To Mr. Joe Buddens remarks at 0:14 sir, if you were to listen to the album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, there is a track on there called 'Savior' which Mr. Lamar states, "Tupacs dead, gotta think for yourself" which is what he is doing with scenes with 'the containers' is to make the listener/viewer think for himself/themselves..
0:50 yes Kendrick is intentional, but art is absolutely subjective as well and Kendrick knows this. So I think there is truth to what Melyssa was saying before Joe so rudely cut her off
I mean history shows that that's actually Drake's thing. He not only dropped a hastily put together project on one of Kendrick's album release days. He actually recently attempted to do that again because he thought that an album was coming a lot sooner and got some misinformation about the day.

I agree with you! She is so much more than a pretty face. I gained a lot of respect for her when I watched her reality show. She was a true friend to Daisy. Her now deceased mom made a few appearances on the show. She expressed concern about Mel. She wanted Mel to thrive despite life's challenges and setbacks.
Joe’s knee jerk nasty dismissal exposed his insecurities and highlighted the misogyny among the cast.
I agree. I hate when they gang up on her. They definitely use her as a punching bag for all their "issues " with women. It's gross
@@EmmaEffa Definitely true. And this isn't the first time.
Although I don't watch Every episode.... in Every one that I do, it's the same thing over and Over again.
Really alarming.
Mel, on her Davinci Code ish today! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing her decode the video 👏🏿 👏🏿
Word to The Wire Season 4
They do Canada shit on on Canada Day. Eat Canadian Bacon, drink Canada dry, make maple syrup.. you know canada shit 😭😭😭
You outta pocket😂😂😂😂
Bro said Canada Dry Lmao
U cheesin fam 😂
We do 🫡
You forgot the molson canadian my guy 😂😂😂
His body language was crazy….no emotion really like it was no pressure or he ain’t even trying
Ish inability to comment because he’s so upset for Drake is so bizarre do he know Drake personally?
He’s paid off by Drake and OVO
Kendrick over hyped.
Team Drake!
@@francisavilez4435when?
Mel cooked in this episode. she was spot on about the shipping containers representing the exportation of black culture
0:50 yes Kendrick is intentional, but art is absolutely subjective as well and Kendrick knows this. So I think there is truth to what Melyssa was saying before Joe so rudely cut her off
9:24 “nigga dont like the westcoast im fine with it.. I push the line with it” he definitely bout have a westcoast vibes!!!
Pickem off one at a time with it
@@playertopdog140we can be on a 3 hour time difference
I think Kendrick the type to drop an album same day as Drake
I mean history shows that that's actually Drake's thing. He not only dropped a hastily put together project on one of Kendrick's album release days. He actually recently attempted to do that again because he thought that an album was coming a lot sooner and got some misinformation about the day.
Need that
Hopscotch 2:59 traditionally has 12 squares, and yes, he skipped over the 6. Kdot, i bow to you my lyrical Sr.
Everything I see about hopscotch says it typically is played with 10 squares.
By farrrr my favorite Kendrick music video since King Kunta
Drake should retire now
Ty exactly it’s done!!!
His music sound different now fasho. Kendrick did drake dirtier than pusha did. I never expected that tbh
Yall lame asl..retire!!!!?? He'll be fine in a couple of months yall so ready to get rid of him 😂😂
Realistically, before this beef even started he should have Took a 2-3 years off.
Nah bro Drizzy still a legend bro Dot won this all the way but we want that 2009 drake dem fire verses 😂😂
him caging the owl at the end sent chills 😂
I hate that Joe Budden didn't make money in hip hop because his catalog is impeccable. One of my top fives, and he quit rap for real. I know he found the bag was in podcasting Because no one really knows about his catalog. When I tell people Joe Budden is in my top 5 I got to start explaining **** And I tell them let me guess you never actually heard a Joe Budden album and I'm usually right. His last three songs going in on Drake are crazy, but Kendrick is a different type of beast I can't stop Rocking with it they not like us! Wap wap wap i'ma do my stuff
The fact that Dot was wearing white on white in the video assuming Drake would be at Michael Rubins all white party on the 4th is hilarious & genius at the same time.
