  • Disclaimer: Neither of us are medical professionals. This video is meant for the purpose of exploring the physics around concussions, not to provide medical advice on how to completely prevent or recover from a concussion. If you have a concussion, seek professional medical attention.
In this video, I explore the science behind concussions and how physics can help us better understand and hopefully prevent head injuries. Join us as I interview Joe, an expert in physics who explains the mechanics of concussion and the ways in which simple equipment can be used to develop better protection against the likelihood of you experiencing a mild traumatic brain injury. Whether you're an athlete, coach, parent, or simply curious about the science behind head injuries, this video is a must-watch. Gain valuable insights into the latest developments in concussion research and discover how physics can play a critical role in reducing the risk of head injuries in sports and beyond.

This was a very interesting video! Having experienced an sTBI, it was nice to see some more physics here!

Happy 9th birthday to the channel and congratulations for the astronomical growth since it started in 2015! We're all grateful for the work that you do (pun intended)...

Great bit of applied physics there!
Also, do you know when the GCSE livestreams will start?

Good advice. Most people don’t take them seriously enough.
And a loss of consciousness is life threatening. So then go to the hospital. People have died from loss of consciousness concussions.

Hello! This is unrelated to the video but im moving to the UK and will be sitting my a levels in the UK but im unsure of what exam board to chose from for physics, i have the option to do ocr,aqa & edexcel. I’ve seen that many people do aqa but im unsure of which is the “best”. Which one do u recommend? Thank you in advance :)

Very nice but for the algorithm
And the ever smaller attention span
You have to move a little faster
    The pace is too slow
...I am very interested in the topic and I felt a little bored
A person that is not that interested would leave early leaving a shorter watch time
