God doesn’t promise a good life. He doesn’t even promise heaven. So you can be good and follow God and still possibly have a hard life AND go to hell. Sometimes it’s tough and feels like a lose-lose. Nobody really knows what they’re doing but we’re all trying. I love God. I also understand that it’s not easy and I’m not mad or judge people who fall because I fall allllll the time.
This is the type of conversation we’ll have if we’re never taught why we believe what we believe and just get told “well, just believe because I told you.”

shouldnt believe in god out of fear, its better to question yourself and go through growth then stay in the box of indoctrination because your afraid. Fear god, but he is a loving god, he understands everyone of our thoughts, he knows why we question things. He knows when we only believe in him because were scared. Be open minded, theres a reason there are so many different belief systems. You do not know the truth if youve never looked at any other book besides the bible. It would be equivalent to reading one book out of some random series and saying you know the story. God knows your intentions and those intentions should be to seek truth, not blindly follow something and lie to yourself about something you don’t understand. Not saying the bible is false, but its okay to have these questions. We should have these conversations because at the end of the day god would want us to talk about it and build true faith instead of having blind faith.
Living for God was never suppose to be easy. It’s a road full of pain. But ultimately, God is more concerned about our character rather than our comfort
The glory that will be revealed to us is no match for what we experience on this earth. You are so right the Lord wants to see us make it to glory. They’re going to be valleys, but this life doesn’t have to be horrible.
It is not only full of pain. When you get through the hard stuff life actually becomes better, cause God is a good God. He wants us to enjoy life. He created us to enjoy life initially. "Either way you lose..." Whatever "loss" you get in God is just excess weight that was never meant to be there in the first place. Stuff that often drags us down without us realizing it. It's like shedding old skin to become fresh again. It's sad that they feel they'd lose so much with God when the real heavy unhelpful loss comes from the other side...at the same time, I understand the sentiments. I know it's difficult to want to leave things in God's hands, afraid He wont give you what you want. A lot of Christians have been there before and it takes time to gain a deeper understanding of things and to gain faith in leaving it all in God's hands for the best, knowing that it'll all be well in time, but that's only through the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit. After that there's a lot more peace...and even in tough times there's a real support to lean on and worry often melts away... Praying for you both to find a way back to Jesus that really connects to the soul in a way you've never felt better. as a queer person i can say that full acceptance of my self >>>> "spiritual warfare" constantly in my mind and filling me with shame no matter how much i prayed. At best i was taught sexual suppression and at worst i saw judgement and legitimate hate. But the hate you received isn’t of God, it’s of Christians who aren’t practising the fruits of the Holy Spirit, the main one being love. We, as Christians, are to love everyone as Christ loves them. The religious trauma you went through seems to have stemmed from mistreatment in the Christian community for your sexuality. What Jesus says is “All who have sinned have fallen short of the Glory of God”. It isn’t queer people alone who have sinned against God, it’s all of us. The only thing to save us is Him. Now, if you believe you don’t need saving, it’s always a choice. as God gave us free will. But a life separate from God won’t satisfy nearly as much as a life guided by Him. Church boys are some of the most talented people. You guys are so similar, maybe it’s not a coincidence. Altho I think you’re more rooted in your faith than Daniel because you’ve sat with God for longer, you’ve experienced Him, deep down you know Jesus is the truth and that’s not something anyone easily turns away from. The truth is there will always be tension and confusion in your life trying to serve two masters, like you said God or the devil. You will love one and hate the other. There is always going to be that feeling of oppression when someone lives in two states, between following the world and following God. Living in the flesh or living in the spirit. The flesh will Always want the things of this world, and when we give in, we think it’s freedom, but honestly, we are all just slaves to the things we have no control over. So though Daniel said there is no freedom in religion, maybe, but not in Jesus. being able to walk in this world and know sin no longer has a hold , is the greatest freedom. Tho, we still fall sometimes.. Anyway I could say more, but at the end of the day I feel that you still love Jesus. If that prophecy is God’s will now coming to pass then so be it. There is always a time for darkness to reign before we realise that this was Gods plan and for his glory all along. Like when Judas betrayed Jesus. This world is a fallen world, full of sin, and if you love your sinful self, then you will be judged by God for that, resulting in death. However, to be saved we must hate our sinful nature, instead putting our faith in Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life and took the punishment we deserved. In doing so, we are born again (John 3:3). We are not physically born again, but our spirit is born again. Once our physical bodies die, our spirit is all that is left. And that spirit will enter heaven or hell. Follow your heart and you will die, but follow Jesus (to be born again spiritually) and you will be saved. Love you bro

