Hey Diana, your video reminds me of when I ended up living in Mexico for six months after traveling there for Christmas with a friend from the US. I loved the relaxed vibe to life that is so different from the US. I travelled around with a group of locals exploring legendary areas believed to be the hidden sites of old treasures. I totally enjoyed myself, but had to come home because of work obligations. I've never forgotten the great experience and hope to one day invest in a property there and live there in retirement. Keep up the great videos.

@@diannaalugo You're very welcome! It was a dream come true. In a nutshell I lived in three states-Michoacan, Jalisco, and Nayarit. I did everything with locals and rarely travelled alone. In six months we did things like started a new Mine to extract gemstones; we excavated certain areas looking for an old secret underground network of cave hideouts that Bandoleros are rumored to have used in the Cristeros Revolution (1926-29); we looked for buried secret cache's of stolen gold shipments that were stolen by Bandoleros from stage coaches and trains in the late 1800's early 1900's and then rumored to have been buried in rural areas; and we also fulfilled the bucket wishes for many ancianos by listening to their leyendas that there are strange burning lights late at night in spots where there are buried treasures, and then taking them along to dig out those treasures. It gave them satisfaction and closure to do something that they had wished to do before dying. All in all it was a great time. Many times since, I have yearned to be able to walk away from it all here and live full time in Mexico in some ranchito and just share in the struggles and joys of everyday life there. Life is much simpler there compared to here. That's why I enjoy channels like yours by persons who get it! So thumbs up to your channel, videos and goals!

Hello 👋 I just found your video because I AM starting my search for making my dream come true of moving to Mexico City by myself in June 2023. Hoping to take my heart where it belongs and start the next phase of my spiritual development.

Hey, found you from TikTok! This is something that I have been planning to do for about 3-4 months now!! Hopefully by the beginning of 2023 I’ll be living there! How have you enjoyed it? How is the area that you live in? From what it seems you live in Roma Norte? Would you recommend a different location? Great content btw!

Make the move!!!! It was one of the best decisions I’ve made even though I was there just for a month. I stayed in Roma Norte which is a little more pricey compared to other neighborhoods. But I knew it was going to be safer for me as I was there alone. I definitely recommend living in that neighborhood or in Condensa, there’s a lot of cool shops and restaurants around there. Check out Brew Brew when you go!! The horchata cold brew & chilaquiles are delicious💌
