  • In this video, students from Ball State University explain how diapers absorb so much water. They run a quick experiment and discover that the white powder inside the diaper is responsible. With a little help from an extra-smart baby, they ultimately discover that the secret is sodium polyacrylate, a water-absorbing polymer.