We still have the source text and it has over 60,000 cross references from different authors, which is crazy to think. However, it’s important to read in context. Pray to God, and truly search for him with a genuine heart and mind. He will show you all truths and grant you the Holy Spirit, which helps with interpretation of Scripture. Montell, I want to let you know I been there personally myself bruv. I gave my life to Jesus two years ago and was a pastor at a church for a little bit. I thought why not keep living the way I was because either way I am going to hell and starting doing witchcraft, spells, divination all this stuff because I thought Jesus left me and I was to far away. Sense I couldn’t give Him my life I will fulfill my desires and He wouldn’t heal me or just cursed like this. I am here to testify to you man we tend to be forgetful creations at nature. The moment something doesn’t go our way we tend to doubt and think all these different possibilities. The moment you fully believe with your heart Jesus was Lord He said He will never leave you nor forsake you and His word stays true. He isn’t shaking His fist at you constantly condemning and rejecting you. You alive right now breathing is a sign He hasn’t given up on you. He loves you as a father does He wants best for you but respects your decisions. He wants your heart and knows Him personally. When I dedicate my life to Him it wasn’t because I thought God was going kill me but because of His love and realizing all this stuff I desired was meaningless. He still loved me even though I got prideful and literally cursed Him . He had mercy on me in holy stature. Same thing with you bruv and Daniel. You need to realize these demons literally want you dead nothing else. Steal your soul, kill everything good, and destroy you completely until you’re dead spiritually and physically. They will offer you all this stuff on a sliver platter and what you think you want. The moment you get where you desire they will require more and take it all away from you. It’s not just religious standpoint of reality. It’s a really spiritual realm mani and Jesus Christ is the highest power. All love to you man and pray you will see this in Jesus name. But I’ve had things that only God could do happen in my life where I can undeniably say that he is real. I have that too...but something that always snaps me back into reality, ironically enough, is looking at Satan...looking at how organized, passionate, strategic, and effective his assignments and soldiers are in his army, his spies, his angels of "light"...one of the main ones being the music industry, specifically doja cats "Demons" music video...(which I haven't even seen, I've only heard some of it, and seen screenshots) There's just no way a person can watch and listen to that horror and only believe it's explaination lies in "science" ...that stuff is not of this natural world... And I think that's actually one of Satan's main strategies...the nihilism that comes from ignoring and forgetting our role in the spiritual battle that goes on unseen visually, but very evident when looking at the state of humanity. (Which most people aren't doing as they're letting themselves be brainwashed because it's too painful to look at the state of the world, without God's help for hope.) So, look at God for sure, but also remember who you are in Christ...in HIS army. The true King of Kings has called us to worship him and fight in his army. But we forget and grow apathetic when we forget about the always active kingdom of darkness that never ceases plotting the ruin of everything good, and light, and holy in this world. We need to fight. And doja cats demons music video floods my memory and mind with all of those realities, so I recommend trying to remember the devil when "science" screams too loudly in your mind. Montell… sometimes the term itself “Christian” is so constrictive. everyone has their own meaning of it now. Follower of Christ… believer of Christ… now those are different platitudes. I have mini existential crises too. I used to dissociate really bad. The attempt to have all the wisdom can do that. That’s why ignorance is bliss most of the time, but it matters more where you’re applying that ignorance. Sounds like Daniel has let himself be defined by his talents, that’s really tough. I hope he finds his way back to Jesus because think about what would happen if his gift got taken away? Who would he be without his gift? It is by grace through faith we are saved, not by our works. (Ephesians 2:8)