When Noe said “ go to Michael Rubin party” I just busted out laughing
Undisputed winner is Kendrick !! there's no questioning that! and I loved all his diss tracks but am i wrong for hoping there's no remix, even though I know it'd fire, I just want the battle to end as 1v1 and not feel like more people jumped on to diss... 🤔🤔 maybe... unless it's Future, Asap Rocky, Rick Ross and any other rapper that got dissed by Drake
Sitting in the hospital making funeral arrangements for a beloved family member. In a time of sorrow what do I hear? The nurses station listening tothe JBP. You guys truly are entertaining and bring joy to a lot of people.
I hope Kendrick seats down with Joe Budden when he does a media run. I need Joe to document a big hip hop moment.. he deserves it and artists should give him a chance.
If Joe can get his misogynistic undertones under control, yeah.
Joe. It gives a lot of Creators CONTENT and makes the people money. Having intricate things to find is perfect for todays media. The more, the better.
Walkin’ is the culture of cali. Babies come out the wound c and B walkin
Kendrick pop out concert and music video was some of the greatest moments to be apart of in our current era of hip hop
Euphoria,,,, predicted this ALL, mite be the hardest of the lot
Kendrick was dancing in the hopscotch squares because it's a kids game. (A Minoorrrrr)
2:33 Mel ok I hear you
Also why does nobody mention how Kendrick almost never looked indirectly at the camera? Like he was always looking off into the distance or looking to the side
Ish too OVO for me 😂 dude looking like a can of morton's salt while they talk about kendrick
Kendrick is brilliant
The sybolism in Kendricks video is crazy. 🎯💯
What I love about the "FAMILY MATTERS" scene is that Drake is a baby daddy, Kendrick is a Father.
Not Canada Day anymore ! For my family at least , it’s indigenous day 🧡
The way Kendrick uses symbolisms and metaphors in this video is him flexing his intellectual capabilities on that ass.
@0:23 Unc getting old . Lol he needs a tutorial 😂😂
I wanna see yall do this with all media. Including movies. Y’all dissecting stuff is fascinating like what’s it like when you all link to see a movie or step out your comfort zone and watch an anime as you discuss. Like what is that shit like. I can only imagine the conversations.
The jacket says S/S for Spring/Summer, not 8/8. and it’s by Martine Rose (if I recall correctly)
Exactly! So much misinformation about it going around 😅
2:33 - 2:54 the vibe of that whole lil sequence was HILARIOUS😂😂
I don’t believe there will be subs from drake. All Kendrick need is a reason. I do agree this next album will have a lot mustard tracks. He has 45-50 mustard beats.
8/8 Emancipation Day. The first recorded celebration of the Eighth of August as Emancipation Day was in Greeneville, Tennessee in 1871.
Album on 8/8 will go crazy
Ish still salty
Ish there for the check at this point. he needs to go
Joe Budden Tams is a burger joint. Also, he did it for California, not just Compton. The video was shot in several places, not just Compton. Oh, and homie that's sitting up high. No one lets us have anything. We are big on taking what we want. History shows this.
They not like US. Is yes built and represents culture. However, it's also built on the West Coast, and no one in the game being like US. West Coast has always shown the East Coast love ALWAYS. A behavior the East Coast seems to grudgingly want to do when it comes to the West Coast! 💙❤
The HBCU bands are what's next (during football season)
Melissa, your insight was great. Saw the boys quite down
Mel thinks all west coast dances = Crip Walk 😂😂😂
I think ppl are overlooking the importance of the family part n the song playing. It was a complete full circle of him saying drake is a master manipulator n how he played right into kendricks hands. Like he knew it would play out like this n everything was prepared n well process thought. N the owls head looking coward n scared. Truly a masterpiece. Most ppl doing reviews didnt even see dave free in the video.
He does 17 push-ups because that's all he has to "drop" and give drake to be the winner. 17 grammys, more than drake. He then does a half push-up(17&a half) and scene cuts before he finishes it. He is saying his 18th Grammy is coming. Still loading...
Maybe because im from LA and been to alot of parties growing up where tommy the clown showed up but Mel sayin them havin their faces painted white as symbolism when its just the Tommy the clown dancers uniform is hilarious to me😂😂😂
She meant the containers painted white
But Kendrick said “Hey, Drake I hear you like ‘em young. You better never go to cell block one” that’s what he said
Ish silence speaks volumes 😂 sook
