New Rotary/Silage/Hay - 2021 - Dairy Farming in Saskatchewan

This May we started up our new Boumatic 60 stall rotary parlour. We previously had a double 12 parallel parlour which we had used since 2001. Since 2001 our farm has grown and the old milking facility had become fatigued and was becoming a liability. We decided this was an important investment to make to become more efficient and give the cows a better environment to live in.
We also strive to grow good quality feed for our cows. We enjoy producing the best kind of milk (real from a cow) and overcoming the challenges faced milking and feeding cows every day of the year!

Very nice rotary. I worked for a few years with a 60-stall DeLaval PR3100HD. SbS-Rotary is the most productive type of coventional milking. Easy to reach perfomance you can't imagine with SbS or herringbone.