Those late night heart to hearts out of nowhere where u and ur boy or girl or whatever just open up like kids and accept whatever’s said without judging. I feel like those rare talks r where we air out our own thoughts that needed to be said for us to refute them or accept them. And u need that special platform to do that. And you need to do that to grow. It don’t even matter if this is stuff u only think for a few weeks or for ten mins or it’s always been in the back of ur mind…idk just talk just listen. It’s one of the best things we can do for each other on this earth.

But what if this is God's plan for Montell and Daniel? Self discovery, identity, wholeness, true relationship? Being lost, to being found again. Dismantling what religion has taught you, binded you to believe, and creating a "100% get to heaven this way, if you live like this--approach?" It was sad to me at first, but then I slowly began to realize that people are human. To lose faith is to be human. To question your beliefs, who you are, and why you do the things you do, is human. The free will that God gave us, is to be human. Even if that means venturing out into the world, to find him.
Definitely could be at first, but I also think that question your beliefs is an important step to discovering who you are. It is sad for some yes, but essential if you want to develop your character.
This was interesting for me to watch this. A mixture of refreshing, because of how candid the convo was and also heartbreaking, because of some of the things that were said or the way that they felt as they are trying to figure things out. This hits close to home. I’m a Christian and I’ve had most of these same thoughts shared in this video. It’s nice to hear another person navigating life from a relatable place. I still hold on to Jesus Christ as God but the world isn’t black and white which can be beautiful and scary. I’ve seen Montell a couple times at shows and I wish I could’ve talked to him a little. These emotions aren’t easy and I’m glad this video is here. I wish I had more people around me that were open about these kinds of thoughts. Some feel easy to answer if you come from a bias background, but it feels like truth isn’t as easy to digest if your brain is wired as certain way. I believe the Bible is true because of personal experience with the Holy Spirit, as well as Evil Spirits. I’m grateful to have a Based Reality of the God of the Bible being real but I’m torn into shreds sometimes with moments in my life where I’m fighting to make sense of my current reality and what role I play in it. Like generally as a Christian you learn who you are more spiritually through Gods eyes, but living it out practically in a world full of ideas and partial truths is interesting to say the least. The moment Cesar said he was “okay with going to hell” Montell laughs. Following God is not an easy lifestyle to live. You can chose to walk away or stay. God gives you that decision but for His children that do follow Him, He has a greater purpose and reward than we could ever imagine. This lifestyle isn’t easy but Ik what the end goal is
This makes me think of how I slowly slipped into depression, reading Ecclesiastes while in counseling really opened my eyes to how much I shifted my focus towards things that ultimately don't matter as much as putting my focus on God. Ever since I started focusing on Him, I realized I don't need the answers to everything. I'm just aiming to live a simple life and keep my head above water.

Love you fish. I think you already know what you’re attempting to process. The truth is simple. God has repeatedly shown himself as you yourself acknowledged in this video. what Daniel said at 16:16 is one of the darkest things one can say. The willingness to “go to hell” for a failure to NOT recognize Jesus as LORD isn’t in the slightest coherent or emotionally intelligent.
Daniel is lost for sure, and it’s definitely sad. Sometimes I spend days literally depressed because of these kinds of statements that he makes, makes me so sad to think of all the people walking around with that exact same mindset and just actively throwing their life away to waste

