the AI's behavior and make them crash more often if you wanted to or less often as well.

@Emit79 the great thing about this game is that the CPU can actually cause a crash by accident sometimes just like in real life, just because 2 AI cars go for the same spot.
I haven't played this game in awhile.
I would suspect that they are a different file type for the mod. I'm pretty sure there is a converter our there for the cars, I'm not sure if it will change it to the mod's file type.

You're looking for where I got the cars right? I took a look around for you and I couldn't figure out where I got them from. Try looking for cars that work with the un-modded game if you want something that's current.

I just got loose, I use a gamepad to play this game and the analog isn't sensitive to the angle I point it so i just overturned tried to correct it but I got tagged by the 99 and 8.
Check the graphics to see if you have a limit on how many cars you can see infrot/behind you

No wonder that every one got into that crash! Nobody brakes!!! And I know that nascars don't have good brakes but they have better brakes than that!!!

what was the point of hitting the wall and crashing? the crash is cool but you appear to of been in maybe 2nd place when you choose to crash

The guy looks like he was running a very uncomfortable set-up, considering that the moment he starts sniffing the draft of the #24 his rear starts to step out. While he tries correcting it, the car bounces off the apron and at that point he's lost it for good. I doubt this was intentional.
I was playing with a game pad that I couldn't get the game to recognize the analog sticks so had to play with the directional buttons. It was like playing with a keyboard.

This game was released in Feburary 2003 IIRC so don't flame the graphics.

Put them in the C:/Paprus/Nascar Racing 2003/series/cup/cars folder. Then start the game go to oppenent manager and create a new roster. Then add the cars to thr roster.

I got the demo for this game and i was trying to enter my steering wheel and pedals in the controls and it wouldnt read the movements of them so i cant use them. can anyone help?

no offence but i think the ai is tryin to be in the wreak cuse the 26 didn't even slow down and after jr. wreaked he was goin like 30 MPH and still ran into the #2 car kurt bush lol
