    Wild hogs are tearing up farm and ranch land everywhere and we are tasked with helping the farmers and ranchers reclaim their land. The hogs make it virtually impossible for some of these people to grow crops such as corn, wheat and oats in certain areas. This is not your typical hunting. This is eradicating a problem animal from problem areas. We hope you enjoy.

    I know they're a pest, but I still feel bad for an animal just trying to survive.

    These are beautiful animals. I wonder why they go to sleep when you take their picture though?

    So how often do you guys go out? And how many places do you guys patrol? If these sounders are this size I'm guessing they are pretty young meaning that management is working. Pig population gets out of hand real fast!

      Use the thermal to find the dead hogs in the dark because the body is still warm.

      Thanks for the view. It’s going to be a little slow while it’s hot and everything is grown up but we’ll get back to it asap.

    I don’t hunt, so Im not aware of the ground rules. Why do you have to count before shooting? Can’t you just take the shot? If there’s several of you out there, are you all shooting at the pigs? The marksmanship is impressive.

    • @HickoryFlatBoars
      @HickoryFlatBoars  Рік тому +1

      Once you shoot they all start running. Once they start running hitting the pigs stats to get a lot harder. If there are several and you count down then most of the times the first pigs fall increasing the number of kills you’ll have. We are all shooting at the same group. Thanks for the comment and view.

      We give it away when we have people that will take it but a lot of the times we just feed the other wildlife.

    Feral hogs are an enormous growing problem. Est 6 million increasing at 20% a year, do the math. Spreading into states that never had them. Currently causing $1.5 billion in damages per year. I think new technology needs to be developed to get rid of the hogs. Shooting a few dozen a night may clear out a local area but not the overall big picture. Just a matter of time before more hogs move in, again. I’m thinking some kind of new rapid fire single shot firing weapon that is AI driven, night vision, laser beam for accurate range, trained to only recognize hogs and coyotes to shoot at. Could group the mobile system with one or more others for multiple rifle system maybe each covering a field sector. Remote activation. Properly trained the AI system would hardly ever miss, wipe out 30 hogs in a few seconds. Dept. of Agriculture should start funding R&D. With estimated 1.2 million hogs being born every year you’d have to kill about 3,300 a day 365 days a year just to keep current population at 6 million, not happening.