To hear yall say "It's either God or the Devil either way you lose" It's heart breaking that you feel thay way. With the devil you only keeping losing. Those who try to gain their life will ultimately lose it. And with God it may feel like your "losing" yourself, but when bes taking you on that walk and your surrendering you in turn start to desire differently. Or the very thing your trying to use for your own gain, the reason it's even in you could've bene used for his glory and in turn your inheritance. I pray that in your own time you'll give God a chance again, and that the pain or religious trauma be healed the way He knows how to heal

God recently took me out of 3 years of being deep in sinful lifestyle, not caring about him and forgetting he even is there. I was also dating the wrong people which leads to soul ties. But he found me again, he took me out of that and all the addictions I had are gone as well. Being found, AGAIN, makes me never ever want to go back to that spot I was in that home I dug myself in. I’m just grateful for the joy I feel literally everyday. Haven’t been depressed or bipolar since he pulled me closer to him. And this time I feel like I’m closer than ever to him and I even started to experience the supernatural again such as healing and prophetic words and visions. Don’t feel comfortable in the hole, you don’t belong there! Sometimes you need to reach the lowest of the low to realize how much you actually hunger for God.

Whatever "loss" you get in God is just excess weight that was never meant to be there in the first place. Stuff that often drags us down without us realizing it. It's like shedding old skin to become fresh again.
It's sad that they feel they'd lose so much with God when the real heavy unhelpful loss comes from the other side...at the same time, I understand the sentiments. I know it's difficult to want to leave things in God's hands, afraid He wont give you what you want. A lot of Christians have been there before and it takes time to gain a deeper understanding of things and to gain faith in leaving it all in God's hands for the best, knowing that it'll all be well in time, but that's only through the guidance and leading of the Holy Spirit.
After that there's a lot more peace...and even in tough times there's a real support to lean on and worry often melts away...

What Jesus says is “All who have sinned have fallen short of the Glory of God”. It isn’t queer people alone who have sinned against God, it’s all of us. The only thing to save us is Him. Now, if you believe you don’t need saving, it’s always a choice. as God gave us free will. But a life separate from God won’t satisfy nearly as much as a life guided by Him. So though Daniel said there is no freedom in religion, maybe, but not in Jesus. being able to walk in this world and know sin no longer has a hold , is the greatest freedom.

This world is a fallen world, full of sin, and if you love your sinful self, then you will be judged by God for that, resulting in death. However, to be saved we must hate our sinful nature, instead putting our faith in Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life and took the punishment we deserved. In doing so, we are born again (John 3:3). We are not physically born again, but our spirit is born again. Once our physical bodies die, our spirit is all that is left. When I dedicate my life to Him it wasn’t because I thought God was going kill me but because of His love and realizing all this stuff I desired was meaningless. He still loved me even though I got prideful and literally cursed Him . He had mercy on me in holy stature. Same thing with you bruv and Daniel. But I’ve had things that only God could do happen in my life where I can undeniably say that he is real. I have that too...but something that always snaps me back into reality, ironically enough, is looking at Satan...looking at how organized, passionate, strategic, and effective his assignments and soldiers are in his army, his spies, his angels of "light"...one of the main ones being the music industry, specifically doja cats "Demons" music video...(which I haven't even seen, I've only heard some of it, and seen screenshots)
There's just no way a person can watch and listen to that horror and only believe it's explaination lies in "science" ...that stuff is not of this natural world...
And I think that's actually one of Satan's main strategies...the nihilism that comes from ignoring and forgetting our role in the spiritual battle that goes on unseen visually, but very evident when looking at the state of humanity. (Which most people aren't doing as they're letting themselves be brainwashed because it's too painful to look at the state of the world, without God's help for hope.)
So, look at God for sure, but also remember who you are in Christ...in HIS army. The true King of Kings has called us to worship him and fight in his army. But we forget and grow apathetic when we forget about the always active kingdom of darkness that never ceases plotting the ruin of everything good, and light, and holy in this world. We need to fight. And doja cats demons music video floods my memory and mind with all of those realities, so I recommend trying to remember the devil when "science" screams too loudly in your mind.

