One set I think is underrated is Eager vs Fnatic at regionals, everyone said Eager would win, Eager said they would win(When they beat NV they shouted “we’re going to worlds!!” And were laughing”) Omega trash talking Maniakk, the legendary comms and trash talk from Maniakk, the Bacchus Freya bans instantly before game 2. So much drama in one set of you know the context, probably my favourite set ever. Would love to see a video on it cause I think we haven’t seen a set like it ever since.

Underdog story with Enemy, crazy cheese with Cog vs C9 (game 2 with goobis and nem support like wtf? 🤔😂), Eager vs Fnatic and Paradigm vs Epsilon with trix going blink hog Wukong and stealing the first red buff. There won’t be another regionals like that ever again I don’t think.
I don’t know if it’s meta or skill overall increasing over time, probably both, but these games seem way more entertaining than 99% of today’s SPL games tbh
Nah it’s survivorship bias, as you look back into the backlog of SPL games, the boring ones don’t get reuploaded and such so you only see the interesting games when looking back, but if you watch live then you watch *all* the games, so those more boring ones or less skilful ones are also watched

The play wasn't THAT crazy. SSG just misplayed and Baskin was patient enough to line his stun up right. Dodging the Thor 3 is not even worth mentioning. Thor was using his 3 on Rav and Baskin had about 10 hours to dodge the 3. Someone on SSG even called out watch out for Morri stun, but that person said it way too soft and kinda late. They also knew all beads were down. Just a good heads up play
He was 30% hp, they didn’t expect Morrigan to get a 4 man stun I don’t even think his team expected it tbh. Also this is pro play, would take some serious balls to pull off something like that

Not taking away from baskin's play but it was more so ssg misplaying there than baskin doing something amazing