I have mini existential crises too. I used to dissociate really bad. The attempt to have all the wisdom can do that. That’s why ignorance is bliss most of the time, but it matters more where you’re applying that ignorance.

It was sad to me at first, but then I slowly began to realize that people are human. To lose faith is to be human. To question your beliefs, who you are, and why you do the things you do, is human. The free will that God gave us, is to be human. Even if that means venturing out into the world, to find him.

This was interesting for me to watch this. A mixture of refreshing, because of how candid the convo was and also heartbreaking, because of some of the things that were said or the way that they felt as they are trying to figure things out. I am thankful I stayed as open as I could so that I was just truly hearing where they were coming from and not jump into judgement....Cuz Lord knows I'm trying my best and working thru my own stuff.
Jesus, I pray that you would continue to guide Montell and Daniel to yourself. In a way that brings the freedom that you want them to experience and the holes that they are longing to have filled. I pray that you would also protect them from the attacks of the enemy because we know that he comes to steal, kill, destroy and distract. Lord, I pray that they would have a healthy fear of you God. One that leads them to deeper intimacy instead of an unhealthy fear that would turn them away from you. Lastly, I pray for my heart that I would continue to stay open towards peoples journeys whom I may not understand and that I would have soft heart to love others in Spirit AND Truth.

This hits close to home. I’m a Christian and I’ve had most of these same thoughts shared in this video. It’s nice to hear another person navigating life from a relatable place. I still hold on to Jesus Christ as God but the world isn’t black and white which can be beautiful and scary. I’ve seen Montell a couple times at shows and I wish I could’ve talked to him a little. These emotions aren’t easy and I’m glad this video is here. I wish I had more people around me that were open about these kinds of thoughts. Some feel easy to answer if you come from a bias background, but it feels like truth isn’t as easy to digest if your brain is wired as certain way. I believe the Bible is true because of personal experience with the Holy Spirit, as well as Evil Spirits. I’m grateful to have a Based Reality of the God of the Bible being real but I’m torn into shreds sometimes with moments in my life where I’m fighting to make sense of my current reality and what role I play in it. Like generally as a Christian you learn who you are more spiritually through Gods eyes, but living it out practically in a world full of ideas and partial truths is interesting to say the least. I might be yapping but feels good to post this comment on a video that’s relatable rn. Love, to whoever reads this.

Following God is not an easy lifestyle to live. You can chose to walk away or stay. God gives you that decision but for His children that do follow Him, He has a greater purpose and reward than we could ever imagine. This lifestyle isn’t easy but Ik what the end goal is
This makes me think of how I slowly slipped into depression, reading Ecclesiastes while in counseling really opened my eyes to how much I shifted my focus towards things that ultimately don't matter as much as putting my focus on God. Ever since I started focusing on Him, I realized I don't need the answers to everything. I'm just aiming to live a simple life and keep my head above water.
This is very refreshing. Life is this. full of questions...good, neutral or overall bad....sad... experiences. We ponder upon many things. we hurt. We heal. We live. We learn. Its nice to see two people ponder about so many things, in way that no one is being rude or judgemental.

This is how I think most conversations guys goes.. like from Anime to all of the sudden, talking about the spiritual realm and life..
God recently took me out of 3 years of being deep in sinful lifestyle, not caring about him and forgetting he even is there. I was also dating the wrong people which leads to soul ties. But he found me again, he took me out of that and all the addictions I had are gone as well. Being found, AGAIN, makes me never ever want to go back to that spot I was in that home I dug myself in. I’m just grateful for the joy I feel literally everyday. Haven’t been depressed or bipolar since he pulled me closer to him. And this time I feel like I’m closer than ever to him and I even started to experience the supernatural again such as healing and prophetic words and visions. Don’t feel comfortable in the hole, you don’t belong there! Sometimes you need to reach the lowest of the low to realize how much you actually hunger for God.
